I'm not sure what took me so long to finally attend a concert here since I've lived here, but I have now been to two concerts since August! Woohoo, haha. Both were amazing concerts and I really liked the venue. It is outdoors/open, but there is a covering for the stage and seats closer to the stage. You can get tickets to stand in the pit, "box seats" (seats that are closed off by a fence, in groups of about 12), Sections B/C which are seats, and lawn seats (bring your own chairs/blankets and these seats are not covered by any awning or roof). I've been able to sit in the box seats and in section B, of course box seats were my favorite haha, we were right behind the pit, but high enough to see above people that were standing. Both concerts have been great (I loved the artists) and the stage/light effects were amazing! The sound was good too, but for one of the concerts it was so loud. Yes, yes, I know concerts are loud and that is cool, but it was burst your eardrum and go deaf loud. Maybe it is that I'm not in my 20s anymore haha, but I had wished I brought little ear plugs with me because it was unnecessarily loud (this is the reason for 4 and not 5 stars). Maybe I'm more paranoid because some people in my family have some deafness and I'm a sign language interpreter for the deaf, but they need to turn it down a notch. I was able to park in VIP parking both times, the best way to go since it is right next to the venue coming from the back/lawn side. It is easy to enter through there and get to any seats relatively soon. The venue as a whole is not huge so it is easy to go from one side to the other. I also had access to the VIP lounge area which is to the left of the stage (if you were looking at it). It is a covered space with free food and a couple bars to purchase drinks. I have not been impressed with the food, basic fruit, cheese, apps assortment, but I do love the s'more bar. The s'more bar has different s'more toppings to choose from and you can roast your marshmallow too. There are multiple vendors throughout the venue to buy food/drinks from. Since both times I had access to the lounge I did not purchase anything else, I can't comment on the vendors specifically. Overall, I enjoyed my time at the amp venue and will definitely go again. read more

Hm, well - great sound, very cool visuals and light shows, super clean for a concert venue (but it's brand new, so, duh!) and shockingly well designed. Concessions are spread out to shorten lines, the built-in bathrooms are supplemented by massive banks of porta-potties, and the majority of seats of in a raised field in the middle of the amphitheater - which means it's pretty cozy, and they can jam *way* more people in a small space. Speaking of, it's small! Especially considering the size of shows there. If it's a relatively popular artist, get in super early and grab some field space. And make sure you have an easy way to find/be found by your group or you will be like those poor dudes we saw making laps for three songs :/ At the end of the day though, pretty awesome venue. We went to see The Lumineers, and we were very impressed with their show and how well set up the venue was to let them be themselves. Between a mid-crowd second set where they performed two songs off-stage, and the light show and giant screens focussed on the band, we were able to hear and see the performance very well, and had what felt like front-row seats to the poignant stories about inspirations for songs. We also tried the veggie burger (not bad, a black-bean burger with fixin's) and the Street Tacos (good! But all meat. With a little salsa on top. No rice, no vegetables, just meat. Hit the spot though!) If you feel like avoiding the crowd, there are a lot of angled lawns all around the place, and a little group could easily hear the show perfectly from our there, just saying ;) read more

My brother and I came here recently for the Macklemore and Kesha concert and we had a great time! The staff really coordinated parking and seating well. There was a staff member making sure people were able to squeeze into the grass. There was an abundance of concession stands and bathrooms. We were all the way at the top of the amphitheater but the acoustics were so nice it didn't feel like we were that far away. There are plenty of big screens so no matter how far back you are you can still see. My brother and I drove from Little Rock to see this concert and are so glad we did because we had a great time. read more

Most of the positive reviews the AMP receives are because people around here have no other venue options without driving multiple hours away. Go to any major outdoor venue and you'll see all that is wrong with the AMP. Many negatives -very corporate (which is a necessary evil in this area to get the names they do) makes seats pretty limited because a lot of the area is taken up by corporate boxes -only two main entry points and lines usually move extremely slow -concessions are also very slow and limited. The lines are ridiculously long, you can miss 3-4 songs just getting a beer -bathrooms are also few with long lines -website to buy tickets can't handle the traffic when tickets go on sale -they oversell the lawn and big concerts make the audience feel like sardines packed together They are adding a more diverse lineup (thankfully not just country anymore). They get two stars because lack of competition for other venues and the lineup is improving. It's simply not anywhere close to a big time concert venue but there aren't any other options close by. They didn't build it for the demand in this area and it needs an expansion in a very bad way. read more

They screw you over on tickets. They will let you buy the tickets months in advance and to make plans and then take your tickets back. They should fix their website rather than screwing fans and paying customers. read more

What a wonderful addition to NWA! The AMP is always a good time and its hard to miss. This beautiful pavilion has come a long way from its beginning days behind the NWA mall in Fayetteville. This new pavilion has box seating arrangements a lounge, grass seats to enjoy in the sun and enough room to facilitate beer and food for everyone. On this particular night I came to see Darrius Rucker. The show was great! The VIP lounge was a really nice way to enjoy the music but not have to sit in front of the stage. They kept the drinks flowing as long as we paid in American currency. I will be back for more. read more

I admit that my expectations were pretty low for the AMP. For one, I fully expected all of the corporate signage and sponsorships that a lot of reviews mention - if anything, I expected even more of that so I was pleasantly surprised on my first visit! It's not the best outdoor venue I have visited, but it's certainly a good one. It is well organized and very clean. Plenty of nice restrooms, parking nearby (even with adjacent construction projects in July 2019), and there were people directing traffic. I came with a group of girlfriends to see Jimmy Eat World and Third Eye Blind. We opted for a cheap pack of lawn tickets since none of us are big fans of the bands and just wanted a fun girls night out. This place definitely delivered on that. We only bought non-alcoholic beverages but they weren't too pricey for a music venue and everyone we encountered was very polite (staff and other concert goers). The lawn was somewhat shaded and very comfortable with the thin blankets we brought, and the biggest benefit of the AMP lawn is its slant which has absolutely perfect sight line to the main stage. I'm not sure how much of this last detail can be attributed to the AMP versus the acts who performed on our visit, but their performances started right on time which was refreshing. To be honest, I wasn't that excited about seeing a show here but now I am sure I'll return. read more

I went to the jmblya fest here at the Walmart pavilion and waited there for 12 hours to see one of my favorite performers juicewrld. Right as he starts his performance they turn his mic off and the screens off. Walmart does not care about the people watching they just want their money. Even juicewrld wanted to perform for us. If it is a "rain or shine" event that means even if it's raining the show still goes on. After this 145 dollar loss not even including the gas it cost from all the way from Memphis and the hotel room I rented I will NEVER EVER go back to the Walmart amp again and definitely giving it bad reviews to anyone that asks me about it. read more

You all have some major work to do in the organization department. 3,000+ people missed the opening act last night at the =w= show due to your lack of planning. Even the artist himself called you out on Twitter. Please hire someone who knows how to handle crowds. Also, your lawn area is horrible. Jammed in like sardines is not fun. Could have been designed a lot better. read more

Been to several concerts at The AMP and loved them all. We will go back again. Always a great lineup, even for a small area. Great venue. Be careful of their ticket costs though. They add an $8 fee per person during purchase and then a $5 web order fee. Just tell me the correct price up front and I'll decide based on that, no need to hide these things. read more

A great venue for the whole family and a terrific new ad to Northwest Arkansas. Easy access. Great sight lines. Comfortable amenities. Terrific location to view live performances. They're starting to bring in multipurpose activities such as food and wine tastings. Parking needs improvement. I'm not quite sure they have figured out sound quality issues. Overall a nice addition. read more

If you are disabled consider going to a different venue entirely. They do not allow the disabled to sit with their group. Also I was harassed 5 times by their staff wanting me to prove my disability. Having to give detailed health information to them and missed a large portion of the show. Every time a new staff person passed by they stopped to tell me I needed to move because I was not disabled. They need to train staff better so they understand not all disabled people who have mobility issues are in wheelchairs. Bringer wheelchair if you go otherwise you will he continually harassed all evening to prove your disabled. read more

I love this venue. Great sound and seats. Staff/Vendors are slow and under trained. The incompetence of the staff makes a 10 minute line 30 minutes by default. I've been to many show here and this is an issue every single time. Please, train some quality folks to speed up the process of buying a beer or hotdog. read more

The Panic at the Disco/Weezer show line/entrance was a complete JOKE. We paid $70 a ticket and then had to wait in a line longer than a mile for 2 hours in 95 degree weather and missed the opening act which I was looking forward to. We got there almost and HOUR before the opener was suppose to come on stage. Completely Insane! So disappointed with this venue. I've seen Paul McCartney and other artists at larger NICER venues and have never had this type of treatment. This will be noted and told to anyone I hear interested in seeing an amp show. . read more

You can't beat the Fourth of July celebration at the Amp. The gate guards let us in for the last ten minutes of the orchestra since my children never have seen an orchestra before since I have a special needs daughter I always afraid to take her to one. The amp manager will be getting a call as soon as they open after the 4th of July about how I will be always coming back to the amp. read more

Once you get into the venue it is nice. Plenty of restrooms and places to get drinks. I've seen multiple shows from the lawn and haven't ever been disappointed by the views. My low star review is based purely on crowd management and the vendors. Lines to get into the venue are atrocious and are not managed well at all. The primary lines filter in from Embassy Suites to the north and Chuey's from the south. They converge at a tiny little side walk where 1 or 2 security guards rotate which line gets to have people start coming in. This small sidewalk is also where Will Call is AND the primary box office...oh and handicap drop off and emergency handling. All these lines are converging in one spot and it's pretty much chaos. People just jumping in line is a very real expectation to have at this point. The Weezer/Panic at the Disco show introduced individual wanding and bag check for every person which caused even bigger delays (unsure if this will become the norm). It's not unusual to miss part of opening bands while you wait in line to get in. It's sad because there is a curfew for how late the shows can last...so if the shows start late, you're going to get an even shorter set list. I highly recommend getting there early and expecting to wait. The event staff haven't been very helpful when speaking with them about my experiences. They haven't been rude, just not very knowledgable on their surroundings or the event happening. As far as vendors, they've introduced credit card readers at the beer tents. My first experience using them and I was overcharged $3 per drink (Tall can of PBR is $6 already btw). I've reached out to the AMP to have corrected but haven't heard anything back at the time of writing this review. My thought of why I was overcharged is that maybe there is a default high tip OR the vendor manually tipped them-self. Either way, I will never use my card again to purchase drinks (others have probably already learned such a lesson) at this venue. Overall, the venue is physically nice and brings in some huge acts. However, crowd management (or lack thereof) can easily spoil your experience. Update 7/21/16: The charges on my account were corrected so I'm adding 1 star. read more

I saw Shinedown, Halestorm, Black Stone Cherry, and Whiskey Myer there last night and the show was amazing and the lines were not an issue.

We have always had a good time at concerts here. There are some seats better than the others. The sound may not be as good as a symphony hall, and the lines may be long, but coming from someone who grew up in northwest Arkansas and having to drive HOURS to anywhere close to see a concert, the AMP is a blessing to have in our area. Stay away from section D, if at all possible, since it is on the sides, and your view of the stage may be limited. read more

Long lines to get in, Not enough gates open. . No entry organization other than sidewalks.

The line process is awful!!! Will call, lawn, and preordered tickets are all in one line! The line was insanely long, if you have tickets already don't bother getting their early. They start on time so there's a good chance you will miss some of not most of the 1st band. Once you actually get inside (I've only gone with seat tickets) it's nice however you're overheated and exhausted by the time you get in. We ended up just sitting across the street in the shade until we could get in. read more
