Idk if that's a bad thing? But these errands gave me a chance to sight-see and explore Belleville on my terms. I enjoyed the ride. Such a cute, little town. Anyway, I arrived at Hideg mid-afternoon, after my x-rays at Memorial. I walked right into the clean facility and was greeted by a young pharmacy tech, Nick. I gave him my referral and my insurance card. During light conversation, he measured my calves and ankles. Next, he brought over two options for compression socks from the brand, Jobst Activewear. Further, he explained that he actually wears a pair himself and gave me an honest opinion about the socks. He instructed me on the handle and care as well. I appreciate when customer service is served on a platter - Nick did just that. He took his time to explain the product and didn't take advantage. Kudos to the boy! I made my choice and Nick told me how my insurance would work concerning this purchase. After signing my life away, he bagged me up and I was out the door. Hideg is really nice pharmacy. Saw a couple of workers up front who didn't greet me nor offered any assistance. Felt like I was entering a locked down unit. Entry doors are bifold (haven't seen those in forever). The parking lot is ample and well lit . They have gift cards and greeting cards. They also stock many convenience items like snacks, soft drinks, beer and wine . We have used their photo counter to make prints for our elderly family members. I have only begun to mention the inventory which includes makeup and family planning items. The pharmacy staff is extremely busy and is very helpful. High staff turnover and supply chain issues have made for some challenges lately so make a point of double checking prescriptions prior to leaving.

I said she didn't have to be so rude and she proceeded to raise her voice and tell me again reading is fundamental. I got home and called Walgreens to report a complaint. Not knowing the name of the manager they proceeded to have a female manager from that store call me. WHY? You were aware it was a female manager I had the complaint about, didn't know her name, yet you proceeded to have a female manager call me back. How do I know it wasn't that same manager. I'm done with Walgreens. I've been with Walgreens since I was in my teens. No more since they allow their staff to belittle the customers and don't take it seriously. Shame on Walgreens. I'll find a small family owned pharmacy as I'm sure they'll treat me better.
