This place has been a constant pain…read more Aside from the awkward long waits at the counter that usually lack any semblance of customer service aside from announcing my total, I can't say I've had a good experience in the 15+ times I've been there. I've returned things before and the staff was extremely rude about it. Between myself and my father a we do a significant amount of business there. I recently spent almost 2k in parts alone on a project between a few different stores. I know I spent around 800 on the one here. Most recently I called in to order a part. They called back to say they couldn't find it at the store they were going to have to have it delivered from. When I asked if they could get it from any place else, they said no. A few extra days wait ? No big deal to me. Still a no. Will you ever be able to order the part you very clearly sell without demanding I buy the over priced 3 times the cost same thing ? Nope. After stating that it's funny that more than one store in about a 100 mile radius carries it I heard the dial tone. I can see online it's in stock in a few different stores of theirs. I don't hate Advanced. I just hate the way this store is ran. Telling me there is no solution is a pretty great way to guarantee that at least in this town, I'll constantly be taking my business elsewhere. - come to find out Amazon is a great place to find some things. Stuff like jacks and tools are there, but barely better represented than at the Univ. Dr. O'Reilly store. I once tried to find a lug-nut for my car (its not a damned Hispano-Suiza; its a friggin' Toyota!), and ended up having to drive all the way to Hwy 21 & Gordon's Truck & Auto Salvage. Another time I needed engine mounts, which I knew they wouldn't stock. They had some problem with their software and the serial #s of the required parts. First they told me the two different mounts were the same price. Then they called back, a day and a half later, telling me they could only order on of the two, and that I'd have to order the other at the dealership. I decided to do both at the dealer, before the story, or their hapless supply pipeline change again.

This business is very poorly managed by allowing this conduct to occur. We were cussed out and threatened TWICE that "a gun would be put to our heads" if we attempted to pick up my trailer. Matt handled our GN livestock trailer repairs that totalled $2655.72 and of that amt. $202.40 was tax. We are a farm/ranch and have a Agricultural/Timber tax exempt permit. I told him that I had already sent my horse trainer to pick up the trailer with a check made out less the tax. Matt totally freaked out and started screaming, cussing and threatening us. I assured him not to worry and that we would pick up the trailer no matter what was owed. I called my CPA and he said to pay the tax which is exactly what we did. This business DOESN'T HANDLE PROBLEMS OR DISAGREEMENTS VERY WELL AT ALL. What a horrible experience all over a tax exempt issue. TEXAS CUSTOMZ has lost us as a customer forever. Eventually the A/C stopped blowing air completely and I noticed the low pressure line super cold like it was frozen. Did some YouTube DIY and replaced the blower motor and the resistor by myself for the cost of my back and spine from all the twisting and turning I had to do to get to these parts. After completing everything, it didn't work so I gave up. It's summer time so I don't wanna be slow roasting in my car so I google searched random places near my home and was able to get ahold of Justin who was nice enough to look at my car less than 10mins before they closed shop. They created a service ticket and got to work with my car. Turns out, I didn't snap in the plug all the way through smh lol, but Justin was able to get back in there to finish the job. I paid less than $70 for total service which I was happy about because I thought he was gonna tell me the issue was worse and that it was gonna cost me my wallet and soul.
