My 19 year old teenaged daughter, who is a student, took her 2005 Honda Accord (almost 20 year old car) to your location and she requested for the "cheapest oil change". The manager on duty (Buddy) told her that the dealership recommends the synthetic oil at $85 per oil change! It doesn't matter what the dealership wanted, she wanted the cheapest oil change. We all know that the 20 year old car does NOT need an $85 oil change! She felt intimidated and pressured and did not realize that she had just paid for an $85 oil change. I called the next day (today) and spoke with Buddy who refused to credit her the difference between the $85 oil change and the cheapest oil change (a difference of $40). I didn't want a full refund, just a refund on the difference. Buddy refused to refund her the difference. I own a business as well so I understand upselling and commissions. The Take 5 employees told her she needed new wiper blades, air filters, blah blah blah. She said, "I'm a poor college student. I don't want any of that. I just want the cheapest oil change please." They still proceeded to give her the $85 oil change. I promised Buddy that I will post negative reviews, fill out the survey, blast this experience on social media and all of the Aggie Network. I'll tell all the Aggie Parents to never send their college students to Take 5 Oil change. We all know how strong the Aggie Network is. I didn't want anything free, but I gave him a chance to refund her and make things right with her, but he refused. So here I am, I'm going to post negative, yet honest reviews on yelp, the Better Business Bureau, social media, twitter, etc and I will share my terrible experience with every Aggie parent I know. Your business is unethical, overpriced, and I would never recommend anybody going to your establishment, especially if their child is a young 19-year-old girl who drives a 20-year-old car who simply requested for the "cheapest oil change". read more

This place has a history of taking advantage of customers, especially women. Read the reviews. I went in for an oil change and inspection. I was told that the coolant tank smelled and had sludge in it. Johnathan/the manager presented the sale as though the price he gave would cover everything. When discussing the services I would receive, I asked him if that price included my oil change and asked which option would this include. He confirmed yes it included the oil change and told me I'd receive Premium like last time. However, after services were rendered, I'm told the total is much higher than what was previously mentioned. He did NOT mention this higher price earlier but claimed to have told me earlier in our conversation. I would've turned down the added service if I were made aware of the actual price. He never specified that the price he gave was for a portion of the services being provided. When it's time to leave, I try to talk to him about my concern again and he just tells me he doesn't know what to do because the job is already done. I asked to speak to the owner and was told to give my number and he will contact me. Long story short, go somewhere else that doesn't use shady tactics to upsell customers and take advantage of women. read more

I brought in my car for an oil change - they did a good job. But they also changed my AC filter and put it back incorrectly. Leaves then got into the AC blower and made a terrible sound. I had to pay my mechanic $100 for the labor of investigating the problem, cleaning out the leaves, and explaining why I should never go back to Take 5 again. read more

The technicians didn't put the skid plate back correctly. I was driving and it fell off. Now I got to get a new one. They just don't pay attention to what's happening, and you can tell the techs. hate their job. Also, they almost put the wrong oil in the car. Just avoid this place. It's the worst. read more

My daughter took her 2022 HRV in for its first inspection since new. They used intimidation tackets on a young girl and told her that could not I spect it without replacing windshield wipers. Told her it would be an additional 39.00 for wipers. When she got the bill they charged her almost 90.00 for wipers. I can buy oem for 29.00. We will never use take 5 ever again at any location. This is what they train their employees to do. They want 90.00 dollars for an oilchange. I can get oil change and tire rotation for 69.00 at Honda dealer in Irving. I typically don't get in here and write reviews. But, I felt the need to this time. I had a very bad experience. The gentleman that assisted me with my oil change and inspection was very intimidating and rude. I am a young girl, who can already be intimated when going to get my car worked on. Although, I have common sense and knowledge of vehicles. I was treated poorly. The man failed to look me in my eyes when speaking. Slammed the receipt on my dash. No explanation. My inspection failed due to my window tint. I bought the car out of state.. since I'm here for school. The windows had already been tinted. I didn't understand what failing meant or what to do next. No explanation of what was wrong. He didn't even say it failed. I read that. He wanted me to leave, that was clear. He was annoyed with me. Car inspections every year are not required where I am from, only when you purchase a vehicle. I experienced poor customer service. As a customer I felt belittled by this man. read more

I took my car in for an oil change and a part was missing from my car. I have tried to get hold of them and I have called the corporate office several times. They have hung up on my several times. The few times I have gotten hold of them, they told me that they do not have the part in yet but they will order it and get back to me. It's been over a month and they are dodging my calls. Took my 2016 2500HD 6.0 in for a quick change Sunday. Had a young kid immediately ask which cap under the hood was the oil cap which immediately scared me. Thankfully another employee stepped in and handled my oil change. Oil change went fast and easy was quite alarmed at the price though. Cost me $105 dollars for high mileage synthetic . According the her it was 89.99 for 5 quarts and 9.99 for the 6th quart. By far the most expensive oil change I've ever had, especially when I can buy the same oil for 29.99 per 5 qt from Walmart or autozone. I could have easily bought 6 qts royal purple and the filter and been at half the cost. I won't return for anymore changes from here. Not because of the service but simply the cost. read more

Wow stay in your car they change the oil in and out in under 15 minutes and they brought me a bottle of cold water. The mechanics are very helpful and explain everything to you and just seem to want what is best for your car. I don't know that I will go anywhere else to get an oil change now. read more

I pulled up and got in line to one of the bays. When the car in front of me left, one of the employees cane up to my car and said you will need to back up and let this car in another line go in front of you. I said what are you talking about? He said well they were here before you so they go first. I said well they're in a different line. He said that line is about to open up so you'll be in pretty quick. I said well why don't you let them go when that line opens up. I said are you serious that you want me to back up move over and let another car back up and go in front of me? He said yes. I said I'm going to leave if that's the case. He said ok. So I left and went to their other location. Where I was there before 2 other cars and they both were there after me and both were finished and out before I was. If it had been the same at both locations I could understand but because it wasn't I'm dissatisfied. I'm giving a 2 star instead of a 1 star simply because I feel both locations have great pricing. read more
