A&M gear is common here since this is smack dab in the middle of Aggie land so I'll sometimes grab an Aggie piece of clothing or artifact for my Houston friends who are A&M alumni. An observation of mine is how clean and organized this Costco is. Not to mention the customer service is one of the better ones as it's mainly college students and Aggie graduates who are employed here. And it's not packed to the gills with people so I can shop with space and peace. Although that's probably due to coming here on late afternoon weekdays. In comparison to the ones in Houston, this one is run much better with more civilized patrons. Way to go College Station Costco!

I was past due according to my mileage and the date since last serviced. The guys there checked my oil, and one came up to my window and told me that my oil was still really good, so it didn't NEED to be changed yet. He gave me the option of changing it anyway, or them just getting me a new sticker and sending me on my way. Meanwhile, another worker was checking my tires. He checked all my pressures and filled the tires to the appropriate pressure. He showed me an area where I had a piece of plastic stuck in my tire and told me that I should get it to a tire shop as soon as possible because my tires still looked brand new. I thanked him. You don't run in to people every day that are just looking to do the right thing. These guys could have made an extra buck on changing my oil, anyway. They sent me on my way with a new oil sticker, on the house, and a smile on my face. Thanks guys!

We ladies hate going to places where the staff is condescending. While I am not a gearhead, I know the specs on my particular car, the tire specs, how many motor mounts there are as opposed to how many on my other car, etc. I have a general idea of when i am getting bullshat. Even if I DIDNT know anything about cars, it's still inappropriate to treat people that way. You don't know about treating cancer, but if your oncologist treats you like a moron when you need his help, he's not fit for the job. So I never get that sense from these folks. They're courteous and the price is reasonable. For peripheral things it can be cheaper than your dealer. They wanted twice as much at the dealer to change the rear differential fluid, for example. They seem to have days when women/seniors/veterans get discounts, yay. To the reviewer who had to wait 'too long', I don't know what to tell ya..it's like any other lube place, you drive up, you get in line. If the line looks long, come back another time, you know? Or go to your dealer where you get an appointment time but pay more. (Bring cash if you tip, btw. They cannot add it to your credit card and I felt like a skunk when at least three people descended on my car and all I had was one five dollar bill cause no one uses cash anymore. I was impressed because they were particularly busy that day and I told them I was in no rush at all, but they still made sure to get me taken care of quickly. My lug nuts were also pretty badly swollen. I'd been meaning to get some new ones for a while, but they were able to offer me a set of one-piece nuts so I wouldn't run into the swelling issue in the future. It didn't feel like an "upsell" or anything like that, because it was something my car genuinely needed. They weren't pushy, they were just trying to address an issue for me that they could take care of while I was there. The price for the set of lug nuts was more than fair as well. Overall, the service was excellent, the pricing for everything was very fair and reasonable, they were quick, and I'm glad I did business with them!

We arrived and they pulled the car in right away, removed the wheels and brought the new tires out. The "We keep you rolling" truck promptly loaded our tires up and drove off. After waiting for a couple hours, I inquired, since I could see nothing changed for a while. Apparently, the truck was on the way back. So we end up paying more here than Discount Tire, had to order tires since 17" tires were not in stock, and took much longer with a lack of communication. Thought we'd give them a chance, but not impressed.
