I called back a second time to verify the price and make an appointment. Once again making sure they knew what I had. Today when I arrived they said $174 was the price and oh, by the way you car is making a belt squeelibg noise. Trying to upsell me and not honor their price. After some discussion about honoring their price. I left. Less than a mile away I got the work done for $80. Midas won't see me again. I'm still recovering from my last "repair" and feel cheated even more from their price gouging Today (Thursday). I got my (non) apology from Midas. According to the manager it was still all my fault that they gave me an incorrect quote. He asked what could they do to make it right. I replied that an apology and admitting they had made a mistake would do it. That did NOT happen. All he could say was he was sorry I felt that way Now it is some time since my original review. I have found I'm banned for life from Midas. I spent thousands there before this review, but I'm now being considered a nickel and dimer for expecting them to honor a quote. The issues didn't stop there. This happened on a Friday. I was told my car would be ready before 4:00 PM, but around 4:30 PM I only received a last-minute text update. I arrived at approximately 5:09 PM, and the shop was already closed. There was no one available, no way to speak to anyone, and no reliable way to get updates or access my vehicle. Because of the timing and the fact that it was already Friday evening, my car would have been stuck there all weekend until Monday, which directly affected my work schedule.
