You might have a good experience once with with a contractor, maybe twice, but by the time you have a third amazing experience, you know you found a gem in the rough. We have many stories, but the latest is from the past couple days. There was water leaking through the wall (!!), Dave came over and quickly assessed what was going on. Then the next morning we saw that the situation has deteriorated and it was actually something affecting two separate units. This was on Saturday night and Sunday morning-- Dave was over in 20 minutes immediately on both days helping us mitigate the damage which was considerable but could've been much much worse. so now we're here on Sunday afternoon, Dave is replacing a water heater, mitigating water damage with eight fans running ... diagnosed the original source of the problem and documented it all on an SD card for us. The quick summary is that a clogged toilet led to thousands of dollars of damage. We're not happy about it, but now we know what happened, and in Dave's hands we're gonna get back to some sense of normalcy here soon. Dave puts his heart... And sweat... into his projects. He works his butt off - truly.

In the process of selling my home, a leak in my drain line was discovered in a hydrostatic test. I had a couple of days to get this fixed before the closing date. I was needing someone to come out and locate where the leak was. Nothing more than that. My realtor had called on my behalf to schedule a time to come by while i was working. Danny came by and explained their process and what all was included in their services, which was good to know. We were going to be in need of the actual repair work done. He immediately dropped the number of their leak detection and repair being $7500. This started my worry seeing as how that was a pretty outlandish estimate, even from a stand point of plumbers having the tunnel under a slab. I said ok, well how much is it to locate the leak? That was included with the $7500, which is pretty standard for a plumbing service. I was getting more suspicious since thats the service i actually was wanting at the moment, and the cost wasnt being disclosed to me. A few minutes later, he came back to the door and said he could have an excavator in the back yard in a couple of hours to start digging! I said hold up, were just locating the leak, and then if i decide to go with bernards, we can bundle that into the final bill. Now im no plumber, but he started to say the drain line cameras are a useful asset, but theyre not a fool proof way of finding a leak. He stated that my clean out was not all that he needed even to do a camera. He was going to have to dig up the yard to install what he needed, and since it was dug up, identify the leak by digging it up. Couple of last minute calls later scrambling to find someone that couple squeeze us in nearing the end of the plumber work day, and we got a camera put down there using the port he was claiming to need, and the line break was found. Now my closing date had to be extended since it was the end of the day, and i would not be able to schedule a licensed plumber to come out and do the repair work. My foundation company was already lined up to do the digging, we just needed to be able to tell them where.

This unit has an automatic shutoff if water is detected in drain pan. When we have very strong thunderstorms, the paper cover on the sensor will become wet and shut off the water. I called to ask about this problem and they sent 2 plumbers who spent 15 minutes in the attic, told me there was no roof leak and charged me $86. This is after spending a lot of money with them over the years. These folks have gotten too expensive and so I will looking for a new plumber.
