I've been coming here for years for oil changes and the last couple times have been less than professional. This time took the cake. I had use my own gas to go purchase my own oil filter because they didn't have the one my car needs. This isn't the first time I've brought my car here but this was a first. I paid over $5 for a filter from where they told me to go buy one and they are only discounting me $1.70 for supplying my own filter even though there isn't one filter on their shelves less than $7. Apparently fram went out of business and they don't have the filter for my car. I can't be the only 2025 Tahoe that comes in for oil changes. And why should the consumer have to pick up the slack!! The oil change is over $60 and they can't discount me for money out of my pocket to get an oil filter?!!! This Walmart does stuff like this all the time. Might be worth the gas to go to Visalia where they are more consumer friendly. And better customer service. read more

I called yesterday and they said if I got here and there were no appointments waiting the could take me in. I arrived and there was literally no one in line and no one in the oil change bay. A guy walked out and asked if I had an appointment and I said no and he said he wouldn't be able to take my car until this afternoon. I looked around and literally nobody was waiting. He said he had to be in the shop because he was shorthanded, but he wasn't doing anything. One guy was in tire side working on a car and there was one more waiting for tires but NONE waiting for oil. He refused service so I went 25 miles out of my way to go to a different Walmart for service. read more

Definitely not the place for those who are busy and need reliability in their schedules. And today was the last straw for me. I had a 7:00 AM appointment yesterday, I arrived at 7 AM, and all the garage doors were closed, the lights were off, and the access door was locked. I walked up and tried the door and knocked on it. I looked through the windows. At 7:01 AM, I sent a text to the number that texts reminders: "I am outside but the doors are closed." I waited a couple more minutes and then left, since I had no assurance anyone would come since everything looked completely desolate with no one inside and the lights even off. Then, today, I come in person to ask what happened to my appointment, and the woman says she'll go tell a manager and to wait there. What she didn't tell me, is that the door locks behind her and I'd be trapped in the auto area if she takes longer than I can afford. This had actually happened to me before here with my banging on the window to no avail for the staff to let me back out, and I have no idea how they justify locking customers in like that. (Managers, change the door so it doesn't lock people inside since there's often not an employee that can let them back out to their vehicle outside). Sure enough, she takes a long time, and when she comes back she says the managers checked the cameras and it was open at 7:00. I tell her it certainly wasn't, and show her the text I sent with a time stamp of 7:01 AM. She sticks to her story that "all the doors" were open, the lights were on, and they were open at 7 AM. (They weren't). She even says she doesn't know why I didn't walk all the way around the Walmart Supercenter to the front entrance, to then walk back to the auto center from the inside, because someone was there. Live and learn. They offer free tire rotations when you buy your tires there, but this is the real price. And to complete my warning, you should be advised that the tire rotations take like an hour here--when you're not dealing with stuff like locked doors, no one at the desk, and now their altogether not showing up and then refusing to own up to it. read more

Brought in my car for new tires and to install new tpms sensors. Asked beforehand if they would install aftermarket sensors and they said yes. Ordered the sensors and got them before the appointment. Upon installing them the tech said she would not install them because they had a plastic washer. I pointed out she tried to hide the metal washer on the floor where she dumped out the parts. Then she tried telling me she couldn't install them because they came in 2 pieces. I told her they came in 1 piece and she took them apart. Then the manager told me he would not install them because they weren't oem and they looked different. I showed him the website I ordered them from and they had 10 different sensors all saying oem and they all looked different and the description of the one I ordered said OEM. Still refused to install them. Nothing but excuses not to do work. read more

Currently been waiting for 3 hours to purchase two tires. Wait is ridiculous, time is precious I rather pay a little extra and be seen asap at a family owned shop. Next time for sure. read more

Today was the second time I took my car to Walmart for an oil change in a week and was told the wait was three hours. It's 9 AM in the morning on a Sunday. And it's also the second time I was told that the wait was long because they were understaffed. Today someone called off and another person just didn't show up. I used to get oil changes there all the time and that's a shame their service has gone downhill. read more

If you are the type of person that relishes spending their hard-earned days off in places like the DMV and hospital waiting rooms, then this is the Auto Center for you! I brought my car in for the most basic oil change. They told me to expect a wait of about an hour and a half, which I thought was reasonable. I left, and returned an hour and a half later to discover that they had not even moved my car out of the parking lot yet! Another hour elapsed, still nothing. I then politely asked again how long it would be, and I didn't really get an answer. They did however pull my car up to the work station, which makes me think they forgot about it until I said something? It then took another 30 minutes for them to actually start work on my car, after what could have either been a grand exchange of intellect and wisdom about the task in-hand, or (most likely) a lot of non-work related gossip. Another 45 minutes later and the work was finally complete! In total, it took 3 hours and 45 minutes!! The only reason that I am giving 2 stars and not one is that my car came back in good working order the way it went in (which is better than Les Schwab Tires managed to do a few months ago!). I checked the oil again later myself to make sure they actually changed it, and I can assure you it was done. read more
