Used the app to pay ahead for my rx- convenient right!? Nope. Paid ahead. And paid again when I picked up (unbeknownst to me) I watched it as a pending charge thinking that it may not go through. Well it posted. I called the store. I was told to call back and ask for the manager in 3 days. I did just that. She seemed convinced that I didn't know what I was talking about. Man-splained what a pending vs posted charge meant on my checking account. told me that I needed to bring in my bank statement to show the $10 charge twice. No thank you. I've already worked too hard for your mistake. I brought my phone which showed both charges posted. Once on the day I paid and once on the day I picked it up. About 4 days apart. The receipt even said rx# and it matched! I just wasn't excited that I was being made to feel like I was the inconvenience to her or the store. I had to drive back to the store for $10. She ended up handing me cash and keeping the receipt. Shew. Never using the pay ahead option again. read more

Just called pharmacy to see to check on home covid test. I ordered them yesterday and the recorded message kept saying it was being processed call back in an hour. So this morning i waited until the pharmacy was open at 9:30am and called. The girl who answered was rude and completely unprofessional, even hung up on me at the end. Wow! I called back to speak to the manager but she answered again and hung up on me AGAIN. needless to say I am done with them. I already moved our monthly prescriptions to Harris Teeter. read more

I placed an online order today. Purchased 4 toys. When the order got delivered by the Dasher, one item was missing, the store employee on the phone was rude and impatient. Suggested that I got the missing item or didn't know what I was talking about. It's a $9.17 toy I'm talking about. Said he was going to call me back after the store manager checked the security tapes. I asked him to ask the Dasher to check his car because both bags had the handles ripped off, and if the store employee was so certain they packed the item. He responded like I was bothering him. The Dasher soon came back with the missing item, and when I asked where it was, he said he bought another one for me because it's Christmas and this kind of customer service is unacceptable and he did not want to argue with the store employees! After receiving my first covid vaccine shot at a state run event on 1/24/21 I scheduled my second at the Selbyville De Walgreens for 2/23/21. As a Walgreens online member my appointment was accepted and confirmed. Last evening I received a call from the Selbyville Walgreens that their expected supply of vaccine had not arrived and unfortunately my appointment could not be kept. Too bad, but I could understand their dilemma and would accept a new appointment for the near future. I was then told that Walgreens management has now made the decision that unless the first dose was given by them they will not honor appointments for the second dose. This after 4 weeks of believing based on their confirmation that I could rely on Walgreens to honor their commitment. Had I known I could have spent that time seeking out a venue for my second dose. They have cut me loose with a "good luck" farewell IMHO Walgreens has failed as a trusted health care provider. This decision was capricious and made without regard for the welfare or respect for their patrons. Shame on you Walgreens. read more

Painful. Almost every time, either location on 54. I go in for cigs and the occasional item or 2. Damn near every time it's an ordeal. It's never a problem for me, directly, but always a cashier confusion or a patron who's never been in a retail outlet before. Today was a "normal" experience for me. I walked in behind a guy, and we both had to negotiate our way around a lady standing in the door reading a flyer. He walks by the counter towards the sodas as I approach the counter. He yells to the cashier that he needs cold medicine that's kept behind the counter. Instead of taking care of me, at the counter, she starts a search for his medicine while he continues shopping. He comes back finally. No, not that one. Next.. No, not that one. Which one is cheaper? No, not that one. Ok, that'll do. She then asks for his drivers license. He's stunned. Back and forth, back and forth, finally. I've been here. I buy my Claritin this way and have been thru the spank machine several times. Customer doesn't fathom "hit accept". Did I mention I'm here for just a pack of cigs? Finally the line behind me has gotten long enough for the chant to come over the loud speaker "I see 3! I see 3!". Minutes later a cashier appears and I get my smokes. This isn't a one time deal... This visit is indicative of every time I go in there. read more

We are locals, get all our meds and many other items at this Walgreens on a regular basis. The staff are GREAT! They are overworked and unappreciated during this pandemic. They are here for you in spite of your impatience and sometimes rude behavior. Try a little kindness. read more

Walgreens is a national chain, right? So imagine my surprise when I filed a prescription, came back, only to find "we don't take your kind of insurance?" To make matters worse, I got lectured on not having cleared my voicemail so they couldn't call and tell me. It's not my responsibility to be open to know when a pharmacy sucks. To make matters worse, the pharmacist was not at all apologetic and tried convincing me that other pharmacies in the area were about to close. Actually, no. I ended up going to the CVS in Ocean City, filed my prescription and it was filled within 10 minutes, WITH my insurance accepted. I might have also been more accepting if the pharmacist had at least acted like she wanted to be there. Especially in a medical related situation, it would be nice to have people with positive attitudes. read more

This location is convenient but it's a small Walgreens. They generally have what I usually buy at any Walgreens - soda, paper goods, cosmetics, toothpaste and other items for an extended stay at the shore. The issue is with checkout. It takes way too long whether you are first in line or tenth. The cashiers don't seem to understand how to use Walgreens Balance Rewards as payment or coupons - paper or digital - or have any idea of customer service. All they have to do is be aware of a few processes and scan the items ! But they are slow in scanning and bagging. I will drive a bit further to the Walgreens by Food Lion if I have coupons as this Walgreens is just too frustrating. Oh and don't go at night because the patrons of the bar next door (High Stakes) will harass you in the parking lot. read more
