    Gema at the ranch
    M A.

Chris answered my request for a trainer in Buellton, CA. As you want in a trainer, Chris is a really good communicator. He asked key questions about my needs, my dog, and our availabilty. Then, he gave me some options for providing training for my new adult rescue dog. Specifically, I was looking for a trainer to help me to teach my dog to respect the cats at home. There is also a little separation anxiety. Chris arrived on time and with all his considerable skills! The session lasted for 1.5 hours. He was able to give me some immediate training on how to train my dog to avoid both my cats and their spots --- like the catio. He also noticed my dog, Gema, pulled me around a bit when walking on the lead. LIterally, within 15 minutes, Gema was heeling like a pro -- and shortly, I had the ability to reinforce this behavior the correct way all by myself. In fact, the day after Chris left Gema continued this behavior -- and I was able to continue my good leadership as well. Chris explained things clearly. He was really a kind person --- listened really well to me (ok, I can talk an ear off) and observed. Just a really good person to have helping. you out. I'm working on the tools and skills Chris gave me and fully expect to get Gema off to a good start. And keep my cats in good health! In the future, I plan to have Chris back to fine-tune and introduce more behaviors. 10/10 will be using Walk n'Roll again, thank you, Chris.

Not the best lighting since our puppy is black, but, they're sharing a bed now!

Can't say enough about Chris! We initially needed help with getting our 5 month old min pin and our newly rescued 7 year old standard schnauzer to be able to cohabitate. Our puppy's energy seemed to be too much for the schnauzer and she was really aggressive with her corrections, so we had to keep them on separate parts of the house for the past 3-4 weeks. A day before Chris arrived for our in-home training, we saw that Maggie had also become super reactive towards a guest that just arrived that day to stay with us, and would not stop barking at him. The only training that I knew was positive reinforcement training, so the only way we got her to stop is by having our guest feed her treats and trying to be nice, and giving her 'sit' commands. Not ideal. Chris came over the next day and in our one session with him, he immediately got Maggie to stop barking at him, and he taught us the way to correct bad behavior. We had her heeling on walks, and being calm when we saw other dogs and people/kids, and most importantly, being chill around our rescue. He also worked with the rescue, who's already a super chill dog, and we got her to heel on her walks, and be more gentle with her corrective behavior. Fast forward two days later, and we now have the puppy and the older dog sharing the same house space and even sharing the same bed! Most importantly, the rescue's corrections towards the puppy are now just a good bark, with no teeth showing our lunging. It's an incredible transformation. 3 weeks ago, we were about to re-home the schnauzer because we didn't think it was going to ever work out between these two, and thanks to Chris, we have a nice, quiet, peaceful home again and both these dogs are living together happily. Not only is Chris a great trainer, he's a really nice guy who really walks you through his techniques and provides next steps before he leaves. He's also very responsive to any follow up questions we have. 5 stars all day, if I could provide more I would! Thank you Chris! Tyler and Jeni

Chris is a miracle worker! I really thought I was just going to have to face that my dog would never be able to be walked around where other dogs might be. Our first session today showed me it's possible for my dog Grace to be out and about with other dogs and be coexisting with them! At the end of our session she wasn't lunging or barking even when other dogs were barking at her she stayed neutral to her environment which is something I never thought was possible especially with dogs around!I tried other trainers but none helped all of them just said oh treats will solve the problem. But Chris gets to the root of the problem without treats but proper training/techniques that will actually help! Looking forward to what's to come with graces training! And if you're looking for a trainer Chris is the best one there is

I couldn't be any happier that we called Chris. Our 105 lbs, 8-year-old, American Bulldog, Parker, thought that he was in charge. He wouldn't listen to my wife or myself and had issues with aggression. He had gotten out of our yard on a few occasions and had gone after a neighbor. He also tried to go after our mail carrier. He was also jealous and possessive and any time I would hug my wife, he would try and get between us. I did a google search for "aggressive dog training in Ventura Country," and of all the search results, Chris just looked like a normal, relatable guy. Since Parker is 8, I was a bit skeptical at first that Chris would be able to help us but after just the first visit, all my apprehensions were gone. Chris came by for just over 2 hours but in that time, Parker did a complete 180. Chris was able to show us methods that were 100% effective and that still continue to work to this day. I would highly recommend Chris to anyone.

5 stars is not enough! As others have said, Chris is a miracle worker! Our two 2-year-old boxers were constantly fighting to the point where we couldn't even have them out together because it wasn't safe. Chris not only solved the problem, but understood the dog dynamics going on, and gave us multiple tools to manage the aggression/fighting, but also to train them into obedient dogs (not stealing food, walking on a leash, annoying barking). All this in one hour! I cannot recommend Chris enough! We will be forever grateful.

Finding Chris was the highlight of our week. Our 2 poodles have aggression issues toward other dogs. We have tried many trainers but no one like Chris. He had the dogs walking in a pack with his dogs and behaving well within 30 minutes. Also, Chris is cool and clearly knows what he is doing. We will be booking our next session asap

Low stress beach walks since having been trained by Chris

Chris has helped our dog tremendously in just two sessions. Going for walks and taking our dog to the beach used to be a huge, stressful, chore - constantly looking to avoid other dogs, crossing the street, etc. just to avoid his fear aggression (barking, lunging, nipping) with other dogs. Within the first 20 minutes of our first session our dog was able to walk in a "pack walk" with Chris' two dogs, after just lunging and nipping at them at the beginning of the session. I can't explain enough how much of a relief it is to have a dog that is now able to tolerate and even hang out with other dogs! We feel like we finally have freedom in taking our dog more places without stress and we cannot thank Chris enough for that. To anyone considering getting training for their dog with Walk N' Roll K9 - DO IT. Your dog and mental health will thank you.

I reached out to Chris and Ashley about a behavioral Aussie who had previously been on death row because of his food aggression and resource guarding. He had bitten every staff member at the shelter and continued his aggressive tendencies at the sanctuary he landed in. I almost felt like this was one I should have let go...until Chris came along. He gave Chris a run for his money, as he had been practicing this habit, this means of getting what he wanted, for so long. I watched his progress with Chris, and it was amazing how quickly he turned around. While the first week may have been a little rough, Wylie was following Chris's every command by week two. After that, Wylie was a changed dog forever. What I love about them is that it's not about controlling the dog. It's about building a relationship of trust and respect. He gives the dogs what they need- exercise and fulfillment through off leash beach runs and hikes through nature. He respects the individual dog while teaching them to respect and trust him. They learn to just be a dog, and that their leader will do the rest. This dog had no other hope. He had been through trainers, through multiple shelters, and Chris and Ashley changed his life forever. I could not be more grateful. Whether you need basic commands, puppy training or have the most aggressive of dogs, Walk N Roll K9 can meet all of your needs!

Halle immediately loved working with Maddie and was excited to train every day. Maddie has a warm, welcoming personality that made us feel comfortable throughout the entire process. She was patient, knowledgeable, and always took the time to answer our specific questions and address our individual concerns. One of the things we appreciated most was how clearly Maddie explained everything. She made the training easy to understand and gave us practical tools that we could continue using at home. We are so happy with Halle's progress and incredibly grateful for the confidence and skills Maddie has helped both Halle and us develop. Halle continues to go back to K9 Solutions for daycare, and we always feel completely confident leaving her in K9 Solutions care. It gives us such peace of mind knowing that Halle is safe, happy, and in caring, capable hands. She settled into her crate that first night back at home (relatively no drama!), and now she can sleep pretty peacefully in it whether we're home or traveling.
