The experience was frustrating and unprofessional. We won't be returning. Very Long Story: First Visit (Diagnostic Only): We booked an appointment for 8:30 AM, but the email confirmation showed 12 PM. After chatting with an agent to confirm, we were told 8:30 AM was correct--already a red flag for poor coordination. We understood that diagnostics can take time, but we received no updates the entire day. We had to call them ourselves at 3 PM just to learn that the diagnostic was finished and they were preparing a quote. After waiting another 2 hours, we received a text-only estimate of $3,000. It was unprofessional--no itemized breakdown, no explanation, and no email follow-up. Because of the delay, we couldn't proceed with the repair that weekend. We were charged around $100 for the diagnostic, which we were willing to pay--but it was disappointing because we had planned to get the car repaired with them. According to AAA's promotion, the diagnostic should've been free with a repair, so we didn't expect the charge. That left us a bit upset. Second Visit - Actual Repair: Still, we decided to give AAA another chance. We dropped off the car on Thursday and clearly told them we would pick it up Friday at 9 AM. Even though they said the work would only take "a couple of hours," we gave them the entire day just to be safe and rented a car at our own expense. However, when we arrived at 10 AM on Friday, we were shocked to learn they had just started working on our car--even though we had a confirmed appointment with them. They told us the repair didn't begin until Thursday evening, which they never informed us about. We returned again at 1 PM, only to find the car was still not ready. They said it was out for a test drive that had already lasted over 40 minutes. We had no choice but to wait--and ended up being late for work.

For some reason, something was nagging me to just take it to another shop. Nevertheless, I contacted Boyd's and scheduled appointment. During the call, I advised of the coupon and provided my make/model of my vehicle. If this coupon would not be honored - due to the type of oil - then I should have been told during that call. Upon arriving, the man at the counter was not trying to hear me and kept mansplaining that the coupon I needed to use was the one on the bottom, which would require an up charge due to my car not using conventional. He was NOT hearing me about wanting the other coupon, stating my car didn't take conventional oil.......it didn't take it for the other coupon either which is why I needed to do upcharge. I was okay with paying additional fee for the $44.95 coup; however, they were not honoring THEIR coupon and I would have to start at $79 for services on the $44.95 coupon. PERHAPS A BAIT AND SWITCH? Another man on the phone interjected to "just give it to her" and started looking a for way to ring it up. However, another man immediately came from the back area and started the same mansplaining, saying no to the other man's trying to find solution. As it turns out, Boyd's had correctly identified a problem which a body shop and the dealer later missed. I am most grateful to them. The front subframe was indeed rusted out. When some rust scale was removed, you could see a hole in the subframe, and it was clear that it was compromised in other areas as well. Boyd's is once again my go-to shop. I was reassured that the quality and honesty I have expected from them for over 25 years now continues.

This place is run like an absolute mess. I arrived at 10:45 and was told that I needed a tire…read morerepair and a tire replacement for both drivers side tires on my 2021 Chevy Trax LT AWD. I was quoted 224 dollars for the service, and was told it would be done by 1:00. The assistant manager Hunter then told me at 1:15 (they only started working in my vehicle at 1:00) that they could not repair my tire as "someone has already repaired it," (which is untrue as I've only had the tire less than a year and have never had it repaired) and that I needed to buy another new tire. So now I've had to pay 450 dollars. I had to wait another hour for my vehicle to be completed. Once I got back in the vehicle, my tire pressure light was on, and my dash said "tire pressure monitor system maintenance required." When I came this morning, I had no lights or warnings on my dash. The service tech (I believe his name was Titus) then lied to me, saying that he had to "re-learn" the tire pressure sensors to the car, and that the passenger side rear tire pressure sensor was dead. I told him this was impossible, as I had them replaced in January of this year at the dealership. The assistant manager Hunter then checked my vehicle, and told me that the service tech (Titus?) never "re-learned" the sensors to the vehicle, and that he had to do it himself! TLDR: This Discount Tire will overcharge you, lie to you, avoid any accountability, and disrespect your time. Go anywhere but here.
