The unprofessionalism at this pharmacy is staggering. There's usually a long wait when we pick up our medications (even when nobody else is in line), but that has never been more on display than it was when I called about a prescription issue this evening. I called at 7:34 pm-- plenty of time, you'd assume-- to speak to a staffer before their 8 pm closing time. The automated recording instructed me to hold, as there were three callers ahead of me. The number eventually dropped to one, and as my call timer hit 26 minutes, the recording told me to continue to hold as they handled other customers. So I held and I held and I held some more. Finally I hopped in the car and drove to the store, my phone speaker continuing its instruction to hold. I marched straight to the back of the store where-- no surprise-- I found the pharmacy locked and dark. I would expect them to lock the door and close the blinds at 8:00, but a respectable, professional staff would clear the phone board before heading home. They didn't even have the "common courtesy" to hang up on me. Wishing to take it up with a manager, I kept my phone speaker on as I awaited my turn for the cashier up front. "Please continue to hold as we are speaking to other customers," it repeated over and over. At 8:28 I finally spoke to a human being. "May I speak to a manager, please?" "Um, wait, is it Tuesday?" the cashier asked. "Yes, it's Tuesday. May I speak to a manager, please?" "No, he's not here. He'll be in tomorrow." "Is there nobody here who can help me with a pharmacy issue?" "Pharmacy closed at 8:00." "Yes, but they were open when I called them, and the automated voice keeps telling me they're still speaking to other customers. Look at the time stamp on my phone." I would have suggested the entire staff take a refresher course in customer service, but at that point I realized it's a fool's errand to look for any kind of meaningful assistance from people who clearly value their own time above their customers'. read more

Another fail by Walgreens. The second location in two days that was a huge let down. These guys were at least apologetic but wouldn't fill my prescription for a difficult to find medication because I wasn't an existing customer and hadn't used Walgreens in a few years. Horrible pharmacy. I understand they are overworked and understaffed, but the complete disregard for their patients is inexcusable. I was simply trying to transfer one of my scripts (that literally keeps me out of the hospital) to a different Walgreens pharmacy, but, before speaking a single word to me, they put me on hold then hung up on me four, separate times. Like I said, I understand they are overworked. But it would've taken 2 minutes to get my info and transfer my script. This isn't a restaurant or general store - peoples lives depend on these medications. Get over yourselves. I have lived in Texas for a few years now and this is the closest Walgreens to me. It can be quite crowded but ai will say, Calvin always has such a great attitude. He has been patient and helpful and kind. One day I watched him field off 7 customers, handle the phones and drive through and even answer questions from the young lady helping him. He stayed calm and professional. I decided to write a thank you card to the staff next time I visited. They were blown away! They were beyond shocked and grateful and said that it was the first time ever they got a ty card. A simple thank you goes a long way and I am grateful for their patience. read more

Don't call this pharmacy expecting them to answer. Gave me my infants prescription with a broken seal. Impossible to get them to answer the phone and was hung up on multiple times without being able to talk to anyone. Now I'm hesitant to give my child her medicine. If I could leave ZERO stars I would. My doctors sent my prescriptions right over and the Pharmacy Tech confirmed receipt. This was at 1:18pm. I have asthma and acute bronchitis and coughing and can't catch my breath. The medications are to help me breathe and stop coughing. The Pharm Tech told me they close in 8 minutes for lunch. I asked if he could expedite my medicine as I'm really sick and can't breathe. He said no and told me to come back. I told him I was too sick and will wait, he said it won't be ready until 2:30pm. Then the Pharmacist Calvin came to the window and yelled at me and told me I was rude for trying to rush him. I tried to explain that I'm super sick and can't drive home with my baby and come back, I'm just too sick and can't breathe. He again said I was rude. I drove away and went to H‑E‑B where my medicine is already being filled and it's only 2:01pm. I will never again go to Walgreens on Sawdust. Calvin the Pharmacist is about the worst I have even experienced. read more

I tried and tried to turn this Walgreens pharmacy into something it's not- customer focused. Years ago it was great but has steadily declined. I'm not one to review but tonight, in typical fashion, I've been let down. This is the only local pharmacy that has a medication that is on back order at my other pharmacy. This location used to have all my business but I've since transferred all medications over to another pharmacy. I called at 2:00 and they said they had it and would submit the transfer request and get it filled. They asked that i give them 3 hours. I called at 730 that night and was only put on hold for 10 minutes 36 seconds this time (oddly a quick hold time with this location. I've actually driven from downtown Houston to this location still on hold- and when i walked in there was no one in line- but that's a different story). I was told that they just haven't had time to call it and get it processed. Out of curiosity, I asked who the pharmacist was on duty and was told Calvin. Yet again I'm disappointed In his team's attention to detail and the care his team provides. Unfortunately, I need the medication. Once it's in stock I'll be transferring it back to my other pharmacy. Walgreens how many reviews do you need to at least start poking around and doing some due diligence? Don't take my word, secret shop them. Better yet call them and start the timer when they put you on hold. read more

Walgreens has become a big, fat, ugly joke. Mrs. G filled her prescription for her emergency inhaler but a few days later when needed it fails to deliver product (she has used the same type of inhaler for years) resulting in a very unpleasant night. Bring it back and rudely asked - have you washed it? But it is new I responded - aren't these things tested for quality control? Oh they get plugged with foreign matter all the time is the response - now that sounds good doesn't it?! So after determine that indeed the device is not performing we have to sit and wait (30 minutes and counting) for the pharmacy to call the manufacturer to see if they will consider it defective and allow Mrs. G to receive one that works. And if they don't feel like it we are out of luck??? Really!!?? You must be kidding me read more

The pharmacy at this location is difficult to reach by phone, condescending in personal interaction, and repeatedly reject prescriptions from our pediatrician, then make it difficult for our pediatrician to reach them and resolve issues. This pharmacy is incredibly conveniently located for us and we really wanted to be able to keep our business with them, but they've made that impossible. read more

I placed an photo pick up order from another Walgreens nearby earlier that day. When I went to the store to pick it up five hours later I was told that they would not be able to fulfill that order today even though, online it was suppose to be completed within an hour. I called this Walgreens and spoke to Eduardo, he ensured me that he would have my order completed within a quickly timed manner. When I arrive at the store later, Eduardo walked me through my order and went above and beyond my satisfaction. To see an employee so dedicated to making sure I had a great experience and that my order was completed within a timely matter made this experience go from horrible to completely overjoyed. read more

Do not use this pharmacy!! Go to CVS down the road. I attempted to use the pharmacy multiple times because of the 24-hour schedule. On my last visit, I waited well over an hour and heard continuous customer complaints including: - Staff is too lazy to call the insurance company. The customer was told they "don't have time for that..." - They informed two different customer that they ran out of a specific medication and to go to another location. - Excessively long lines because the staff is very slow and does not seem to care This may be the worst pharmacy in this area. This review is for the pharmacy. It is the worst walgreens I have ever been to! They don't fill your Rx in the time period promised, sometimes even if you call it in days ahead of time. They won't call you if there's a problem with your Rx or if they're out of your meds. If you're just filling something random, its inconvenient, but if you're like me, and you're in there every single month to fill the Rx that you need to function and/or stay alive, it's a REALLY BIG DEAL. I would say there is a hassle or some sort of inconvenience 80% of the time. At LEAST. Expect to be on hold at least 30 mins if you call during a "slow" time, if you call during rush hour, expect to wait a lot more than that before they "accidentally" hang up on you. And you better double check the price. Expect to pay more because they're out of generic. Sometimes, its a LOT more. Guess what? It's not my problem you can't grasp the concept of inventory. Why do I have to pay extra for your poor management? They can't be bothered to warn you ahead of time so you can check another location. They just don't care. Unfortunately, this is the most convenient pharmacy for most of the southern part of the woodlands, on the busiest corner. So why are they so poorly staffed? I've often been in there between 5 and 7pm, with the line backed up around the corner in and out of the store, and they'll have just TWO employees working. WTF? I try to avoid the busy times, but honestly it really doesn't matter. There's always sone sort of issue. Sadly, there are a few employees there that actually seem to care about what they do, and they do their best, but how can they work effectively when they're so overwhelmed and understaffed? The ONLY reason anyone uses this pharmacy is for the hours and the location. I wish I didn't need a 24 hour pharmacy so I could go somewhere else. The pharmacy service here is horrible. They seem to always be behind and they are not very polite. If they have a problem with your prescription they don't call you they just wait for you to show up and then tell you. It is nearly impossible to get someone helpful on the phone. I have waited on hold for over 30 minutes before. Walmart or HEB nearby are much better choices. read more

I have given this pharmacy another chance and I am happy to report things have greatly improved. Phone systems appear to have been updated and I have observed staff balancing answering phones, taking care of drive-through and in-store customers when waiting in line. Communication is much better. This improvement has continued even through Covid. read more

Unless you are needing an overnight emergency refill, I would say this is the worst pharmacy ever. They lost my husband's RX THREE times, and refused to fill it on the fourth try.They let a sick patient go without, for over a week, before telling him to go elsewhere. When, Kroger filled in within 20 mins. Also, the store is dirty and has cob-webs hanging from the ceiling, with rude staff to add to the mix. If 0 was an option it certainly would have been chosen, no doubt. I try to avoid dealing with the pharmacy as much as possible and go elsewhere if I can. I have been dealing with this pharmacy for many many years when it's a last resort and I absolutely have to. Don't bother with the drive-thru. It is no quicker and have waited up to 45 minutes until I got to speak to someone at the window. When speaking with a pharmacist or tech on the phone, your wait time is an hour even though there's only one caller ahead of you. Many times the line gets disconnected when on hold which forces you to call back and wait another hour. They are not helpful nor friendly and try to rush you off the phone when you do reach someone. I understand they are busy and people are waiting, but there's no reason to be unprofessional and unhelpful. In person, the evening pharmacist was trying to push me away despite me being the only customer at the counter (no one at the drive thru) by telling me that he was unable to help. When I questioned him on it, he made up an excuse not to fulfill the request. I pushed back by questioning his reasons and he eventually retreated and submitted my prescriptions and provided the information that was being asked. I just cannot believe that after all these years it has not changed. Customer service is NOT their priority nor encouraged at this store. This pharmacy is terrible. Every time I've gone there, there's a huge wait and they told me they would have my prescription ready by this morning. I called this morning and they have no record of me dropping off a prescription. The pharmacist was very rude and kept cutting me off when I was trying to explain what was going on because apparently they're so busy that they don't have time to talk on the phone and understand what's going on and what the issue is. Then, he rudely told me that he would do it when he got to it and got off of the phone with me. I could understand this if I was being rude or if I was angry or shouting at the person I would want to hang up on that kind of a person as well. But, this was not the case. I've used this pharmacy for 10+ years and it's progressively gotten worse. I even stuck with them through the medication theft accusations a few years back but enough is enough. There's never more than one pharmacist on duty. They're always behind so expect a 45 min to 1 hr wait (for me at least). I added that cause one Tech tells me 1 hr and Ms Daisy strolls in 10 min later and another Tech tells her 30 min. I've yet to come here and "not" here and argument over something. I have used the pharmacy for a couple of years now, and I am going to change to another pharmacy after today. My doctor spent more than 30 minutes this Sunday, November 5, 2017, trying to call in a prescription for me. He was put on hold more than three times at ten minutes each time. He told me that Brandy was the rudest pharmacist he has ever encountered in his career. When I called to complain, she was rude to me, also. No more. After several wrong pharmacy refills in the past and after today's fiasco of no service and no respect, I am changing to a more professional pharmacy in the area. This is by far the best walgreens I have ever been to. I quit using walgreens in the past due to rude ass staff and horrible pharmacy service. Not here. They are the most outstanding walgreens ever! The pharmacy is super fast they told me a 15 min wait and literally it was more like two min. They are beyond helpful up front and in the pharmacy everyone here has really gone out of their way for me. Last night I drove up to the pharmacy drive-through. After about 5 minutes of waiting and not seeing any staff, I hit the "call" button. After a couple minutes of ringing, it just stopped. I didn't know what happened and so I hit the call button again. After a short while, a man picked up and yelled at me, "WE ARE WITH ANOTHER CUSTOMER," and hung up. At this point It has been about 10 minutes of sitting in my car at 9p.m. And I still haven't seen a single person in the pharmacy. Then, a woman comes over finally. She also seems to lack customer service skills; however, she is at least not completely belligerent like the man earlier. Needless to say, avoid this place! read more

Terrible customer service. When you call you are put on hold for long periods of time. They pick up the phone and put you right back on hold. When you get to the location, if there isn't a long line to pick up, you still have to wait to be assisted and meds are not available for pick up timely. This location seems way over loaded with prescriptions. They need more help in the pharmacy department. Or better management to deligate who does what. Worst Pharmacy Ever!!!! They seriously don't ever answer their phone so you have to drive up there and 99% of the time they don't have meds ready for one stupid reason or another. So incompetent and would never go the extra step (mile) to insure getting you taking care of. I literally HATE this walgreens.
