The other was a young girl with curly blonde hair and glasses. She must be fairly new because I'm not sure that I've seen her there before. The line was long - about 4 customers in front of me and, eventually, another 4 or 5 behind. When it was my turn, I requested a pack of cigarettes. She retrieved and scanned them and then asked for my ID. I was a little surprised but thought it must be a new policy. As I was getting my wallet to show her my ID, she said, "If you don't have it I can't sell them to you, and then called out, NEXT." I showed her my ID and paid for my cigarettes. I had to laugh. I'm 68 years old, so it's not even a close call. I understand that some stores have this policy and it has nothing to do with my apparent age. At one time, this store had a policy of asking for ID from everyone, but they haven't done so in years. As I was leaving, another patron made a comment about the absurdity. The cashier then shouted at me, "Don't come back again without your ID!" ?? The ID she had just look at? I explained that I'm not usually carded there and asked if I was a new policy. I believe she said, "Yes." I was not happy with her rudeness and lack of professionalism. When I asked her name, she rattled off something intelligible and refused to repeat it.

Their location makes them very convenient, it's just too bad their front lot is so tight (you can park on either side or in the back lot.) They have some great pricing on some things (beer, smokes, candy) yet not as great on chips and sodas. They have very good coffee and feature Paul's Donuts and some other good looking snack-food items which, even though I have not tried them, do seem to be popular. Regardless, the main point of a gas station is gas after all, and they are usually the first station in this area to lower the price.

The food that was sitting in the tray was thrown away because it had been over 20 minutes. I was in shock but appreciative. The aroma when you walk inside makes you feel as if you have walked into your families home for Sunday dinner, it smelled that good. The chicken flats (spicy) were outstanding. The mashed potatoes & gravy were divine and the mac-n-cheese needed a tad more seasoning but it was good. The cook was so sweet. My girlfriend has a prescription for something that's often not in stock, so we called early to make sure that they'd have it when we got there. They called on Thursday to say that the prescription was ready, but when we showed up on Friday, after doing something in the back for maybe 5-10 minutes, they said that they don't have it in stock and couldn't help us. After we told them that we'd called in advance and they told us that they'd order it, and they they'd called us the previous day to tell us that it was ready, they found that they had it after all, but that it wasn't ready, so they had to do a bunch more stuff in the back to get it. I get that it's a hassle to handle special-case stuff, but if they didn't have it ready, why did they call on Thursday to tell us that they have it ready? We also picked up photos here, but some of the photos were defective. It was pretty clearly a printing error (part of the photo just failed to print and came out faded). The photos are digital, so there's no way it was a problem on our end -- they just screwed up the printing. And I guess they don't care enough to fix it, so we wasted our money on the photo print here.
