I called in a refill for some Birth control and asked the pharmacist if it was the right dosage and she just put it in. I picked it up and it was my old dosage. Now I can't return it and I don't know if my insurance will cover my right prescription. Just don't go to this location. read more

The actual store is very clean and the associates are friendly, however this review is specifically for the pharmacy. I have this pharmacy set as my preferred pharmacy for my toddler daughter and myself and each time I have experienced the following constant issues: long wait times in store and drive thru, not enough pharmacists or registers to customers, no communication regarding prescription status, and rude employees. This is the last time that I get any prescriptions filled at this location. My experience today was the last straw. My toddler daughter has been dealing with some congestion and a lingering cough so her doctor called in a prescription for her that was supposed to be ready that afternoon. I received no calls from the pharmacy regarding if my prescription was ready to pick up so I called my doctors office frustrated THE NEXT MORNING thinking they didn't call it in. I should have known this was not the case, because I have had no issues from the pediatrician or staff. I was informed that the prescription was indeed called into the Walgreens Pharmacy on East Ovilla in Red Oak. I called Walgreens and the lady that answered the phone was polite and informed me the prescription was ready but they needed a phone number on file. It definitely should have been on file since this is the only pharmacy we have used. I proceeded to give her the phone number so that she could update her records. Now, to the most frustrating part of my experience. I shouldn't have had to wait 35 mins to pick up two prescriptions and then another 10 mins for a consult asking me " do you have the machine for the medicine " I had already told the salesperson when she asked me that I had the machine so that 10 minutes was a complete waste of my time and the other customers that were in line waiting patiently. It also seems like the staff gets irritated when using GoodRx coupons. One of the pharmacists that came over to explain an issue that I had with the pricing for one of the medications was the rudest of all. She had no people skills and had an attitude the whole time when I was just trying to get clarity. The other pharmacist checking me out explained it much better than she did so she definitely could have stayed where she was if she was going to be rude and not helpful. I even heard her talking to another customer that approached the counter and she was just as rude and loud with them as well. No worries, because I am leaving this review here and on Google. This is the definite last time I come to this Walgreens pharmacy for anything period! I will still visit the store and get what I need but skip the pharmacy for sure. Really wish I could rank the store and pharmacy differently. read more

Called Walgreens yesterday about my prescription that was on back order. The lady checked on it was able to order it and told me to call back the next day to ensure it did come in. I called back and I got the same person and it did come. She placed the order and said I would get a call once the prescription is filled. I received a text 15 minutes later! When I got to the inside pharmacy only one person was in line ahead of me. Walgreens was able to get my medicine that was on back order for three months! I didn't get the lady name that helped me but thank you Walgreens! read more

As Tyra Banks said "It is so bad, I want to give you a zero. But that's not possible- so I give you a one" Got my wisdom teeth pulled- got the automated phone call about prescriptions being ready. Head over- they are still "processing one" and I wait, and wait and wait. My numbing wears off. I'm pacing around in absolute agonizing pain throughout the store. Go back check on the status- still nothing. Wait, wait, wait, pace, pace, pace. I was there for about 2 HOURS. At this point I'm thinking- I want to go home. Finally got them and called it a day. Anyway, fast forward a week and a half later to yesterday getting the rest of my wisdom teeth pulled. I hoped for a better experience and sent my prescriptions there again. I called the store number and got an automated message letting me know my prescriptions were being processed. Kept calling, same response. By 7-9pm still called a number of times and got the "your last prescription is being processed." By this point I'm tired, hungry post-op, in pain and so stressed. The pharmacy closed and I had to go to bed like that. Wake up today in pain- called this morning- the automated machine said one was still being processed. I decide to go in and pick whatever's ready. I go in, let a lady go first- wait a couple minutes and just as I'm going to the counter ready to get my prescriptions- the lady goes "sorry, please wait for someone to come help you and walks away" The whole back counter was full of technicians walking around, talking to each other or putting stuff away- there was only one other couple already being tended to but No one came to the register. At this point I'm so upset, confused and in pain. I lost all sense of patience and just walked away. Called my dental office and requested they send it somewhere else. Went to the corner of Happy & Healthy in RED OAK, TX. Showed the clerk the OTC medication the doctor now wants me take? The pharmacist returns from the back and advises me they don't carry it. Okay, do you know where I might purchase or find this OTC medication, that they keep behind the counter? No, she doesn't know, and doesn't offer to order it for me. This is the only place I use for prescriptions because of our BCBS Insurance plan. I left Walgreens at the corner of Unhappy & Unhealthy in RED OAK, TX.. Next off to CVS ! read more

This review is for the pharmacy. This is not a 24 hour pharmacy location for Walgreens; but I have found there to be above average service and general retention of staff which has made for better continuity of care than I have experienced at some other pharmacies over the last 3 years. We've had our flu vaccines done here twice with little wait time. I much prefer this drive through or the inside line to any waiting I've done at other Walgreens, CVS or Costco in the area. If you do have a card selection to check out, they are happy to do it or other smaller purchases in addition to any prescriptions you may pick up. I do wish the pharmacy was open later than 6 p.m. on Saturdays and Sundays as they have been in the past. I always find their staff to be helpful, although some are more knowledgeable than others. read more

Poor customer service. My pharmacy closed and sent everyone to Walgreens. When I called my refill in, the guy didn't have a clue about it, so transferred me to a pharmacist. After holding for 20 minutes, I called back, complained, and ended up waiting another 20 to talk to someone who had to set me up. Got a text the next day at 1:12 that my prescription was ready. Arrived in the drive thru, waited a few minutes and was greeted with a sign that they were closed for lunch. Went inside and was told the same. Maybe stagger the break? Maybe help the people already in line before shutting down? First impression isn't good. read more

Horrible pharmacy. Staff is very short. Call time, lobby and drive line is always backed up. Several medications are out of stock, but if you question if they have it they get an attitude. A person needs to know if the location has it before they wait hours for medication. read more

INEXCUSABLE INCOMPETENCE!!! Walked up to the pharmacy counter handed the woman a sheet of paper with the name of the specific eye drops that I needed for my wife. She confirmed for me that they had that item in stock & to come back in one hour. An hour later I came back and they then told me they made a mistake and did not have it in stock. I ask the pharmacy pharmacist to call around to see if any of their other facilities had that in stock. He checked with one of their stores that was 26 miles away and confirmed that they did in fact have it in stock and they would hold it for me. As I pulled into the parking lot this second Walgreens pharmacist the first one called me back to tell me that the second Pharmacy also made a mistake and they too do not have it in stock. I gave this store one star only because that's the lowest. If I could give a zero I certainly would! read more

Well I just left there with the most unfriendly people understand that I caught you just as you opened up and I was the first one there but waited 30 minutes for my prescription and no Smiles no nothing and I work in customer service also and you have to be friendly whether you want to or not and I will not bring my prescription back to this store ever again I will go across the street to Walmart or across the street to CVS hopefully you'll smile at the next customer and say thank you come again or just speak. read more

This is a very nice Walgreens. It is much cleaner, brighter, and well laid out compared to others I have been to. The parking lot is large and kept clean as well. This place is a good alternative to go in for a few small items instead of having to go to the Walmart across the street. read more
