My family has been going to Wall's since the 90's at the former methuen Location. I have tried in my teenage hears to slide by going to drive through oil change places and it has ended horribly. I trust the service department here 100%. There is always a family member on hand... I even got a ride from Mr. Wall and his lovely wife once when my car was being serviced. They have rental cars available for warranty or non warranty work (or just for fun). John Wall "Jr" has a knack for keeping me in the best used cars. Other wonderful staff include two men named James, Stan, Dagmar in the office and great cashiers. Derek in service is the hidden jewel of the dealership - knows more about cars than anyone I have ever met . Love the new location! read more

This is a true story. In my 86 years, I have bought about 35 automobiles. But I have never been so badly mistreated as I was in dealing with Wall's Ford. I traded in a very nice, low mileage, Buick Rivera. They told me that it was only worth $800, for junk. The car I bought was a 2005 Ford.500. I was told it was $7,000. I drove the car home and looked it up on the Internet. I found that the car I traded in was worth $2475, a lot more than the junk prices, they offered me.The Ford 500 that I bought, the peak price was only $4,000.. I called the salesman and told him I was returning the car the next day. It was a bad deal., I was cheated out of $1675 in my trade and the price of the car was inflated beyond $3000 above the fair price of the car. There was a gap of $4,675 between what they wre asking and the fair deal.. They offered to cut the ptice of the car by doing away with something called, "wheel insurance" by $1000 At 5 PM, both the salesman and the sales manager, suprisingly showed up at my door.. They said it was too late, the insurance papers were all changed and the car was all ready registered to me. Now I have had a stroke and talking is rather difficult for me. I still didn't think I was fairly treated. I brought the car back the next day to no avail. .Apparently, I was stuck with the car. I asked the salesman what was the noise coming from the back of the car. He said all models of the Ford 500 have that noise. I then took it to a local car repair shop. For $60 they gave it a full inspection and said the whole rear end was loose and it was unsafe. I then took their report and showed it to the salesman and reluctantly Wall's did fix the problem. I then had to bring the car back a third time since it did not have an insoection sticker. I have put on 1200 miles since I bought the car. One of the rear tires was going flat. I went to a gas station and told them the tire had a leak. They showed me that both the rear tires were full of cracks because of age and should be replaced. I replaced them for $275.. But then when I looked at my contract with Walls, it said the tires were inspected as found like being like new. I don't beieve that I was singled out to get a rotten deal. Eveyone that deals with Wall's should watch what kind of deal you're making..Or like me, it will cost you a lot of money. .Bob Folsom read more

Poor experience there. The salesman seemed disinterested and bored. As a younger couple trying to make a first upgraded car purchase you could tell he thought we were wasting his time. He had almost no information about us then went back and talked to another sales man in an office. Then he returned with a price that was basically full asking and when we said it was too high and a new version was not that much more somewhere else he said then go get it there and laughed at us as he walked away. I left feeling disrespected. I understand if you don't want to come down or make a deal but I shouldn't leave feeling like I wasn't good enough for your time. That was one salesman but I definitely won't be going back or recommending them to family and friends. read more

I bought a new car at Wall's Ford in Salisbury last week, and that will be the last time I ever set foot in that dealership; here is why. I traded in my Ford SUV to buy a 2013 Ford Fusion SE model with a sunroof and cloth seats. Wall's had trouble locating exactly what I wanted and presented me with a few different options, one being to swap models with a dealer in Maine. The only difference between what I wanted and what was in Maine was that model had a $600 more expensive paint job than I wanted to pay for. I left the dealership that night with my father after telling the manager I wanted to think on it. He assured me they would never swap cars with another dealer without knowing that I wanted it 100%. The next morning I received a phone call from Wall's declaring that they had went ahead and swapped cars and "the model I wanted was ready for my pickup." Ticked off that I hadn't asked for that car, or agreed to pay the extra $600 for the paint job, I voiced my concerns. Wall's accused me of saying I wanted the car and thought their decision to swap cars was what I wanted. My father being a witness, fought with me. After Wall's refused to discount the full $600, I ended up saying screw it, I was out of time and I was annoyed with how difficult Wall's had made my experience, so I agreed to pay $200 more for the car than I wanted. I realize I didn't have to, but like I said, I had lost patience, and needed a car, so I gave in. I picked my car up Wednesday night and drove home. Thursday afternoon I went outside on my lunch break to jot down my temp plate number and noticed 2 Wall's Ford promo stickers on my bumper, and decided to take them off. Under one of them was a size able dent and a paint chip. Enraged at the dishonesty and attempted cover up, I went straight back to the dealership, stickers in hand. I asked to speak to Jim, the saddest excuse for a manager I've ever met, and explained my problem. He immediately blamed the situation on me, was so rude and demeaning that he's lucky my father wasn't there. He accused me of peeling the paint off my car with the sticker, and when I asked him if he thought I was stupid, his response was that he "has peeled the paint off his car before with a sticker." Really Jim? As an automobile professional, this man looked me dead in the eye and said a promo sticker peeled the paint off my brand new car. Someone at Wall's saw the dent, probably approached Jim about it, and he likely told them to cover it up. Either way someone knew it was there and instead of being honest with me, and fixing it, they covered it up on a prayer that I wouldn't notice. I demanded the dent and chip to be fixed, and Jim continued to be rude and unhelpful, slamming things around in his office and told me this was "a pain" for him to get me an appointment at the auto body. I refused to stick around while Jim through a temper tantrum so I headed back to work and told him to call me in an hour with an appointment, to which he agreed. I heard nothing from him 3.5 hours later, so I called back to see what the deal was, to which he said, "Cortney, I don't know your schedule by heart." Jim had done NOTHING to fix the issue in 3.5 hours, obviously had zero intention to do anything, and was extremely rude, once again. I showed up the next morning first thing and demanded an appointment at an auto body to fix the cover up at Wall's expense. Oddly enough, Jim wasn't there and I was helped by more competent employees. Never once did Jim apologize or offer to appease the situation. He only made it more frustrating for me with his rude comments, lack of respect, and total lack of customer service skills. I still wonder how someone like him is employed as a "Manager" - hopefully Wall's cares about their sour reviews and takes a look at who they employ. My car is now fixed and I have not had any further issues, but I would NOT recommend Wall's Ford to my family, my friends, or my coworkers, and everyone who has seen the aggravation this has caused me will certainly not return there. I will point out that Frank, the salesman that helped me through this process, went above and beyond and was very pleasant to work with. If you do decide to take a risk and go to Wall's, ask for Frank, and hopefully Jimbo will have the day off. Wall's has most definitely lost me as a lifetime customer due to their lack of honesty, unprofessionalism, rude comments, and terrible customer service. Ford Motor Company and the Better Business Bureau will be hearing from me about this as well. read more

After a very disappointing visit with another local Ford dealership, I went to Walls. I could not have been treated any better! I already knew what I wanted for a vehicle and what options that I would like. I wanted to talk numbers. They did just that. They were very straight forward and did not play ANY games. They worked with me to get payments where I wanted, they gave me a VERY fair trade allowance. I would have no problem recommending this dealership to any one and I will!!!! My salesperson, James could not have not been more helpful and the finance rep, Heather was awesome!!! Just bought a Ford Explorer Sport Trac XLT from Walls Ford. The experience was fantastic. They even let me take the truck overnight so our mechanic could check it out. Walls Ford made the requested repairs and they show you a detailed report of what they've done to the vehicle before it even goes on the lot. Terrific experience and I highly recommend them. I wish I never purchased a new Ford Edge at Wall's Ford. I've learned my lesson. The sensors constantly break and then it costs hundreds of dollars to replace. When the first of many sensors broke (door, shift to park, tailgate lift) we brought it to the service department. It was fixed. Fine. Two years later the SAME sensors are malfunctioning which is a safety issue with two children. The service manager did not return my husband's calls when we brought it in to get fixed. When we picked up the car, the service manager was there and very rude to us. He said he just got there and his service friend said, "Yeah and he is leaving." I've NEVER been treated so poorly. Our family has been Ford buyers and never again will we purchase at Wall's Ford. They actually told us there was nothing wrong with our car and when we got home the sensors went crazy again. The service manager even argued with us when we told him we didn't bring in the car sooner because it was hard having two children under 6. He seriously argued with us about it. DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME HERE. Go to another dealership. read more

I had a major issue with Wall's regarding a 1998 Ford Mustang originally the problem was that my engine block was beyond repair and needed to be replaced then told them to get me the best block they could brand new and to charge accordingly was told that for block and clutch it would be 9,000 well that would have been fine except the block that was installed was reconditioned not new which i learned after looking over the paperwork a few weeks later then called and spoke with John Wall Jr. who assured me that all invoice's say reconditioned. I then called another ford dealer to ask if that was true and they said no new would say new not reconditioned as my instinct told me I had decided not to complain since my wife's stepfathers family owns Wall's and it was running OK until 8400 miles after that the block they put in blew a hole right in the side and unrepairable again now need a block again and have gone out of state with the car to live so I guess if they would do such a hack on a ford vehicle that belonged to his wife son in law what would they do to you? read more

Deceptive Service Practices - brought my 3 yr old car in for a factory recall on the transmission. two days after getting it back the the car wouldn't start and flashed a "transmission failure" message. They told me it was a bad connect or the alternator and charged me over $500. Stay away for these crooks. read more

The actual sales experience was okay, it took 2.5 hrs, with the typical back and forth but we came to an amicable agreemt on trade-in and purchase price. Then came the issues, they did do a nice job of a spit and polish on the truck before delivery, they did not however fix the battery terminal that was badly corroded or balance the wheels (from what I could tell), I should have checked before taking delivery. I requested a replacement battery terminal to do it myself, and nothing has been sent to me in two weeks. Also I found the slide-in bed had been installed without moving the side hooks, so theere were bulges in the side of the bed liner that should have been recitified (could have been previous owner, but still a short coming on the side of their aftersales preparation of vehicle). I Suggest anyone making a purchase make detailed notes of what is to be fixed before acepting the vehicle and hold them to it. I take responsibility for not checking before the accepting the vehicle, but this still shows poor performance on the part of Walls Ford and the poor foolw up on part of the sales department. read more

I cannot say enough good things about Wall's Ford in Salisbury MA. We had purchased a 2015 Ford Edge in Florida in May. There was a recall on the vehicle and long and short of the story is Wall's repaired the vehicle under the recall. It was a lengthy process (due to no fault of Wall's) and we decided to accept an offer from Ford to buy the vehicle back from us and allow us to buy a new vehicle...which we did. They handled the whole 2 week deal, even though we didn't buy the original vehicle from them and they held the new vehicle we wanted until the process could be completed. They made multiple phone calls, kept us informed and we left with a new vehicle which was in the long run a better deal for us. Their customer service is second to none. I will forever be a Wall's customer and Ford for standing behind their product. My experience at Wall's was probably the best auto buying experience I have ever had. And I have purchased t least 15 cars in my life. Specifically, the sales rep, James Mullen, was exceptional. He really listened to what I wanted and worked hard to make it happen. The whole time, I never felt like I was being "sold" on something I didn't want. No bait and switch. Just straightforward, honest service. James made me feel welcome, yes, but he went far beyond that and gained my trust with his honest, upfront approach. In the end, it was a pleasant experience and FUN. James made the car buying experience fun. Highly recommended. Dealing with this service department was a nightmare. My 2008 Lincoln MKZ check engine light went on and I was told by the manager that these things are like light bulbs. Sometimes they work and sometimes they don't. After my diagnostic, the service manager actually smirked when he told me it was going to cost thousands. He did not tell me that I was going to have to spend another $1100 on diagnostics and would probably need a new engine. I was informed the next day by the Lincoln customer service. This was an expensive car with only 70,000 miles and I had a dead engine. Well those engines are like light bulbs, but very expensive ones. I bought a Nissan. Hopefully I will get more than 70,000 miles. read more

I will never step foot in this dealership again! I have bought 2 new cars from this dealership of the past few years, but the general manager Jim is rude and unprofessional. I tried to buy a brand new Escape, but the car I wanted had to be ordered. After waiting 8 weeks (typical waiting period for a new car), I went to pick it up and was told the actual price was $140 more than agreed upon price. I asked to speak with someone about it and Jim came into the office and argued with me. He rudely slapped the bill of sale down on the desk and then a copy of the invoice. I explained to him that the price I agreed to was $140 lower and I would "walk away" because of it. He said "I wish you would". Shocked, I asked him to repeat himself and he said "I wish you would walk away". Obviously, I ran out of there as fast as I could. Never again! read more

After receiving a recall on my 2002 Ford Winstar in November for rear axil rusting and breaking, I called the Walls Ford and was told it would take a couple of months as they were waiting for parts and as soon as parts come in they were calling the recalls in for repairs,and said there was 6 people ahead of me. Well needless to say the axil cracked 3 weeks latter, I call the Walls Ford again and was told they were still waiting for parts, Being that was my only vehicle and could not afford to get a new one I got my Nephew to weld it and put some brackets on it to firm it up, well now I could drive the car but for safety stayed off the highway, Well needles to say the other side broke in March, I called Walls Ford and they said it would be a couple of months as there were 6 people ahead of me, I said that is what you told me back in November, he said they are not getting the parts in, after I got off the phone I decided to call the Ford dealer in Haverhill (its about 20 miles away) He said get us the Winstar so they can check it out, I had it towed to them at 11 am, I got a call back from him at 4pm said it was fixed, with a new axil installed, and there was another recall for something in the front end and they fixed it too. To me it seamed that walls ford had no intentions of fixing the vehicles with a recall, figuring you would have to buy a new one, Well I will never buy from them also I would warn anyone not to buy from them either , they are out to rip off the consumer, not get them in safe vehicles to drive. read more

My experience is right on track with the many other negative customer reviews. Rude and incompetent employees paired with a total lack of communication make for a frustrating experience. I brought my vehicle in to get an issue that it was having fixed, they kept it for 3 days without calling me once. When I called to find out what was going I was bounced around to multiple different reps and no one could tell me anything. I finally stopped by after work on the 3rd day to see my vehicle outside with the engine running, again no one could tell me what was wrong but they did finally admit that they couldn't fix it. They would not release my vehicle until I paid the almost $200 fee even though they didn't fix anything. The worst part? I got the vehicle home and it wouldn't start the next day, and Walls denied any responsibility even though they were doing "diagnostic" work on it all week. So to summarize, they kept my vehicle for too long, refused to communicate with me, were incapable of fixing it, charged me for nothing, and killed my battery all in one visit. I have never dealt with a business that treats customers this poorly in my entire life, reading customer reviews proves this, the "owners" responses to all the negative reviews on various sites should tell you all you need to know. Nothing is their fault and they refuse to take responsibility for their own failures. Clearly the do not value their customers, I look forward to their condescending response! read more
