I moved to this are 18 months ago, went to a few shops until a friend recommended Tammy Nail. THE VERY BEST NAIL SHOP within 50 miles. Nick is the best but all the staff are wonderful. I love love this shop and will go no where else and recommend to everyone. Its a regular nail chop shop, nothing too special... When i came in to get my nails done, i wasnt greeted by anyone until i sat down and ws asked what service i wanted. No, hello or how are you? It was just "what service you want" The workers are also extremely soft spoken so unless you have experience going to nail salons, you wont know what theyre saying because of how soft spoken they are and the mask they wear doesnt make it better. Getting to my seat, ii noticed they didnt take the time to sanitize anything and just told me to sit down. Like i said, it was a chop shop. I asked the nail artisit if they can do a certain type of nail style and they said they can do it. During the service, my person was once again very soft spoken. I had to constantly had to ask to repeat themselves and when i did they seemed annoyed that i asked. I had to use context clues when they asked me certain questions regarding my nails, like what style, shape and nail type i wanted. The table i sat at was floating and covered in nail dust and the equipment looked shared amongst the workers, nothing was cleaned or wiped down so the residue of other clients lingered on the tools. If you care about cleanliness, i wouldnt recommend coming here. Also, the monomer they used for my acrylic set smelled rancid, it smells like dog shit. I made it a priority to scrub my hands after i got my set done cause the smelled lingered on my fingers even after i was done. The communication between the customer and nail tech isnt there, instead of telling me what to do with my hands, they pointed and if you didnt understand what they were pointing at, they would point aggresively at it again. I think the cherry on top was after i got my set done, i washed my hands and was expecting to put cuticle oil on my nails "like every other nal salon ive been too", but when i came back to my seat, they was already another client in my chair. So i had to apply my own oil and moisturizer after the harsh chemicals. Other than that, my nails turned out okay. The person i had didnt do them exactly how i wanted but they re still cute so its whatever. I understand if this is more convient for people who live in freeburg,il to get their nails done, its just a shame that another nail shop cares about money than their customers willing to support them. I say if you have the time and extra milage, defiently go the extra mileage to find a nail salon with a more friendly and cleaner enviroment. Trust me, there are some out there. I booked my appointment for a special deluxe pedicure through Facebook. I received a message confirming the appointment but followed up with a message requesting a couples appointment. I received another confirmation and left it at that. We arrived to the appointment 10 minutes early. I told the gal who greeted us that we had an appointment. She was in the middle of a manicure and told me to go sit in the empty chair. I asked her if both of us would be sitting together and she said they are busy and we can wait. I asked her if she was still going to honor our appointment time and she encouraged us to wait. We were finally seated in chairs together 13 minutes past our appointment time, but there was another chair uncomfortably close to mine with a large woman getting what appeared to be a facial, so I scooted to the opposite side of the chair for more space. The pedicures were pretty good. The guy that did mine was just a bit too rough for me, but perhaps I'm just sensitive. My husband's was not too rough at all and the gal who did his really took her time. The polish color looks great and was exactly what I asked for. My husband wasn't offered a color, but it didn't bother him. The most disappointing part was when it came time to pay. On the Facebook confirmation the price was listed as $40, but the total was $121. That math didn't add up, so I questioned it. She pointed to the board which lists a special deluxe pedicure for $55. I paid it, but I'm not happy about the price discrepancy. If I had known that when I booked I would've gone elsewhere that honors appointments and has a more comfortable atmosphere. read more

Where do I start... no one even spoke to my gf and I when we walked in. We got seated for an 11am appointment at 11:25 and that was after asking. The guy who did my friend's pedi didn't say one single word to her, literally not one. Her pedi was 15 minutes long, no exaggeration. The girl who did my pedi cut my cuticles repeatedly even after I said ow several times. They are not clean, nothing was sanitized, even the bowl I had my feet in with water felt slimy and dirty... bottom line, terrible service all around and definitely do NOT recommend! I've tried giving this place multiple chances, the few times I've let them do my nails when I was in a pinch they would then tell me my card didn't work and I would have to go to the grocery store down the street to get cash. Other times I've walked in and been completely ignored. Typically I leave here frustrated and annoyed and go to Belleville West Nail Spa. I'm usually not the type to write reviews much. But as sad as I am to say I do not recommend Tammy Nails. When I was there a few weeks ago I had what I thought was a pleasant experience. I went on a monday and it was slow so I got a walk in right away for a pedicure and the nail tech took his time which I thought was a good thing but I think he was actually (inexperienced). I have a pretty high pain tolerance and he was digging around on my toes a little bit too much and too deep with the tools. Well I ended up having to go to the after hours urgi care that following Saturday for a toe infection!! Both big toes were infected and I was put on a 10 day dose of antibiotics!! My feet are still in pain and aren't fully healed. I am super bummed because I've given tammy nails many tries. Before I've made an apt and had to wait even after the walk ins. So I'm done with tammy nails! A massive toe infection on both feet isn't worth it! Not only did I leave with a pedicure, I of course paid and I even tipped the nail tech really good because it felt good at the time but the symptoms started days later than I had to seek medical care. We sat there better than 30 minutes and didn't even get spoken to. Will not do business with them again. I guess we weren't a preferred customer. read more
