I am not one to write bad reviews because I understand no business is perfect. But, I am very frustrated with my nails. I have acrylic nails and received a refill with gel. The lady was very sweet, however, she did a very poor job. I would not recommend getting acrylics or gel here. They did not do the sides, it's super lumpy, they didn't do the tips, and the gel started to peel after two days. I spent $62 after tip. I really didn't want to pay at all because it is so bad, but I was there with a bridal party so I didn't want to cause a scene. I don't usually post a bad review but I have to share I was extremely disappointed and frustrated with how I was treated today at this nail spa! I asked for dip colors and was given the gel colors. They told me they didn't have a color to match my toes. I told them I didn't care about it matching - just something close. They brought a bottle that was clearly older polish- I know this because she painted one of my toes - and immediately went to get thinner and poured into the bottle and shook it. I then watched as she painted and it was thick and bubbly. I told her it was bubbly and didn't look good. She spoke to another person and he came over and said we don't have a matching color. I said that isn't what I asked about - I told him the polish was bubbly. He said it was because the clear coat wasn't applied yet! I replied no it doesn't usually look like that he proceeded to toss the color options around and tell me he didn't know what i wanted. I tried to share with them then another person came back leaned over my toes and said we have this color in the dip! I again said I am not worried about the color I don't like how it is drying bubbly! They were all rude and aggressive about the color! I finally just said put the top coat on! I want to be done! I won't go back there!!! You pay a lot of money for their services- if I am not happy - I want it fixed! Not again! I will take my business elsewhere!!! read more

I am obsessed with this salon after one visit. I was turned down by Taj nails and I walked in here and I waited 10-15 min because I was a walk in which is understandable. Don't sleep on the men in this industry, my nail guy Tony has my nails looking bomb! He is so sweet and I will send everyone I know to him. Make sure to book an appointment with him to guarantee he does your nails!!!! My full set with gel was only 30$ I was floored because I usually have spent 60$ minimum. I wish I could like this place since it is so close to home smh. I've been here 3 times and was seen by Tony all three times as well. The first time two of my gfs and I went in by appointment. We had to a wait a ridiculous amount of time to begin with. But how they keep you there waiting is to have you sit with your feet in water thinking you're going to be seen. 45 minutes later they started on one of my friends. Then all three of us finally were finished with the pedicures, one of my friends was told to sit by the lamps where they forgot about her. She was so heated she didn't even want to get her nails done anymore and made that clear but politely. After finishing with my other friend both of them had to wait for me to get done. Now before he started on me I asked if we would finish at the same time and he said yes. Well they waited 40 minutes for me to get done. In total we were there for over 3 hours and only had gotten basic pedis and gel nails for me and just color for my friend. We should have only been in there for max half that time. He took so long on me because he stopped every 2-max 6 minutes ago o answer the phone, talk to a customer or to ring someone out. He also did this every single time I went in after (so all three times I was seen). Now after the first time he gave me a gift card which is the only reason I gave it a second try. Well it went great and nails last muchhhh longer than the first time which was less than a week. But then the third time was like the first time. I only needed a fill which is only 3-5 dollars less than full price....he had gotten attitude and said it was because of all the steps. There actually wouldn't have been a lot of "steps" or time if he had not stopped every 1-5 minutes to answer the phone, talk to coworker or customer or look around etc. he tookkkkk forever and knew I had my kids with me that time which grew impatient after about 40 minutes for just a fill smh. So I'm good on this place. Tony should not take clients unless he's willing to provide good customer service. read more

Had the worst nail salon salon experience. I called days prior and made a nail appointment. I arrived on time and immediately felt like I was bothersome... while I waited, I had shown the man a picture of ombré nails. He told me to pick my colors but I felt the professional could help me determine based off the picture I had shown. 20 minutes later he pointed behind him, as to which there were two workers just standing there... so I looked at both and said "which one?" and they both looked at each other in confusion. I then had to explain the man instructed for me to come over for a full set. I showed the lady a photo of what I wanted. She started asking me how would she do that. Lol I had explained it was ombré, we then had some back and fourth convo about how other salons achieved this look in the past. She looked confused and called the man over... he tried to explain what she would do and at that point I said ok. As he was walking away, the women says to me "he tells you and you say ok, but I tell you and you say no" in a very rude unprofessional manner (as she gave me a dirty look). I felt so uncomfortable. During the service my finger received a cut and was bleeding... she never stopped to sanitize or wipe it. She used all of her utensils on my finger, including a buffer that she placed back in her drawer. I'm very disappointed in how my first experience at this salon went... unprofessional, rude, unsanitary and kept me waiting when I had a appointment. It's safe to say I did not get what I wanted and I will not be returning. read more

I did not even realize this little oasis was tucked away in the shopping center but I am so glad I found it through Yelp. On arrival we noticed the shop was very clean and open. Very nicely decorated in calm, relaxing colors. They have a lot of colors (both regular and gel) to choose from. We had a 6:00 appointment for 4 mani/pedis and they got us in right on time. The pedi chairs are amazing with lots of room, a little side table and varying massage! The employees were very friendly and made us feel extremely welcome even though it was probably close to the end of their day. We asked questions about wedding party appointments and they answered all of them with enthusiasm! By the end of our appt I felt like they really wanted us to return in the future. Busy day, the guy doing my feet was untrained and ripped off my toenail. He understood no English. Did not even it out and went to paint color. I complained and they said, "you tore your nail." I would not let him touch my hands. Next I asked for Lana because she speaks English, she had such an attitude,when I asked she not saw my nails back and forth, she told me to do my own nails. Nail Care in Swansea Schnucks shopping center is a great place to have a Mani or Pedi! Very clean! Remember the spoof on Seinfeld, where Elaine thought (correctly) that the Salon employees were talking about her in their own language, but she couldn't prove it? I have actually experienced that in ANOTHER salon, but NEVER in Swansea's Nail Care salon. The staff members are clean, friendly, sweet, attentive and 5 star employees! I have been here several times now and I can truly say it's the best $22 pedicure I've ever gotten. You get better service and work here than at places that charge twice as much. They are always very nice, polite and clean....no matter how busy....and that says a lot. I used to go to the expensive day spas because I thought you just got better quality, but now I don't see the point in paying so much.
