My husband and I tried this place today and thought it was pretty good. He had the ultimate burger with onion rings and I had the blam bacon burger with fries. The burger buns are a four pack of Hawaiian sweet rolls toasted. We both really enjoyed our meals. Super friend staff! The only thing I will say is that they need a better ranch to go with the onion rings, but that obviously won't stop us from coming back! :) read more

Maybe deserving of 5 stars but I'm a bit of a curmudgeon. Solid 4 stars for hole in the wall burger place. If previous ownership or food ran you off as it did me....give it another try. State fair style fried deserts. So if you don't want to wait another 6 months for a deep fried twinkie or funnel cake, you don't have to. read more

This is by far the best burger in Arizona. I tried them on grub hub once "due to a car issue"then ordered them several times afterwards. The day I got transportation again my first stop was Wally burger with my kids they loved it. The restaurant is definitely decorated for families. It would behoove you to go there. read more

We ate here for the first time yesterday. The burgers were flavorful and juicy. I love that they use King's Hawaiian rolls for the bun. The onion rings were thin and crispy with onion in every bite. There are lots of condiments to choose from. You can build your own burger or get one of their specialty burgers. The food was fresh and hot. Great customer service. The owner came by our table to make sure we were happy with our food. She was very friendly. This is a small, family owed business. Cool Marvel comics decor. I want to try thier cheese steak when I return. They have many desserts also ( deep fried brownies, Twinkies etc). This is a foodies paradise which I highly recommend. read more

If you want to have the world's best, most delicious and incredibly fantastic burger, then you go to Wally burger because you won't regret it. The staff is friendly and my first time there I had a whole presentation given to me of many of the menu items!! It was so refreshing, when many times burger joints just want your order and payment. These people treat you like you are family. I felt so incredibly welcomed. Their ambiance and choice of decor is THE BEST! They have super hero's and villains everywhere from Marvel to DC! My husband and I love it! My husband also really loves their food and his favorite is the gyro, and we both have a high appreciation for the fries, onion rings that are battered! My favorite treat I've tried is the fried Oreos! When we ate them we both looked at each other in amazement. We both said "Wally burger can do nothing wrong!" They're amazing!! So please give them a try and before you know it, you too will be raving about them to friends and family just like we do! Maybe five stars as well. read more

Honestly...the burger I had wasn't that great...I experienced better. I went there for lunch and there was like a young kid was taking my order...poor customer service...and my burger came on OK. Wasn't that great and kinda pricey. read more

Just tried for the first time and I believe I've found my new burger joint. The owners we very kind and made sure my table, and others, were taken care of. Great atmosphere as well (marvel fan). Definitely be back and recommend! read more

I haven't come to this place since I was in Jr High and my husband and I decided to give it a try tonight! My daughter loved her corn dogs and pretty much ate her whole meal! Husband rated his meal a 5/10 he got a burger with Mac n cheese and Oreos, the burger was good enough. Now where I am pretty disappointed is my meal, I ordered a double cheese burger plain just meat and cheese with the fries. The burger they gave me had no cheese and all the toppings (tomato, pickles, and a sauce). Unfortunately I am pregnant and any pregnant people know that food aversions can ruin a whole meal, and my food aversion is pickles and Mustard/Mayo which is why I ordered the burger with just meat and cheese. So I threw my burger away due to the fact that I couldn't get all the sauce off the burger and bun, and the pickle juice had already made my bun soggy. If I ate in the restaurant I would have just asked for a remake, but we ordered Togo. read more

We went here today and met the nicest young woman. She was awesome and explained the menu. We had the double burger on Hawaiian rolls and they were good. The fries were hot and crispy. My husband ordered the banana split and it was humongous. We will be back again to try different things. read more

Ordered our food at 2:28, finally was delivered at 4:03, nice and luke warm/cold. All the food was 50% burnt. It was horrible. We ordered 2 cheese burgers, 2 fries, 2 shakes & 2 sodas. Nice job Wally, never ever order from here. Horrible service. read more

Wallyburger popped up on my Instagram recently. It is near my work so I gave it a try. I had the bacon cheeseburger on Hawaiian rolls. It seriously was one of the tastiest burgers I have had. Delicious! I definitely will be back. read more

I have to preface any review I write about a burger shop by saying that for me it is hard to find a bad burger at a one location mom & pop dive and it is hard to find a good burger at any chain restaurant. There is something more than the meat and bun, it is the love and need to pay the rent that goes into a burger in the small joints that makes it special. I will also say that the worst way to impress me with a burger is to make it 6' tall with every known thing that should never be added to a burger so that any possible taste of ground beef is lost forever under all the add-ons. The absolute best burgers I have had in my life are in tiny out-of-the-way shops where the owners are aged far more than the beef, with a bun, a burger and some mustard. I'll go for lettuce, tomato, onion and (yeah I know, some people hate it, ketchup). And I ALWAYS test a new place with their plainest burger on the first visit and maybe next time, if there is one, will try something fancy. All that being said, what about this small one-location place called Wally Burger in a far corner of a Target parking lot? To their credit they have been around for a while (not many Phoenix restaurants can say that) and they are consistent. This was my 4th visit and instead of a burger I made a last-minute choice to go with a Philly Cheesesteak sandwich (pictured). The sandwich combo came with some nice crunchy ripple fries (probably from frozen) but deep fried just right and a 20 oz fountain drink. I suspect they load the ratio of syrup to water in their drinks a little richer than fast food places because my orange soda had a nice satisfying taste of orange. The sandwich, though not huge, was absolutely perfect ... something so close to what you would find in Philly that you probably wouldn't want to quibble. The bun was just slightly crusty with a warm soft interior, loaded with real meat (yes, I even found a tiny bone fragment), loaded with sautéed onions and green peppers and the gooiest cheese you can imagine. It was the lunch special of the day and the total cost was almost exactly what McD's would charge for a Big Mac, fries and a drink. What I love about Wally Burger is there is no pretension. They never seem to have many customers but most likely it is because of their odd location (I hope this review helps people discover them), but they are just nice kind good people. I so want them to move just a little to some location where they can be seen from a main street (but never open more locations). But on the other hand I also so want them to just stay exactly like they are so they are always my little secret. read more

Great food and an awesome menu. This is a really nice local find. If you are looking for one of the best burgers in town, this is the place. Another great feature of this little hole in the wall is the staff. This may be the happiest and friendliest staff in the Southwest. Using Hawaiian Rolls for hamburger buns is a nice touch. The fries could be a little crispier, but I'm sure they'll do that for me if I ask. I will certainly have the opportunity since I will be back - maybe often! read more

I want to give this a 5 star review, but I cannot! My first time having Wally Burger was anout 4 to 5 months ago. I bought some for my coworker and I. We both LOVED it! The burgers were truly delicious! So of course I wanted to try it again, but this time I went with my wife. We both hated it! My burger tasted like the grill (propane gas) and so did hers. She took 1 bite and got grossed out and i ate half of mine before we threw it out. Oh, and the burgers and fries were SUPER oily! Still I wanted to give them another chance, so I got it again for my coworker and myself. Again, same thing! Tasted weird like they left it on the grill with the gas hitting the meat for 5min. This was all within the 1st month after trying it the first time. Fast forward to last week, February 5th or so, my wife and I wanted to give it a try. I got the gyro fries and a burger for both of us. Oh, and a shake as well. Gyro meat was delicious! The gyro fries are a waste of money! The burgers... Yet again! Were tasting gross. Same taste as I remembered when I ate it last. Im not sure whats going or how they are cooking the meat, but it's gross! My wife didnt eat heres and neither did I. The shake wasn't gross, but it wasn't good. Super super super sweet! Took 3 sips and I couldn't anymore. 30$ plus went to waste again. I tried giving this place a chance since the current owner is truly polite and is trying hard to make Wally Burgera great place to eat again, but I won't be returning for the time being! Thank you read more

Calling all Foodies! I've found a hidden gem. I stopped in to Wally Burger today to grab a quick bite, and boy was I ever surprised. Cheese Burger on four grilled Kings Hawaiian rolls. Yes!!!! The burger was cooked perfectly, Onion Rings were just like I remember them from when I was a kid. The reason I say that is because I haven't had decent Onion Rings in FOREVER. Folks I'm telling you the food is worth the time to go out of your way to go here. And for the kids or the sweet eater they even have fried candy bars and Twinkies. The service was great, the cashier come over to ask if there was anything I needed and asked how the food was. Nothing I like more than supporting local businesses, especially when they are on point. Thanks Wally Burger!!! read more

The owner is nice but the Restaurant was very dirty the floor & chairs were filthy. The food was way below average. A big disappointment.

Great super hero theme. Burger and fries are amazing and unique. Staff was friendly and knowledgeable for our first time coming here and explaining the whole menu. I highly recommend this locally owned business! read more

Feel lucky to find this place...burgers and hotdogs are on the Hawaiian sweet rolls and slightly toasted. :) It's kind of hidden off the road, so you need to drive back into the plaza. Friendly staff and pretty fast service. Try the parmesan sandwich and vanilla milk shake...YUM! read more

Love it! Good fried food and juicy fresh burger! They let us pick what marvel movies we wanted to watch.

Nothing better than an old school burger with a killer shake love this place. I love having them close by

My family and I love coming here. Super friendly and amazing food. We live right around the corner, so my 2 year old son and I walk there! Totally worth it everytime read more

Omg I can't say enough about this place. I had never eaten there before until today. I didn't want to cook and I wanted to try and find a new locally owned favorite for my family. Well I found it. I normally don't see the hype with Hawaiian rolls, but they are perfect with these burgers! The rolls are toasted and don't get soggy or feel too bread-y. I normally don't like onions as a texture thing, but these are so thin that I really enjoyed them. I got the ultimate Wally burger and asked for it extra well done. I like a well done burger that is crispy outside and this did not disappoint! I took my order to go and when I got home my fries were still hot and crispy. The onion rings are probably the best I've ever tasted and I don't usually care for onion rings. My picky children got burgers and chicken strips and they ate it all! I loved seeing the family working in the restaurant, and seeing the owner being hands on. I was also surprised with how fast I got my food considering it seemed pretty busy in there! I conveniently placed my order online and by the time I drove there, it was ready! About 15 minutes total. We will be back! read more

Our burgers and gyros were delicious!!! Everything was still hot and prepared nicely. Gyro meat was thicker than I'm use to but was so yummy! Asked for extra tzatziki sauce and received plenty on the side. Burgers are on an amazing Hawaiian type sweet roll buns, YUM! THANK YOU WALLY BURGER! We will be ordering delivery again soon!!!!! read more

We've always passed by this place when going to Target but thought we'd try it out. I got a gyro because I can never pass them up and it was delicious, plenty of meat and all the usual gyro trimmings included like tzatziki sauce, tomato and onion. Hubby and son got burgers and they seemed to be impressed by them compared to most places. Fries were excellent and plentiful. Employees working at the time were attentive, pleasant and checked with us while we were eating to see how things were. Will definitely go there again when it's lunchtime and in the area! :) read more
