He took off the old ones and put the new ones on and said if you mom needs anything tell her to come here and we will help her out. If its something easy that we can do, we will. I was skeptical as there's so many memes out there about "typical" car salesmen. I'm here to tell you that Romeoville Toyota is DIFFERENT THEN ANY OTHER DEALERSHIP YOU'VE EVER BEEN TO! In the best ways! First of all, the staff is young and they all have good hair;) No older, balding men here with bad jokes. I worked with 4 people total during my car purchase- the first being Ivan who d the differences between the SUVs I was looking at, and was patient when I asked to test drive 2 different ones. He even moved a car from INSIDE the dealership so I could test drive that model (it was the only one they had!). Sam and Kim were my point people for my trade in and finances. They were both friendly, informative and low pressure. That's unheard of in car sales! The final person I worked with was the manager Karl. He weaved in and out during the sales process to check in with me and run searches on possible cars incoming that had the bells and whistles I was looking for. Secondly, the dealership itself was incredibly clean. All the tables, waiting area, bathrooms and even the service garage was pristine! Despite several employees sitting at their desks, no one acknowledged me or asked if I needed help. Eventually, I was directed to Jim Carver, the service manager. After waiting while he and another employee walked around for several minutes without any communication, I asked, "Do you guys give updates?" Without even stopping his conversation, he shook his head "no" and told another employee to "handle her." I was then informed that they had lost my keys. Losing keys is a mistake that can happen. The complete lack of communication, accountability, and professionalism is what made this experience unacceptable. Being dismissed in front of a room full of employees was humiliating. As the service manager, Jim Carver sets the example for his team, and unfortunately it was not one of respect or customer service. After reading other reviews, I noticed similar complaints about interactions with Jim Carver.
