Most recently I greatly appreciated the pharmacist who counseled with me about the medication I was picking up. It was one that could cause an allergic reaction based on the health record that the Pharmacy has for me. We had a very informative conversation and he wanted to make sure I had a plan in place in case I had an allergic reaction. I felt that I would know what to do and appreciated his urging me to have a bottle of Benadryl on hand. As it turned out I did have an allergic reaction within about 45 minutes of taking it. I knew what to do and the Benadryl was effective. I feel so good having these professionals so close to where we live. They take an active interest in our health and well-being. And they have the best greeting cards!

Gateway Apothecary is a wonderful alternative if you are tired of struggling with the long lines,…read moreendless hold times, and surly staff of corporate pharmacies. In my mind they represent the antithesis of that experience. They promptly answer the phone, are always courteous, communicate very consistently and effectively, make helpful suggestions, and deliver what and when they say they will. This place is the hidden gem of pharmacies! I discovered Gateway through word of mouth, and happy…read moreto be with them, getting my prescriptions monthly without having to deal with the corporate disgruntled rude customer service you'd typically get at Walgreens and CVS (which are forever understaffed and overworked). Gateway always has stock of my monthly prescriptions, they treat you like a human, and like a neighbor, they always answer the phone, and they always have superior customer service. Wish they had an app or they digitally (or call) notified you when you're prescriptions are ready. I always have to call them to check status, and sometimes it can be multiple phone calls if the script is delayed from doctors office to pharmacy refill request. They are usually prompt and efficient regardless. Either way, I'd rather go to this friendly neighborhood pharmacy than ever have to wait in line again at a corporate-owned pharmacy competitor.

I'm new to Sally…read more Went looking for something they didn't have. They directed me to where I could get it. Then I browsed. Sally has a bunch of hair and makeup brands I hadn't heard of (and a few I had, like China Glaze and OPI). Prices are drugstore or higher. There are clearance areas. Best thing about Sally is they have an easy return policy: return within 60 (or is it 30?) days and get a full refund or exchange. That's products you tried, too. They very much encourage people to try new things but only keep it if it works out. I've already brought a few things back. No funny looks, no questions. It's great! But my favorite thing about Sally is that it's set up like a drugstore, not a Beauty Store. Things are condensed. There are not huge displays taking up space that would be better spent holding other merchandise. Doesn't feel like Ulta or Beauty Brands. I got some nail polish, mascara, and a makeup blender sponge thing on my first visit. I believe this may be the start of a long and happy business relationship.

I tried to return the items in store and they don't know how to process the return. After calling other store then calling customer service- i waited about 30 minutes while we were on hold. If they would have made the order right in the first place I would have been a happy consumer. At this point I will NEVER buy from Sally's again.

None of this "20-30 minutes" line you get at other stores where they want you to shop while you are waiting. I come in here all the time, in the evenings, on the way back to Belleville. I've preferred coming…read morein here for a while now - it's pretty clean, well stocked. I think it's a real shame though that the cashiers are quite rude. 90% of the time, these young men don't speak to you at all, not a word.. won't even look at you. And sometimes are too busy on their phones or talking to each other to do their work. It's really poor customer service. One of the younger guys reeks of alcohol, every time I go up to pay. This week, I came in and there was a very sketchy looking guy outside and he walked in when I did. He had an angry scowl on his face and stared at everyone while he just stuffed his jacket full of snacks, got a soda and walked out. The guy behind the counter looked at him and didn't say a word. It was terribly uncomfortable and this man then stood right outside the business afterwards. I've seen him a few times when I pull up and I refuse to go in now if I see him. From what I've seen, there's more police presence here at this Motomart than any other gas station around- I don't know why this is tolerated and not reported by staff. I hope I'm wrong and it has been. If it hasn't, you're putting people at risk. For such a clean, well stocked convenience store, so much work needs to be done in customer service. There is only one evening cashier, that I know of, that is very friendly and I wish I knew his name to give him a shout out. I just know he has dark hair and wears glasses - always been great.
