This place is shady. My wife's car was broken into near the Wonder View Trail Head and this Walgreens just happens to be the place of choice to use stolen credit cards. Minutes after she went on a hike we received fraud text alerts on two larger purchases here. One charge for $301 was flagged and denied. Probably a gift card? The second on another card for $160 went through. Pretty sure either a blind eye is turned or it's an inside game. Stay away. read more

This review is for the pharmacy. Made an appointment online to get flu shot and TDAP. First they were out of flu shots then I was told that it doesn't matter if I have an appointment. Literally saw staff member Roland bully a mom trying to buy formula, while his fellow worker stood by but the fellow worker with Roland was actually the one who started the bullying, then they both gave this women a ridiculously hard time..well done guys giving moms trying to buy formula for their baby a ridiculously hard time. You should be ashamed of yourselves. You guys have been so rude to me every time I come in as I literally live around the corner and visit occasionally, but I brush it off and don't really worry about it. They refused to check if they had a medication in stock. All because I wasn't physically there to show them my prescription...you want me to drive all the way there when there is a chance you might not even have it? Makes sense. CVS, on the other hand, was more than happy to oblige. Rite Aid took it a step further and they let me know another location that did have it- that ended up being only a few more minutes away. I enjoy the fact that this isn't Rite Aid. I pretty much view all of these stores in a similar light and haven't acquired preferences shopping them, as I know some people do. I do however live in the area, and feel I have let the nearby Rite Aid have its run. Anyone that has been to the Studio City, Rite Aid knows all to well how long the lines tend to be. And since I can't enjoy the occasional tasty scoop of ice cream on a sugar cone; Rite Aid is gonna have to play second fiddle to Walgreens. This Walgreens is brand new and has a nice parking lot . They seem too stock more than enough of the necessary items you're looking for. Like a better variety of lotions, deodorants, first aid, nail polish...you get it. While I was heading out of the store I spotted a display of t-shirts for $3.99. I figured why not get a inexpensive well made t-shirt. It will come in handy. Plus it sports a Studio City, Walgreens logo with a Hollywood theme. I mean sure, why not. The shirt is comfy and can make a souvenir for someone. Plus this seems to be the store I'm giving my loyalty to; so why not represent? I think a new sheriff is in town and her name is Walgreens. read more

Went to look for a very specific item and they didn't have it. Got some other things on sale. Got $20 cash back but forgot go give it to me and and I also forgot to ask for it, because my child was distracting me. Put child in car seat, drove away... realized, and turned around. Parked, got child out of seat to go back and retrieve my money from this nerd, and then instead of giving it to me, made me go get my receipt out of the car,even though he helped me use the damn cash back button... anyway, I was never rude to him... but HE NEVER APOLOGIZED!!!! AT All, In any way, for my inconvenience. So now I had to sit in the parking lot all annoyed, writing this in hopes that management has a conversation about customer service with this kid. I love this walgreens & pharmacy. great customer service. inventory is great -- good snacks, misc items, cosmetics, everything..! cashiers are enthusiastic and welcoming (at least the guys who are working the register every time i enter). pharmacy is usually open until pretty late-- the only downside is that there is usually a single person working in the pharmacy, so service and pick-up can be slow at times (almost every time i've gone...) BUT the sincerity and good service (when it is given) is great, so no big qualms about the wait :) AH, NO liquor license, so they don't have any alcohol in stock .... ... but, who needs to buy alcohol here when there's a ralphs, a rite-aid, and bars in the vicinity....? the establishment itself is pretty new, so you dont feel like you're getting dirtier just being there and won't get creeped out walking around. read more

This is hands down one of the nicest drug stores I've been in. It's clean, organized, well stocked, and the employees are friendly, happy and knowledgeable. The line is never long and even when it is there's a bunch of stuff surrounding you to look at. I haven't had a chance to really use this Walgreens for anything other than my prescriptions, but it's definitely going to get my business over the Rite Aid across the street which is old, disorganized, dirty, and almost always has a five minute line. The parking lot is a great size and I always find a great spot. The pharmacists are smart and friendly people and I always get a person almost immediately when I call. You can get a $25 Walgreens card when you move your prescription over here, too! All in all, I'm not easy to impress when it comes to drug stores, but this Walgrees is top notch. read more

Didn't realise i was $10 short on my $56.86 change back this afternoon (8/6/2018)until i counted my change in the car, everything was perfectly down to the penny minus my missing $10. I chopped it up as a loss because it was my fault for not counting my change back after receiving it at the counter. Restrained myself from going back in and trying to get it back, I wasn't in the mood of becoming a crazed internet meme if it didn't work out the way i would of liked it to be, due to things not really working my way. When I use to live in Studio City, this was my go-to Walgreens. The staff here have always been exceptionally friendly. There's always been a great selection to choose from, and they've never been out of stock. The manager is really nice and always remembered me which was lovely. The pharmacy was wonderful as well! I never had any issues with long waits or unfriendliness. All and all, it's a great store! read more

This is the closest Walgeens to my house. My Dr. wanted me to transfer my scripts here bc apparently they use higher quality generics. Unfortunetly the pharm techs have zero personality and make no effort to smile or be in anyway friendly. The older gentleman at the front check out for the store is the complete opposite. The best customer service at any Walgreens ever! And Ive been using Walgreens since they first opened the Castro St. store in S.F. about 30 years ago! Pharmacy though very dissapointing which is tbe reason for 3 stars overall. If I didnt have to deal with them this would be a 5 star rating. read more

My name is Dr Smith and I was at your store #11918 11000 Ventura Blvd. Studio City, CA 91604. My goal was to send money to my son before my wife and I head to Hawaii for a vacation on Friday October 28th. On Wednesday October 26th at 8:55pm I entered your store which was somewhat in shambles and sat at the western union kiosk. At this time it was 8:57pm and from my right side a loud boisterous voice came across the store saying "NO WESTERN UNION IT'S 9:00PM." That may very well be the rule which is fine but there is a better goddamn way to say that to me and a better way to treat any customer for any reason. My wife who is an attorney was extremely offended at his actions as was I. I am a Cardiologist meaning I have been to school longer than this person has probably been alive and have more education than he can even phathom and this is how I'm treated? This is how your store views and treats there customers. Without customers you have no business at all. So I call your complaint line it is conveniently closed. So I am calling in the morning because there is a good chance that I call my cousin at NBC and put this on the news. But here is the amazing thing, I call the store to complain because I have much more tact than your employee and refuse to lower myself in an argument in the middle of your store with customers, however come to find out the person with no class and no tact who thought he was in the right to yell at an African American Cardiologist was your manager on duty at that time named Bryan or Ryan. Whoever was the manager on duty October 26th at 9pm. I want this rectified. This email is sent in triplicate one to you, which will be followed by a phone call, one to the better business bureau, a entry on Yelp. There will be two more one is on my attorneys desk and the other was sent to NBC. I want an apology and if I or anyone I know ever decide to step foot in your store they better be treated with the respect a customer deserves. read more

I have been to this location a few times and every time I'm pleasantly surprised. Not only is the store consistently tidy and well stocked, but the service is outstanding. Melvis has helped me every time and really puts a smile on every customers face. Coming in to buy medicine when you're sick usually isn't a fun and noteworthy experience, but Melvis' genuine care and humor made it so. Shoutout to him- get this man a raise! I am giving Walgreens Pharmacy 5 stars. I have stage IV colon cancer and have been getting my many prescriptions filled at this pharmacy for the last 12 months. One of the doctors at Cedars Sinai, where I am getting my treatment, told me that this Walgreens is unusual and behaves like a small town pharmacy. They call with questions and care about their customers. They pay attention. When I walk in they know my name and say hello and always ask how I am doing. Their email service and automated prescription refill works really well. When you are sick it's the little things going smoothly that help make your life easier. Thank you Walgreens. read more

I have mixed feelings about this place. The first time I came in, I didn't have enough cash to finish my purchase so the cashier offered to pay the difference. That made my day. On the other hand, the second time I came in another cashier accused me of stealing makeup. I was at the cash register and the cashier asked, "Is that all" and I said yes. Then, with a smirk, she asked me if I was sure and I nodded my head. Then she searched my bag and obviously found nothing. We come to this store several times a month with our daughter and enjoy the experience. She walks around shopping like a big girl; and it's adorable. My wife bought a toy for $6.37 and left it at the store. She went back the next day with the receipt so get it back but the manager on duty had to check the video tape; which took forever. So we had to leave because we didn't have 20 minutes to scroll through the tape. This happened several more times, eventually we went on a day when we had Romeo wait. Guess what!? We had left the toy there and they gave us a new one. As a manager I m ow you get a certain amount of comps . Why waste our time and yours. And the manager was negative about it. read more

Rolando is awesome! We just called looking for a specific brand of bar soap and let me just tell you, he went above and beyond good customer service in our search for bar soap. When he found that they carried the brand but not the specific type and scent we were looking for he checked the surrounding Walgreens locations for it (no luck), researched the brand a bit to see if it was a product they MIGHT have in stock at some point (no luck), gave us a couple options as to who might have it and, if we still couldn't find it, offered to order it for us to pick up in a couple days. He was super polite and so helpful. Someone give this kid a raise!! This literally happened 5 minutes ago and we had to post this review right away. Very refreshing! This Walgreens is aesthetically pleasing and for the most part the staff seems friendly. My issue is some of the pharmacy dept workers seem to lack good communication skills. They aren't friendly and when having concerns with meds sometimes you need that person to listen and explain. I want to give them the benefit of the doubt and go back so I hope for a more positive experience in the future read more

At the register, I saw a brochure about immunizations and I was going on a trip to Africa in a few weeks, so I asked the cashier a few questions about it. He showed me the brochure and didn't have the answers, but gave me contact information so I could have all my questions answered. Pharmacy staff is nice but very slow. For example I go for a pick up i have two people ahead of me. Ok I wait 10 mins the clerk is still talking to one of the customers minding you we are all waiting. Ok 5 mins passes by & then someone else comes to help me. Ok so I give them my name & she goes to get my med. I'm waiting for her to hand me my med & all of a sudden she decides to help the person next to me & counseling her about her meds. This Walgreens is pretty bad. Had a prescription called in by my doctor- went in 4 times and only once was it actually ready for me. The other 3x's they said I waited too long (2-3 days) and they ran out so it wouldn't be available until a few days later. After the third time I said forget this and went back to CVS where I usually get my prescriptions and have never ever ever had a problem, not only does CVS send me text alerts and reminders to pick it up- the service is fast and I've never had an issue getting it filled even if I wait longer than 2-3 days. The pharmacy is VERY SLOW and non-communicative. There were four people working but neither seemed to care about anyone else's time (or mine) as they were making personal conversations while I patiently waited over 25 mins for an answer on a vaccine. I was hoping to move my prescriptions there but NO WAY for sure now. On my way out I picked up an item and took it to the front register. I patiently waited (again) at the front counter while an employee named Melvin looked over at me but did not acknowledge. He just continued visiting with someone about 25 feet away. After several minutes he rudely greeted me "over here" as to say, bring your items to me. This is the very definition of rude, unfriendly and unhelpful service. Thanks to the pharmacy for nothing and thanks to Melvin for even worse service upon my exiting. There will be no return entrance by me for sure. read more

Marissa, the manager was very helpful and courteous. I have an ankle cast, which makes it slow and frustrating to get around so shopping​ the aisles as I usually do was out of the question. I spoke to the manager and she went out of her way to help me find what I was looking for, put it in my cart for me so I wouldn't have to lift things and even helped me out to my car. I rarely get such great customer service in stores these days, especially places like Walgreens, but in this instance, I was very pleasantly surprised. Marissa is great! read more

The pharmacy has struck again. I asked Kaiser to transfer a $7 prescription there and they told me it is $450, so I asked them to transfer it back to Kaiser. The pharmacist was very rude and seemed surprised that I wouldn't pay that price. Even asked me if I would be willing to buy a smaller number of the pills to "fit my budget". And acted shocked at how poor I must be when I said refused to buy 6 pills for $110. Then they said that Kaiser needed to call them back to have the prescription transferred back, and Kaiser reported to me that it was nearly impossible to get in touch with the pharmacy for the majority of a day. If you have any choice of where you pick up your prescription, avoid this rat hole at all costs. They don't care about you. read more

This is my favorite pharmacy, and I've been to many: CVS, RiteAid, other Walgreens. Like a lot of people, I get tired standing in long lines and then when you get up to the counter, you're told, "Oh I'm sorry. Your insurance doesn't cover that." They know they've got you once you stand in those long lines because you're sick and what else are you going to do? I've never been given any bs here; never been hustled and sold anything that I didn't need, and unlike a lot of other pharmacies, they've actually got two pharmacists, Nooshin and Koushyar, that always have time for any question. And their technicians training program, the Walgreens Pharmacy Technician Training Program, is accredited by the American Society of Health System Pharmacists (ASHP). There's a big parking lot, great air conditioning, and they're centrally located on Vineland and Ventura with a Ralphs across the street. If you're looking for an honest, no scams pharmacy, this is it. read more

There's a RITE AID right across the street, but I prefer this Walgreens. It's a little packed, but very organized and clean. They're always well stocked and have great offers if you are a member. It doesn't cost anything to join, basically just a rewards program. I come here a lot to print photos off my iPhone....what should only take an hour as stated on the computer screen ends up taking much longer every time. I've come back even later than stated and my photos still weren't done. I've never seen anyone using the computers since I've been going there so it's hard for me to believe they're THAT swamped. Is there an overwhelming amount of people dropping off film or using disposable cameras non-stop? Cashiers are friendly. My favorite one is an older gentleman who is always in such a great mood and really cool! We talk about tattoos :) Also, there's plenty of parking: meters along the street and free parking in the back. read more
