First off the young man that came over was very polite. I was told 90$ service fee and 110$ a hour. One hour later he comes in my house and said I would hate to charge you more than 210$ but I'm not sure what is wrong with your ace unit, but it is 25 years old and you should change it out. He left my air still didn't work no answers to problem paid 210$. My boyfriend called upset the co sent him back he stayed on the phone with someone more seasoned tinked around and got it working. He emailed me some replacement part options and set me up with a system estimate from Steve to come out. After all of that I didn't feel confident with continuing service with them. I called to cancel and Steve happened to answer he stayed on the phone wrangling with me! NOT PROFESSIONAL AT All. I had another company come out they were pleasant and thorough. I did not have to argue over explain myself or be made to feel bad for trying to fix my system old or not! I should never have to have a man get involved and make a company come back a second time to tell me what's wrong isn't that what the 210$ was initially for. The team is very prompt in reverting back and responding but the key issue is, they lack expertise and knowledge when it comes to installing a tankless water heater. I was given a quote of ~5K for the installation of a tankless water heater with the unit ( Navien NPE 240A2) that connected my existing 1/2-inch gas supply line. The tankless water heater's take in more gas supply as it has a higher BTU and needed to heat the water much faster, so the required input was 3/4 inch based on spec of the heater. Clearly the team at Masi had no idea, though they claim they installed many such heaters. Also, there was no mention of how to get the re-circulation going. There is a smart way to do so by using the re-circ valve installed that uses the cold water line as a re-circ line,,,, but the team at Masi had no idea. I finally got the installation done for $1700 ( unit cost for navien was separate.) I feel, these guys are out there with premium quotes without necessaruly having the required knowledge to do the job. So if the customer is not knowledgeable on the installation, they could get a incorrect installation done inspite of paying top dollar. read more

I highly recommend Masi plumbing. We've used them for service several times of the last several years, and recently hired them to do an entire combo/tankless system. It was a big project, but this crew did an incredible job. They showed up exactly when they said they would and they worked for two whole days, barely having to even bother us with questions. When I say the work they did was impeccable, I mean it. The system is gorgeous and the work they put into it was top notch. They gave us a complete overview of the system (even though they finished after 6pm on a Friday night) and answered all of our questions. Not only that, but they left the area spotless. I had a whole house generator installed last fall. They just put my outdoor airconditioning unit back on after needed landscape changes. They painted pipes that the builder failed to paint and made sure a vent cap was on correctly. I had a tankless waterheater cleaned also. The men know exactly what needs to be done. We had central air and a gas fireplace install done. MASI was great. The estimate was true. All work was done in a professional manner. We did have to have them enter our home in the fall of 2020 when things were so uncertain. They were very respectful of our space. This winter we loved the gas fireplace. I recently moved into a house that had several plumbing issues. Masi seemed very professional up front. I supplied a list of issues and photos of the faucet/drains which needed repairs. When the repair person came out he was not able to fix my main problem which was a constant dripping from a tub faucet. He said that they don't normally like to work on Glacier Bay because they are low quality. I told him that I needed to have it fixed. He was not prepared to do that I asked him to provide an estimate for the work so that they could come back out and do it. They never supplied an estimate. Masi Plumbing came out when we first purchased our home in December 2023 to check on our water softener system, provide guidance on how to use, maintain, & check it as we moved from an urban city to NH with well water. The first time they came out, they told us to just make sure the salt is filled above the water line in the softener tank & that we need to prepare to replace the sediment filter in April 2024 as it needs to be replaced once a year. After two weeks, we noticed the water was still really hard, our animals were sick, & my child was getting rashes all over their skin, etc. Two more plumbers from Masi came out to replace a valve on the water softener & then alledgly took water to test for us. It took nearly four months for the results of the water to come back. The results said nothing about any existing arsenic or PFAs, of which were on a previous lab result report from the previous owner of our home. We felt like something was off so we instead got two more companies from the state (state approved plumbers) to come out. Not only was Masi exceptionally wrong on all their judgement calls & alleged test results, NHTaps water results were faster, more comprehensive & more accurate than Masi's. They were stamped from a lab & came back with details re: existing above compliant levels of arsenic, PFAs & other heavy metals. Masi's recommendations said nothing about such chemicals & toxins, but instead mentioned we replace the water softener, although never mentioned said water softener was broken. NH Tap said the water softener, immediately upon coming out to check into our issues, was broken. So right there we paid two "professionals" $309 to replace a valve in a water softener system that was broken. How did you guys miss that? Aren't you the experts? People should be able to trust your judgement calls. Secondly, NH Tap recommend, in addition to a new water softener system, to install additional filtration for sediment, PFAs, arsenic, & more. Masi said nothing about PFAs filtration, sediment filtration, or arsenic. Also, the sediment filter that Masi originally told us needed to be replaced once a year actually needs to be replaced every 3 months!!!! The sediment filter was soooo black, covered in mold & built up sediment. Just all around a truly horrible, ignorant, bad experience with Masi from start to finish. We will never recommend them nor use them ever again. We have a baby in our home for gods sake. If you're in NH, do yourself & your wallets a favor & go with an *approved plumber* from the state of NH. you can also save money through their rebate program. NH Tap was wonderful & now we can literally drink from our faucets. Masi, do better! This is a big mess up, & I imagine these type of issues are a factor as to why you aren't an approved plumbing company with the state... YIKES read more

My furnace let go on Friday. Bob from Masi came out for initial troubleshooting. Doug from Masi needed to come out for additional diagnosing. Unfortunately, I needed a new furnace. It was ordered first thing Saturday morning and was installed on Monday by Tim. These guys are very professional. They did the job quickly and explained everything to me. When the job was complete, they cleaned up everything - never knew they were there. I would recommend them 100% to anyone who needs plumbing/heating work. read more

It was 3° and our furnace was working intermittently. We called MASI to come and look at the furnace for a repair. Their technician said we needed a heat exchanger and red tagged the furnace. Red tag means you cannot use the furnace. He said the heat exchanger would take 5 days to get the part. He quoted $800 for the part. We called a local wholesaler the next day who said they the part in Nashua. We called Card heating and they came the same e day and replaced the control board. Card repaired the furnace for about $200 which included parts and labor. We filed a complaint with the NH fire marshal. read more

I had a Heat Pump with all the bells and whistles installed by MASI Nashua a couple years ago. Not impressed with the customer service. The manager is extremely rude. When I brought in a UV air purification assembly which had failed prematurely it was obvious that he was upset that I was so cheap as to troubleshoot the thing myself and bring it in (it's basically a light). Made me wait 20 minutes because only he could talk to me, then when he finally did appear, glowered at me and told me he wouldn't even look at it without me bringing in the charger. I have now brought everything in. They have verified that the unit was indeed bad (which they could have done without me going back for my charger) but they couldn't possibly just give me another one without sending the bad unit in to the manufacturer and waiting until a credit was issued by the company. I've so far been waiting a month. Considering that I spent $6800 with MASI in installing a heat pump - part of which was the UV light for which they charged about double the retail price - I'd have hoped that they could be a bit more accommodating with getting me a replacement unit. read more

Major renovation, replacing all of the plumbing, bathrooms as well as 80% of the walls and ceilings and flooring. From start to finish, Masi made mistakes. (1) baseboards pipes not installed properly. The result is that the pipes are clearly visible below the registers. They waited for me to complain to fix the problem. Sheetrock had to be patched, repainted and even some hardwood flooring had to be patched. Worse still, they claimed that nothing could be done about the less visible registers. (5) they never turned the water on after installing the new heating registers causing my boiler to fault because of low water. It is only by chance that this was discovered as no one was living in the house during this massive renovation. (2) below grade effluent pump caused septic to vent into the master bathroom and created a vacuum that drained the master bathroom toilet. Three visits by their certified plumbers to prove that the toilet wasn't blocked before they accepted that they hadn't designed the system correctly. They came up with a solution that involved cutting holes in the brand new ceiling in the lower level to add more pipes and traps. (3) wired for three thermostats but only installed two. I discovered this when I went to set the heat in the lower level and couldn't find a thermostat. They did come back right away to install a thermostat but now it's more holes in the walls that have to be patched and they connected the thermostats to the wrong heating zones. Another appointment to fix that. (4) plumbers are a mixed bag ... some are personable and others are rude. They act as if they are doing you a favor by fixing their mistakes. (6) read more

I had an old furnace that went down during a multi-day single digit cold spell; the kind where getting a heating contractor in short oder is impossible. The phone message I left late the evening before was answered first thing the following day and I was advised that they were swamped but would get to me ASAP. Service arrived a day later which was difficult on the household but well within a reasonable turnaround under the circumstances of the frigid temps. When their plumber arrived he listened to every detail I had to tell him about what I had observed and then rolled up his sleeves for the next two hours to bring my old furnace back online. Overall I was happy with the job done. Honestly, parts are expensive off the truck but the labor charges and service call charge was within the range I exoected to pay. I guess the most poignant testamony I can give is that any additional work I need in the future I would call Masi Plumbing and Heating as my primary contractor. read more

Natural gas became available on my road so had MASI come out last June and replace my oil boiler with a new Navien wall hung combi unit to heat my 3 bedroom split. Quick and professional. Finding a shop that caters to the pros but is willing to help someone like me get the right materials and information to correctly complete a plumbing job is invaluable. Masi is such a shop. They have pro level supplies at reasonable prices and Bobby and the rest of the staff are always willing to answer any questions and explain the steps needed to finish my plumbing DIY. Great company! Masi's team of professionals has always been available to me when I call and I have always received same day service when needed. They service all of our plumbing and heating/cooling needs! Their service team is excellent....professional, efficicient and honest! They have never tried to sell us something we didn't really need. They replaced our AC when it was clear it could no longer be repaired. They scheduled an appointment and were here when they said they would be. They gave us an estimate for the job and stuck to it!
