I cannot possibly express my gratitude for the wonderful providers I have worked with in personal counseling for myself as well as IOP and PHP for a family member. There is not a finer group of health providers anywhere in my estimation. That being said, my experience with the patient interface has been very challenging at times. It's hard to imagine how a company can provide the breadth of services they do, comply with all regulations, guard individual privacy AND remain profitable. Ideally one could get seamless care, especially when in mental health distress. The reality is that, for most of us, a state of mental health distress makes otherwise-ordinary problems much harder to navigate. I believe that, for the service they are trying to offer in a complex regulatory environment, they do a good job. As a person with learning differences, I have learned that I have to allow more time than one might think to deal with situations that can be tricky for me. Sometimes you have to stop and take a breath. Sometimes you'll need to find some patience or ask for help. How did I learn those skills? Through years of counseling and doing my best to walk the walk daily. It might not be easy to get started, but friend, I promise that investing in your mental health is worth it. These are good people who want to help. I highly recommend Connections Wellness Group.

Patients screaming and yelling and breaking things. I heard a nurse say "why won't the police take this patient?" And the other nurse replied, "the police are the ones who brought him here." They don't have programs like they used to. When I was here about 10 years ago, Dr. Colin Ross had an actual trauma program and it was amazing. Now? They tell u they have a trauma program and all these wonderful groups to help, but it is incorrect information and one of the worst experiences of my life. My doc told me if I tried to leave AMA (against medical advice), that he would hold me there even longer. There have been protests outside this facility because of the horrible conditions, program & staff. I could go on and on, but u get the picture. I apologize for not updating my review sooner. If they tell u they have a trauma program, it's basically just the same women's program. It's the same thing. Oh, and in intake it smelled like piss. It makes you genuinely fearful about what's happening behind those locked doors. My brother has Lewy Body Dementia, and I can only imagine how confusing and distressing this must be for him. UBH should remember that "behavioral health" includes the behavior of the staff too. On a scale of 1 to 10, they get a cold, hard zero. They also sometimes call to tell you your due for an appointment but then once schedule and show up for that appointment they say they were mistaken and that you were not really due yet. This happens somewhat regularly with this office. Breaking point here was that on 3 occasions they have flat out refused to see my kids on scheduled check ups because their mother wasn't present. Personally I think this was racially motivated bigotry. I'm white, my wife and step children are black. My wife does not drive because she is partially blind so most of the time I take the kids to their appointments, she is not there. Usually it's not an issue but sometimes it is. The dumbest thing about it is that the first two times we came back with her and had her fill out an authorization form for me to take the kids to their appt. We were told it would not happen again. Twice. It happened again. Twice.

This agency is responsible for my missing medication doses on an almost monthly basis. They sign up for services that they don't fully cancel so you're getting almost constant emails and automated calls that you're told to disregard. They also have two businesses so you're never quite sure if whoever is teaching out is a scammer. The onus is on the patient for almost every action and if your not an in person patient be prepared to pay an extra $300 every three months for a urinalysis. This group is absolutely awful. If I could give fewer than one stars I would. DO NOT GO HERE!
