Very cool bar with probably over 100 scotch and whiskey options. My only gripes are that 1) they have no ryes at all on the menu. And 2) they also have a lot of bottles behind the bar that aren't listed at all on the menu, forcing you to have to ask for them and awkwardly, the price point so they don't charge you whatever you feel like when the bill comes. Came here with friends for some whiskey and shots. The bottom floor was packed with people so we were brought upstairs which was pretty empty. One of the whiskeys we ordered had little bits of cork(?) in the drink. Forgot which one it was but pretty sure it shouldn't have pieces of things floating around. After that, we all got a shot of Jameson and a Glenfiddich 12 to sip on. This bar was very dark and the music was very loud. It was hard to hear people talk sometimes. We stumbled on this bar/music venue/restaurant. What an awesome place! Great service, really good drinks, the 80's band that was playing so good! The acoustics were great! People were drinking and dancing and the cocktails kept coming. Great staff, fun people, lots of clean bathrooms. Incredible atmosphere, the building itself is beautiful and upscale. They will even bring out a calculator to show you how much you are expected to tip... Tipping by DEFINITION is optional. Very annoying. I stopped in the bar a couple nights while visiting the Condesa area. The bouncer was nice enough after the typical Mexico City pat-down, and the place has a large selection of drinks. The ambience is decent enough, as long as you come in a group and are looking to sit down, this wasn't much a place to meet new people in my experience. The reason I have to give this bar two stars however, is the bartenders. On 3 occasions, with two different people, I had bartenders take my cash and not give me any change back, to the tune of pocketing a 25-50% tip for themselves. I don't know the customs in the country that well, but this never happened to me at any of the other bars I went to in the city. It's a shame read more

This place is OK. It's basically dark, loud, and filled with a bunch of dudes. We went on a Sunday night after arriving in CDMX and wanted to get a drink. Their cocktail menu is basic, and their Mezcal selection is OK. They don't speak a ton of English and their mixed drinks were fairly weak on the alcohol front. We ended up ordering extra shots of the liquor in our drinks to split amongst ourselves to make them stronger. There were some comfortable seating areas, and it's worth a stop, but not a highlight. read more

Do not accept the red solo cups they give you to take your drink "to go"! Actually just do not come here! Last night we were having a good time and the place was closing so the waiter brought out red solo cups for us to take our drinks. I thought wow how nice of them. WRONG! As soon as we got up from our table and the restaurant started closing our group was surrounded by SSC police stating that it is illegal to drink in public in Mexico and that we would be going to jail for 72 hours and have to pay a 6,000 peso fine. Then the officer asked how much money I had and was like well that's not going to be enough. If you want to take care of this now and not go to jail you need to give me 2,000 pesos. I am a big fan of whiskey, so when I learned that there was a whiskey bar in Mexico City, I added it to my must-do list. We planned on hanging out here after dinner for at least a couple drinks to try out the different whiskeys and concoctions. We got here at 8 on a Thursday and it was completely packed. There were absolutely no seats available on both levels. We waited a bit and found a couple stools on a little side bar. A server took half our drink order, disappeared, then we had to flag him down to get the rest. When I ordered an Old Fashioned, which is on the menu, the server had no idea what I was talking about... at a whiskey bar. The drinks took forever to get to us. The drink was good with little garnishes. We struggled to get the server's attention again. Needless to say, we ended up leaving after one drink. read more

This place is great! There are two levels. There's a nice row of tables arm's length away from the bar lining the sidewalk for that cozy sidewalk feel, then there's a large area of cozy seating in the main part of the bar where they sometimes have live bands. Upstairs, there are several private rooms where groups can enjoy themselves in privacy and one of them contains a billiards table. I've met friendly people here every time and the bartenders and servers are great too. I highly recommend for anyone wanting to be sure to have a good time. This is one of my favorite go-to bars. They have a good selection of mezcal, whiskey, beer, and a decent cocktail list. The interior is really cool with booths, lounging areas upstairs, and an awesome arched room downstairs. Outside is nice as well and they have tvs which is great for football watching. Popular bar in Condesa. I went with a small group. The guy at the door was very nice and found us a table pretty quickly. Like I said, it's popular so it was very crowded both inside and on the sidewalk. That being said, it was also really loud. They have a great whiskey selection (pretty obvious) and their old fashioned was really good, although I have never had an old fashioned with sugar on the rim. Don't know if that's a Mexico thing or just this place, but I'm sure I'll find out soon. My friend got a martini that was very good as well. Pricing was more expensive, given the place and the location, but that is expected too. read more
