Walley's performed a full replacement on an aged outdoor package unit (combo AC and Propane Heat system) at our home in southern NH. I garnered a handful of quotes from competing providers during the process. With Walley's I cut to the chase they understood exactly what I wanted to do with the project. I don't like leaving bad review but this whole interaction turned out to be a nightmare. I wanted so badly to give this company a good review. If I had written this the day or day after the installation work was complete I probably would have given them 5 starts, but after all the issues we have had since then I can't in good conscious give them anything other than a 1. After getting bids and recommendations from several companies in the area we selected Walley's as the company to preform the install of the three wall mount unit mini-splits in our home. The Walley's rep we worked with was the most engaging and educational and their company had great reviews. Even though they were not the cheapest company we spoke with, we were excited to work with them and more than willing to pay extra for the peace of mind that the job would be completed to their high standards. During the installation Walley's technicians installed the gravity drain incorrectly on one unit, hit the retaining wall in our driveway with their truck upon returning back from a 2 hour lunch, and left debris from the install in our back yard. Had the drain been installed correctly the first time we would have been willing to over look the other issues as accidents happen. Prior to the install of the specific drain that leaked a conversation on whether a gravity drain would work in the location was had. We informed Walley's that if a gravity drain wouldn't work in the request location we could move the unit to an exterior wall as it was our preference not to deal with a condensation pump. Walley's assured us that the location would support a gravity drain. However, the initial technicians did not take care to install the drain correctly. This resulted in wall, floor, and trim damage to the room. The unit that failed was over a closet which caused every item of clothing to be removed and washed, as well as several items to be thrown away due to mold. We then waited two days for someone to come fix the unit. The evening we informed Walley's of the issue they assured us that someone would be out the next day between 12-5pm to fix the unit. 6pm came and the tech arrived, identified the issue but was unable to repair it. Because it was so late we were then promised a specific tech with the skills to fix the issue would arrive the next day. When the next day arrived we were then told they would be coming that day but would be coming the next day. It took three days from notification for Walley's to fix the issue. To fix the damage to our room Walley's had to open a claim with their insurance. Once the claim was approved they informed us they would be sending a sub-contractor out to fix the damage. Several calls and texts were made as we were not comfortable having the work done by a contractor with out references or a website. The CFO of Walley's assured us that this contractor does work for them all the time and there would be no issues. The contractor came to the fix the damage and provided extremely sub standard work. Irregularly spaced and loose floor boards, they used blemished boards, completed sloppy paint job, only did one coat of paint, left nail holes in the trim, didn't caulk the trim or remove old caulk, missed repair and paint spots, completed sloppy dry wall work and left debris including nails in our backyard. Upon voicing our extreme dissatisfaction with the contractor's work we requested Walley's provide us with the funds to cover having the job done again. Walley's countered with $250. The whole times this is going on we have been unable to sleep in our bedroom, use our closet and have missed multiple hours worth of work from our jobs due to scheduling to be home for people to fix things. This has been such a defeating process. While I'm sure other people have had good experiences with Walley's and we have even had good interactions with specific individuals, I cannot recommend this company as whole. Some areas of feedback: Communication to clients needs improving- more often than not we were ones calling for updates after being told someone would reach out. We told them not to have the subcontractor come back- he arrived the next morning. We were told by the office that someone would be coming to look at the damage and when we spoke to the individual that was supposed to be coming he had no idea. Should reconsider their relationship with this particular contractor as he either lacks the skill to complete the job or the care to do a good job. Technician skill- if the job had been done correctly in the first place we wouldn't be in the mess we are in today. If the tech that came out the day after us notifying them could have fixed the issues we would have had our AC back sooner read more

My circulator pump went for the main zone of my house. I put in a request for service and an estimate on their website, and was promptly called the next day at 8:45 AM. I received a reasonable quote within the hour and they had a service technician at my house by 3 PM that same day. Service technician was friendly, and got the work done expeditiously. I am so sick and tired of getting taken by the big name plumbing outfits that advertise heavy on TV. Walleys will definitely get all my plumbing business going forward. Highly recommended. read more

Based on the ac system alone, maybe 2-3 stars. It cools, sort of. For $20k I'd say that's the bare minimum. However, they are in no way qualified to install anything with ducting. They miscalculated and used the wrong size (bigger isn't always better when it comes to HVAC) duct for our upstairs. When they realized the system was over cooling the first 2 legs of duct work, undercooling the second 2, and providing ZERO cooling to the third they had to come, rip it all out and reinstall, but left a mess and some massively oversized holes. 2 months in and the system is providing "air" to the house, but not really in any way controlling the temps (program 70, and get anywhere from 64 - 76, our old "dumb" thermostat was better). 3 more service visits and 6 months later they finally got a Daikin (manufacturer) rep onsite who said they did the install wrong - and it would be 2 more months before a Daikin engineer could come out and fix it because ALL THE PROGRAMMING IN THE THERMOSTAT IS LOCKED DOWN AND PROPRIETARY, AND DAIKIN DOES NOT SHARE WITH THEIR INSTALLERS HOW TO MAKE ANY BUT THE MOST BASIC MODIFICATIONS. 11 months later Daikin had an engineer come out with Wally's A-team and another contractor from a completely different outfit, who seemed at least a little informed with how Daikin systems should be installed ("Randall" from TCC), and the 3-some managed to get acceptable performance (program 70, get 68-72). Do with this information what you will, you've been warned. And FYI, the basic wall-mount mini-splits that they installed on our other floor - I installed 2 more myself for 1/5 their cost, and I honestly can't be any worse than them. At least I know if I installed it I can be there to trouble shoot in hours, not weeks. But hey, now I can add "HVAC install" to my list of skills. read more

Walley's came up in a search as one of the top plumbers in the area. Before calling I checked to see if they serviced Chester. Called to make an appointment for an estimate which I was told they would call back. They called back quickly, telling me that this company doesn't serve Chester. My response was to let them know that Chester is on the list on their website and that that I was unhappy with their false advertising. Disappointing. read more

OK, so far a mixed bag with these folks. They were recommended by Midea, who manufactured my split-system A/C - it needs a condensate pump, which is not atypical for these units. The first appoint was smooth; from then on, not so great. I am also interested in updating another split in our house (from 1988! - still works, but...) - well, suddenly the focus shifted to installing that NEW unit. Wrong - why would I have you install another A/C in my house when you can't fix the first one? Which was one of several messages back to them; finally got the service manager on a call, who said he spoke to the Manufacturer, it was very confusing, etc., etc., but they'll get the part on order. Latest was a call from them - for something - but if you don't take an immediate call, the apparently DON'T have call waiting, you go into their call service. These guys are either a) very small or b) very busy. If we don't straighten this out by September (which will be one month), I will go back to the manufacturer (funny, they're VERY straightforward with me) and find someone else. One would think a parts diagram would be a good start - but it's clear these folks have NEVER fixed a Midea unit. Not sure I would recommend them as my experience has been middling and there are plenty of other competitors. read more

Himself and 2 others were unable to diagnose a simple check valve that had fallen off an expansion/blowdown tank! Had to hire Denron Hall to fix it properly. Didn't stop Wally from charging me though! and telling us we are blowing down the boiler incorrectly! OMG Wally, just take my money, buy a tank of gas for the boat and float off! We had our water heater replaced yesterday by another wonderful plumber named Rick( short for Richard) who was very caring about apparently a sediment problem that came up after the new water heater was installed and he came back and made sure everything was running perfectly. Walley showed up on time, greeted me well, and was ready to tackle the job. He was very informative and explained ALL of my options, not just the most expensive ones. I called Walley and they scheduled a service tech to come to my house ASAP and fix the problem. Christian and Spencer are awesome! Back in 2013 I had an HTP Superstor Indirect installed by Walley to replace an inefficient tankless coil. Walley's quote was competitive and included a high quality circulator, larger diameter piping from the boiler, a cold start HydraLevel module, and new expansion tank. The other guys were more expensive and were planning to do a "good enough" install with far less upgrades. read more

Their customer service was informative and courteous. Wally was good at responding to emails. However, their quotes were significantly higher than other HVAC places. On two separate quotes for various jobs, one was 1k more and another quote was 3x as much (and this particular job took 45 minutes to complete by the company I went with rather than a half day as Wally had predicted). Since I ultimately went with another company, I can't say how good their work is, but would recommend getting a couple of quotes from different companies before proceeding. read more
