Everything takes forever here. No one answers the phone. You sit in drive thru for 45 minutes or more. You can drop off a prescription and it takes 2 or 3 days to be filled. Definitely not the service I signed up for. We'll be transferring immediately. read more

Walgreens - Drugstores Near Me - Slidell, Louisiana

This store, especially the pharmacy, is the epitome of incompetence, laziness, ambivalence "stupidity". I have had nothing but problems, issues, delays, miscommunication, misinformation and hours of time lost on hold and in line. I never thought I would move to Covington yet here I am. I have been to the Walgreens there twice and have gotten better service in those two visits than I have in six months of visits to the store. There's never been a line. The people are always helpful. Imagine that?! when I get someone on the phone, they can actually answer my questions and the answers they give me are the correct ones and they agree with what other people say. (As opposed to the revolving door of answers, you may or may not get from military road.) the absolute icing on the cake though was the other day when I tried to transfer a prescription from military to Covington. Called military and asked them to do it and was greeted by a lovely (very heavy sarcasm) person named Tran. He told me that the people at the Covington store were either stupid or lazy and that if they wanted to call him he could walk them through the process of transferring my prescriptions . But he wasn't going to do it. I called the Covington store back and relay this information to them. Being the professionals that they are, as opposed to the whatever gets hired at military, they didn't make a comment other than to chuckle. And offered to take care of my transfer for me immediately. Oh, and my prescriptions were ready within an hour. Unlike military where it takes days for prescriptions to get ready. And again no line at the drive-through. Go to military Road only if you want to have a stroke because you want your blood pressure to reach record levels at the utterridiculous lack of professionalism and ability on display. read more

The pharmacy is a joke at this location. When you try to call, they either don't pick up and you finally have to hang up cause you been on hold for over 30 minutes or more with no one coming to the phone. I guess they want you to get frustrated and hang up because they don't want to do their job. They are constantly out of medications. There is always issues here. I use another Walgreens in Metairie, and they are awesome. Always answer the phone after the second ring, no hold etc. I'm gonna have to get all my medications transferred to Metairie or use CVS. read more

Takes forever to fill prescription if this medication was meant to save my life i'd be dead by now. This place is a sick joke

I use a different location until it closed and everything was transferred to Military location. I was treated very poorly. I waited for my prescriptions for 2 hours and was finally told one could not be filled until the next day, and I would have to come back the next day and It was 9:00 at night when I left. That is only one horror story of my experiences there. My husband had a prescription that he must take daily but they did not have in stock and said it would be in, in 2 or 3 days but 3 days later they had no record of the Rx and had not ordered it. There were no apologies just As it you need to get your Dr to write another prescription. Needless to say we both tried different locations of Walgreens and got the same terrible service at all but the 1260 Front St where they treat you like a person, they are friendly, helpful and make you feel welcome. A pharmacist is an extension of your doctor and you need to trust both and the Front St location gets my approval and trust. read more

I use to really like Walgreens Pharmacy department on Military Rd.in Slidell but they got another crew that is so lazy. You call and your on hold for nearly forever. "IF" they answer, they put you on hold again or they just hang up on you. Unless corporate changes something and gets these lazy workers out, they are going to loose a lot of business. Unfortunately, Walgreens is our in network pharmacy for our insurance. After testing positive for the flu, the doctor sent a prescription for medicine to the Walgreens on Military. My son waited in line for 20 minutes only to find out that they were out of it. The pharmacist told him to call the Front Street store. I'm surprised that they don't have the ability to see what is in stock at other Walgreen pharmacies. I also would think it is good business to contact the store for the customer because without the prescription being sent over, my son would not have been able to get the medicine even if they had it. My son called the Front Street Walgreens, but it took him to a call center. The representative told him that she would try to get the prescription transferred from Military to Front Street. After being on hold for 35 minutes, he got disconnected. He called back and was told the medicine was not at the Front Street store, but they had some at another local Walgreens. They "transferred" him to that pharmacy and he was on hold for an hour before hanging up because he knew the store was about to close. I'm pretty sure I'll never step foot in a Walgreen for anything ever again. I'm willing to pay more money out of network. Now we will have to wait until morning for the Walgreens that has my son's prescription to open and transfer to a store that has the medicine. read more

The photo center is the bomb!!!! I had to print a couple pictures for Father's Day at the last minute and I walked in, plugged my USB drive in the photo center clicked the photos I needed printed and they printed within about 20-30 minutes. Note that I only had about 20 pictures to be printed so I'm sure it takes a little longer for them to print bigger orders but it was simple fast and convenient. I am def. going to be getting all my photos done here from now on. Love everything about it. read more

I love Walgreens.. But this store is way out at the end of town and that part of Slidell so needs it.. The only thing i don't like is they close at 10 pm. In the city they close at12pm... But i still give them 5stars....thank you guys read more
