Horrible customer service!!! The service at the pharmacy is so uncalled for. The pharmacy hold time waits is horrible, the keep you on hold for so long that the call drops. The store app to get notification when you medication is ready is just as bad, it will show that the medication is ready, I go there, and I still have to wait 1/2 hour,. How long does it take to count 10-15 tablets. Looking for a Mom & Pops pharmacy. read more

The entire Pharmacy Department. I have never come across a pharmacist that was that negative, and couldn't care less about your problem. My wife went into the store to try and pick up a prescription for me for covid. The prescription was called in and when my wife went to pick it up the pharmacist told her that they were out of stock on this medication and he didn't know when they were going to be restocked on it. My wife tried to explain to him that her husband who was home and 81 years old was suffering from covid. He needed this medication. He couldn't care less. He told her to go someplace else and find it. She asked if he could look up another pharmacy and call them to see if they had it, and he became very arrogant. He said look this is my second day on the job I hate what I'm doing all I have to do is find solutions for people's problems. He said he was going to quit. He just got the job, what the hell is his problem? My wife had to track down the other Walgreens in the area to see if they had Pax lovid. After spending a lot of time on the phone my wife found out that you can't get to talk to a live person in the pharmacy departments at Walgreens it's all recorded message. She then started calling CVS. The first store she called was in East Patchogue they told her they had plenty of it in stock have the prescription transferred to them. She went back to the Walgreens and saw the same nasty arrogant pharmacist that she had before. SHe asked him to transfer the prescription to CVS. He said he doesn't have the time to do it there's a lot of other things he has to do he doesn't know when he could make the phone call to transfer the prescription. She then went to CVS and they made the call to Walgreens to find out why no one could transfer the prescription, and once again you can't get to talk to a live person at Walgreens it's all recorded messages. My wife had to then go back to Walgreens and plead with this pharmacist to please call CVS and transfer the prescription as her husband who is 81 years old suffering from covid and not doing well at all. He said he would do it as soon as he got a minute. She then went back to CVS to wait. No call. This pharmacist at Walgreens shouldn't be doing what he does for a living if you don't like what you do get out of it. After going back to Walgreens for the third time she asked him to make the call while she was standing there and he finally agreed to it. We were able to get the medication at CVS. I will never ever, let me repeat that ever shop at Walgreens again. You are a service business if you can't afford to give people the proper service you shouldn't be in business. The staff was very rude and judgmental. My doctor forgot to send in my syringes used for intramuscular B12 every month. I needed 5. She gave me a dirty look and said ughh we don't sell them here. Your a pharmacy!!! But i say you dont shes says not at this location unless your doctor prescribes them which i understand but iam due today and the doctor was closed. And when i called and told me that they did sell them!! They said they are super cheap!! I figured ill just pay for them. She didn't care to help apologize nothing was just rude and judgemental!!! I stopped here today to use the Fed Ex return for a rug I purchased online. My printer was out of ink at home so I asked the gentleman if he could assist. Within minutes he used the picture on my phone of the return label to print out in the store, affixed it to the package & texted me a receipt. His name is Sewdat & I definitely appreciate his technical abilities and promptness in helping me out & saving time. And the whole time he was courteous & happy to help. Walgreens is lucky to have a valuable employee working for them. And for anyone else who is planning on doing a Fed Ex return, it is easier if the seller includes a QR code with the return label in their email. Mine did not have one. read more

I love this location. Store is always so clean, neat and associates are very friendly. I went to pick up a couple of prescriptions, but then fell in love with other products on the sales floor. One stop shop honestly. Get my medications, buy my groceries and even office supplies I needed. Will go to this location from now on. read more

Possibly the worst pharmacy experience I've ever had. It doesn't matter if you're utilizing the drive-thru or physically going inside to pick up prescriptions, the wait time for prescriptions is atrocious. As a former pharmacy technician, I get it. However, the customer service here is just sub-par. There's no reason a prescription shouldn't be filled in 6 hours time. Hire staff and pay them correctly. read more

I agree with the person said worst pharmacy in the country. They never and I mean NEVER answer the phone unless you get a store manager to go and get them. The drive thru is hit or miss if they are open. Staff is not friendly, probably because they are over worked and under paid. Never again will I process photos here. Staff wasn't rude but they couldn't care less. Especially Nikki. Dropped photos off and was told they would be ready for pickup after 30 minutes. Returned 35 minutes later and it took another 5 minutes for Nikki to figure out that my order hadn't even started. Instead of apologizing she said that 30 minutes doesn't mean 30 minutes, it's really more like an hour. I'll stick with online services like snapfish or shutterfly from now on. This Walgreens Pharmacy has to be the absolute worst Pharmacy in the country. I have used Walgreens Pharmacies in Mineola, Deer Park, Bohemia and Patchogue over the years, and never experienced what I've had to deal with in Shirley. From waiting hours upon hours for a prescription to be filled, to the rudest, most uncaring staff of unprofessionals you can ever meet. They are snotty and sarcastic, and lack any sense of empathy towards their customers. They justify their rudeness by blaming the customers attitude, never stopping to think they are the reason for the customers attitude. Their is no one person behind the counter that even tries to be pleasant. I have finally decided to transfer my prescriptions to Deer Park where customers are treated with respect and empathy, and I don't feel intimidated by rude uncaring unprofessionals. read more

Pharmacy staff was nice, got my prescription pretty quick. Decently stocked but, not as much as other drug stores. This one seems smaller than the other location I've been to in Centereach which also happens to be open 24 hours. This location sadly is not. read more
