I've never had a large chest. I was a B at my largest. I never considered this a bad thing. I am…read morean athlete and enjoyed not having to battle my boobs as part of my workout. I also thought that as I got older I wouldn't have to worry about sagging breasts. Well, after three kids in 4 1/2 years I discovered I was wrong. I nursed all three (about 4 years over a 6 year stretch) and worked very hard to lose all of my baby weight after the last was born. I lost the weight, got into some of the best physical shape of my life but lost what little curves I had. My boobs had become saggy. Saggy skin. How does that happen? You can work on your body to get your shape back, but how do you get boobs back? I wore bikinis and couldn't fill in the smallest top. Shirts were also a challenge. I didn't fill out the "darts" in shirts made for a woman's breasts. It was difficult. After I turned 38, my youngest was now 6, I decided it was time for me to reclaim my figure. I discussed my decision with my husband and kids. My husband wanted me to know that I didn't need to do it for him. He loved me for who I was and didn't care about the size of my chest. He said I wanted my kids to understand and accept my choice. Amazingly, they were very supportive. They were mostly worried about me looking drastically different. I assured them that wasn't my intention and began my search. I searched online for the best plastic surgeons in the St. Louis area. I live on the Illinois side of the river and wanted convenience as well as excellence. I found both with Dr. Timothy Bradley, a plastic surgeon located in Swansea, IL. Everyone at the facility was very friendly, professional, and supportive. The surgery and recovery were explained thoroughly. I was shown the different types of implants and was told the size my body could accommodate, which was a large C cup. As an athlete and a mother of 3, I didn't want a drastic change. I just wanted my chest. I chose implants that were a large B to a small C. Okay, so I went a little bigger than my God-given chest . I had breast augmentation surgery the middle of March. It was very simple and easy. I did need help to make it through the rest of the day - I was pretty much out of it. After that, the healing process began. I began walking for exercise a few days after the surgery (at a little easier pace) and was back to regular exercise within a month to 6 weeks (which included running, biking, swimming, and tennis). This was important to me because I love being active. The swelling went down in my chest slowly but surely over those couple of months. By summer, I was wearing, and filling out, a bikini top. I now filled out shirts that I already had and could find new clothes because I wasn't battling a non-existent chest. It's been almost 9 months since my breast augmentation surgery, and it's a decision I do not regret and don't think I ever will. My breasts look and feel natural (my husband agrees). My new breasts make me feel like a woman again. I have a figure. Thank you to Dr. Bradley and his excellent staff for giving me back my womanly figure.

While I understand that complications can occur with any surgery, a complication occurred during my procedure and, more than two months later, I am still dealing with ongoing issues. I continue to experience bruising, swelling, tearing, discomfort, and concerns regarding the function of my eyelid. These problems have affected not only my daily life but also my ability to work. What has been most disappointing is feeling that my concerns have not been fully addressed. As a patient, I was looking for guidance, support, and reassurance while dealing with an unexpected recovery. Instead, I was left feeling frustrated and unheard during a very challenging time. I am sharing my experience so that others can make an informed decision and ask detailed questions about potential complications, recovery expectations, and post-operative care before undergoing surgery. This review reflects my personal experience and the challenges I have faced throughout my recovery.

That would work great to avoid calling the office before or after hours at missing a person to chat with, or being on hold while they're surfing, another customer, or waiting for a callback. It's the perfect means for busy people this day at age. I met with the doctor. She greeted me and went right to task communicating everything she was doing and what she was thinking through the process she was very thorough. I think because they do such a great job. They get booked quick and getting an appointment may take some time. Of course it's not an emergency in an emergency or great concern. They would get you in rather quickly. I'm glad that I found them. I trust that they are taking care of my needs and every avenue that is needed.

I have been a patient of this practice for many years, and I want to begin by recognizing the…read moreexcellent medical care I have received. Jennifer, PA, has been outstanding throughout the years. She is knowledgeable, compassionate, and one of the primary reasons I continue to come to this practice. The physicians I have seen have also been professional, caring, and highly competent. Unfortunately, my recent experience with the front office was extremely disappointing and warrants attention from management. Two days before my scheduled appointment, I received a voicemail at approximately 6:00 PM informing me that a referral was required. The following day, I contacted my primary care physician's office and learned that, for a priority referral, the dermatology office needed to contact them directly and provide specific information necessary to process the referral. I promptly left a detailed message for your office explaining exactly what my physician's office needed and specifically requested that someone contact them. I did not receive a return call, text message, or any other communication. As my appointment date approached and I still had not heard from anyone, I became concerned. On the morning of my appointment, I contacted the office again because I wanted to ensure everything was in order before making the trip. Once again, I received no response. Despite my repeated efforts to communicate and resolve the issue, I drove approximately thirty minutes to my scheduled appointment only to be asked at the front desk whether I had obtained the referral. I explained that I had left messages, contacted my physician's office, and attempted to follow up that very morning because I was concerned that no one had responded. The receptionist's response was that the office was short-staffed. While I understand that staffing challenges occur, they do not excuse a complete lack of communication with patients. When I expressed my frustration that no one had returned my calls or messages, I was essentially told that it was not the office's problem. The receptionist then abruptly ended the conversation and indicated she was done discussing the matter. My appointment was canceled and rescheduled for later this month. My frustration is not simply with one employee's attitude. The larger issue is a complete breakdown in communication. I left a detailed message the day after receiving your voicemail regarding the referral. I contacted the office again on the morning of my appointment because I had not received a response and was concerned there might be a problem. Despite these efforts, no one returned my call, responded to my message, or informed me that my appointment could not proceed without the referral. As a result, my wife and I spent time and fuel traveling to an appointment that could have been canceled or rescheduled with a simple phone call or text message. Patients should not bear the consequences of internal staffing shortages or communication failures. I fulfilled my responsibility by following up promptly. The office failed to fulfill its responsibility by communicating with me. I also requested the name of the Office Manager so I could discuss my concerns through the proper channels, but that request was ignored. I am a 67-year-old patient. I followed every instruction given to me, contacted my physician's office, left messages, followed up, and attempted to avoid exactly the situation that ultimately occurred. All I expected in return was basic communication and professional courtesy. What makes this especially disappointing is that this practice presents itself as a Christian-based practice, which is one of the reasons I chose to become a patient. Christian values include respect, kindness, accountability, and treating people with dignity. My experience on this occasion did not reflect those values. To the practice leadership: Your providers are exceptional, but poor front-office communication and unprofessional treatment of patients can damage the reputation of an otherwise excellent practice. I encourage management to review this incident carefully and address both the communication failures and the manner in which patients are treated at the reception desk. I sincerely hope these concerns are taken seriously so that future patients do not experience the same frustration and inconvenience.
