This is a nice independent drug store in the middle of Rehoboth Beach. It is great for anything you may need while enjoying the beach:

CVS is our go to for bandaids and they has a great selection. We like the heavy duty ones and got some water proof ones too in case we swim tomorrow. Store was clean. Service was pretty normal. One guy seemed to take charge when he came up front which was nice. The one cashier was not directing anyone to use self checkout or help the line move.

Most of the "entrenched" staff and especially the Head Pharmacist at this store simply don't give a damn about their customers. It trickles down from the top it seems. While waiting and observing them struggling to apply a drug manufacture's discount coupon I constantly hear them brazenly complain about customers - in front of other customers! The things they say about drive-up customers behind the scenes is very telling of their overall bad attitude. Condescending, disrespectful, and judgmental comments abound and they think us folks waiting inside don't hear them - or they simply don't care. Every time I go in to pick up a prescription I see the same bad attitudes and hear the same complaints about their customers and who has to handle drive-up customers...etc. ...etc. I went there once to pickup a prescription through the drive through on my e-bike (which looks like a motorcycle) and was told "We cannot provide service to people who come through the drive-up on a BIKE."(?) So they won't serve you on a motorcycle through the drive-up either now?!! Are they just making the rules up based on who there has to handle serving the drive-up customers and that person's current bad attitude? Unbelievable! They DO NOT like to process Rx discount coupons for sure. It looks like there is only one person here that knows how to process them and if they are out or on a break you're SoL. I can't believe CVS corporation allows these nasty condescending "holier-then-thou" jerks to not only treat customers this way but also represent the company!! You get and deal with what you pay for I guess. Finding a new pharmacy that actually serves customers more appropriately.

I waited nearly two weeks for Walgreens to fill my prescribed blood pressure medication with no…read morereal explanation for the delay. This medication is essential and time-sensitive, and going this long without it created a serious and unnecessary risk to my health. When I finally called to ask why it was still not filled, the interaction with the pharmacy became tense, and afterward they informed me they would not fill my medication at all. Refusing to dispense an essential medication after delaying it for this long is unsafe and unacceptable. At minimum, a pharmacy should transfer the prescription so the patient can obtain their medication somewhere else. That did not happen here. Patients who rely on critical medications should be aware of this experience. I will not be using this Walgreens pharmacy again.

As I waited in the front where…read morethere was no employee around, finally an older man (wanted to say gentleman but he wasn't) finally showed up. I explained what happened, had the order on my phone and he said "we do not exchange or refund any orders made online" . I couldn't understand so I asked him again why is that and he said something with the system. Either way I did not appreciate his attitude towards me. It was rude and dismissive. I left because I do not have time to deal with rude management. I immediately called the 1800 number and complained. I just went on the website and confirmed what I was told on the phone "What is the Walgreens.com return policy? Eligible items purchased at Walgreens or on Walgreens.com may be returned or exchanged at any Walgreens store within 30 days of purchase date and must be accompanied by the original receipt or Order number. Your satisfaction is 100% guaranteed on all Walgreens brand products! If you are not completely satisfied, return the unused portion to a local Walgreens or Duane Reade store and we will refund the full price including shipping." Do your job if not find a job that does not deal with customers. Everyone has a bad day, but being disrespectful is never ok.

Must the lost & confused look that always seems to be plastered on my face. Lol To the whiny, self-important, entitled reviewers below. Reach down and pull on your big girl panties and shut up. 1. Pharmacists are not customer service reps. They are highly skilled medical professionals with a job that if done incorrectly could cost lives. So no. They should not take a break from filling their long list of orders (phone, online, in-person, drive thru) to go ring you out at the register, because you're so special - in your own eyes. Melissa K., I doubt you were ever a pharmacy tech, sunshine. Or if so, it's obvious why they canned your dumb arse. Do you bitch at your doctor when you have to wait longer for an appointment? 2. So what if a cashier is helping another customer, delaying you a bit. You just proved you're a lot higher maintenance , biotch Do you people hear yourselves? I'm embarrassed for you.

Folks, getting scrips filled here is or can easily make your life much harder than it already is. And if your health requires regular refills... God help you. Don't be a masochist. Please move your scrips. A little background: Suddenly there was a flag on my refills where there wasn't before, along with a whole new/foreign PRIMARY INSURANCE listed (??!!) & my actual and only insurer was dunked to secondary. 1. You can't call & talk to these folks when it works for you. Oh, "we're a digital store. We don't take calls. Only do call backs." Translated: when it's good for them. God forbid if you have to schedule your breaks or have coworkers you'd like to be considerate of. Message heard: they and their time are more important than the patients and their time, not to mention health. 2. When my insurance carrier called the store to clear up the issues, their calls also went to voicemail. 3. These weren't new scrips. They were processed correctly with no hitches numerous times. WTF?! Even when confronted with the obvious in their system and with my insurance company repeatedly confirming they have no flags on these refills, and see no reason for any issues, the now-infamously poor performing CVS Lewes Pharmacy staff looks at ME for the solution. 4. A call to the CVS corporate relations line yielded no chance at the Lewes store, but the very nice agent after working on this for an hour with me, and after multiple calls to the store about their responses that just aren't jiving, she at least reassured me that it was NOT ME. And she concurred that the best thing is do is transfer what I can to another store, and to run, run and don't look back. Lol. Lost cause. Stick a fork in 'er!
