Visiting this store is kinda how I imagine visiting a store in Diagon Alley/Harry Potter would…read morefeel. It's a converted house, so it has several small rooms and an almost maze-like feeling. There are crystals, candles, soap, supplements, essential oils, jars of herbs, and books scattered throughout. Many of the things available are handmade and/or vegan, and you can make custom tea blends. I've been trying to drink more tea for health reasons. I wanted loose leaf tea, which is hard to find in big box stores, so I did some Googling and found this place. Went on a Sunday near closing time. The staff was friendly, and when I mentioned that I'd ideally like a tea to help with IBS, the employee Jessica suggested a custom blend. I ended up with plantain, nettle, rooibos (my pick), and oats; they didn't have fennel, which Jessica apologized for because she said it would've been a good addition. She explained each herb choice, and provided brewing instructions since one of the herbs - oats - required a longer brew time. It wasn't cheap, but it also wasn't that expensive once you figure that you're not dealing with the weight/bulk of the tea bags. Overall, a fun store for local shopping and worth the visit.

I had a very disappointing experience at Clover Nails and Spa in Slidell today. I came in for my…read moreappointment expecting to relax and get pampered for my birthday. I showed the technician a photo of the nail design I wanted and asked if he could do it. His response was simply "no," and from the start his attitude felt dismissive and unwelcoming. When I asked how close he could get to the design, he told me that normally clients send their inspiration pictures before the appointment and that he has other clients, so he didn't know. As a new client, I was never told that I needed to send a photo ahead of time. There was no communication about that requirement when I booked. Instead of trying to help or offer alternatives, the interaction continued to feel rude and dismissive. At that point, I told him I no longer wanted the service. I came in as a paying customer, followed their booking process, and was simply looking forward to enjoying my birthday and being treated with basic courtesy. Customer service matters, and unfortunately I did not feel welcomed or valued here at all. Based on my experience, I would not recommend this salon.
