5 STARS ***** Walgreens on Gail Gardner Road in Prescott, AZ always has what I need for the most reasonable price - it's a clean, tidy, and well-stocked store, along with a very friendly & helpful staff. I go in there regularly, as my OneAZ bank is next door and my Natural Grocers store is across the street. The experience I've had in that Walgreens store is one of the best of any pharmacies I've ever been in, and I ought to know. The worst pharmacy I've ever went to. Moved here in July 2024. They treat you like a piece of crap. Like you are interrupting them. I've been sent notices that my prescriptions are ready drive 30 miles into town go pick them up only to be told it isn't ready. "Oh I'll have to print out the script and put it on order!" I said, "I got a notice it was ready. So I drove into town to pick it up!" "Well I can't give you something we don't have, you know what I mean! We will order it! Check with us tomorrow." A day or two later I call to check. "No we don't have that in stock we will need to print out the script and order it." What do they do with my script? Do they give my order to someone else? This keeps happening. I've waited three weeks for the Libre Sensor to be filled. I transferred everything to Safeway and it was filled in 30 minutes, oh and they were nice. read more

So I just purchased a $500 Apple gift card there last night and was talking about a fraudulent one I purchased at Circle K down the road a few months back with the clerk. Strangely enough the useless woman had training on this and pointed out what could be the problem (resealed strip which is harder to remove upon scanning), noticed it with the one she picked out for me and still went ahead with the purchase anyways. As it turns out when I went in tonight to try to redeem one that wasn't already used by some scammer, the supervisor told me that she instructed her not to sell it to me yet she still did anyways. These people are immensely incompetent slaves who work for these scandalous corporations that do absolutely nothing to resurrect themselves on fault. Despite the imbecile selling the gift card against the manager's approval and therefore wasting $500 of my money (which it seems intentional, don't you think?) the inept manager did absolutely nothing about it for her insubordinate's willful disregard. These people have zero integrity nor to these companies. Don't buy one from them or any store for that matter because you might get screwed over as I have the second time. The pharmacy here is sooooo understaffed. The place is closed a lot. Like all weekend, and mostly times that the working public needs them open. Walgreens Prescott Valley sucks --- don't even deserve 1 star. Items not priced correct, coupons don't work and the Pharmacy is a Joke. They mess up my order every time. If you can find someplace else to get your vaccines, get them ELSEWHERE! Walgreens requires you to make your vaccine appointments online, but when you go in, you are required to enter your paperwork again because the clerks say the store doesn't communicate with the website at all. They also said no to giving me one of the vaccines I MADE THE APPOINTMENT ONLINE FOR. This place is where you go to waste your time and nothing else at all. read more

THIS IS A ZERO STAR REVIEW: Two of the rudest human beings that I've ever come across in the 21 countries that I've stepped foot in and lived in over the years work in the store. I actually tried to reach the CEO Roz Brewer but she never got back to me. Twice in under 3 weeks I've walked into this building and have been treated like a piece of garbage. Even today a very calm Martha who was trying to help me ignored this nasty woman who I believe is called Catherine (or Christine) who was treating me with complete and utter disrespect. Absolutely terrible. Waited weeks after multiple submissions for a prescription refill. Doctor confirmed they received it, but it was never filled. Tried calling three times to both the front and back of the store with no answer and 20 minutes on hold. Go ANYWHERE else, because they are not interested in you or your health. read more

The "most senior" new pharmacist at Walgreens is incredibly rude, seriously needs some more training on the medication she is providing, and in customer service. I went to pick up my Zoloft prescription that was sent to Walgreen days ago. The woman at the window, I believe Megan, told me that she didn't know what had happened but the prescription had not been filled. She turns to the pharmacist for direction. The pharmacist tells her I have to return tomorrow to get it filled because they close in 15 minutes. Okay, no big deal. I understand. So I simply ask if I could have 1 or 2 because I'm having withdrawals from the Zoloft. The nice lady Megan turns again to the pharmacist who ignorantly tells her to tell me that there's no such thing and you cannot have withdrawals from Zoloft. This absolutely infuriated me because that could not be further from the truth. It's so wrong and unethical to lie about this. And as a pharmacist, she should know better. Not only have I been warned about withdrawals from my Psychiatrist, but also withdrawals are clearly stated on www.nami.org, multiple other sources that include Harvard. Plus, Zoloft is a common prescription. truly I cannot believe this. If bridging my medication was something she could not do, that's fine. She could have said that. But lying is not ok. And hold on, it gets worse. She comes to the window, snatches (and I mean SNATCHES) the phone from Megan, to double down and tell me that there are no withdrawals. I again try to explain to her that yes there is, this is common knowledge, and she cannot tell me that I'm not having any, as I sit there feeling nauseous, dizzy, light headed, hot and sweaty. She again argues with me and says I'll have to come back tomorrow because they're closing in 15 and she doesn't have time, won't fill it or even give me 1 to hold over. I explain to her that I understand, however, they have had this prescription for a few days now and I'm just asking for literally 1 and I asked very very nicely. Anyway, she continues to be incredibly rude and said in the absolute most rude and condescending tone I have ever heard, that "if I want my medication that bad, I can go to the one in PV because they're open later". This seriously pissed me off. It's never okay to speak to someone that way. I asked for her supervisor and she said she was the most senior pharmacist and there was no one above her. I told her to not speak to me like that (even though she continues and is incredibly rude). At this point, due to the absolute rudeness, I tell her that I need at least one because they have had my prescription for days. She goes on to say it's because they didn't have my insurance - however, I never got a call or any type of notification, (They have my information), I've never used insurance to purchase Zoloft, and Not my job, not my problem. Calling has always been standard for Walgreens. In addition to this, she yells at me to "go inside, and "get out of her drive through" because she's trying to get out of there and go home" (I'm not joking or exaggerating). Truly, this woman is something else. Normally I'm incredibly patient and empathetic to workers, never the type of person to stay right before closing and have complete respect for this, but her tone, attitude, and straight lie was completely unacceptable and unethical. The manager told me to F myself(no kidding!) when it took two hours to fill my order. Then he in front of staff and customers stated that I was probably just needing my fix of Hydrocodone. After 3 surgeries it was true. But also against the law for him to state that. His was Black with braided hair. He gave me his card and said go ahead and complain to corporate they aren't firing anyone these days. Laughed and walked off. I lost his card but he had an African name but obviously had been in the country most of his life. I have Switched to CVS. Walgreens can F themselves. Walked into the empty store. Two employees half way down the first aisle said "Hello!" "Hello!" I replied, and made a mental note on 'points for friendliness.' Then the older employees called out "Do you have an appointment?" Partially stunned, and confused, I stopped, paused for a moment and asked "Oh. Are you not open?" After a short awkward silence she answered "Ah... nah... I was just messin' with ya." Oooooooo- kay. I walked around the store to find the liquor department. They don't have one at this Walgreens. Everything else looks exactly like the Walgreens close to downtown. Except the aisles are very wide. And they seem to have much less merchandise on the shelves. Huh. read more

The pharmacy staff here needs to be trained or perhaps retrained on how to use the express pay service/skip the line services. I have the app on my phone I use it as needed. I skipped the line and went to the designated register for this service and was told it's not any faster and asked for all my information instead of scanning the barcode that was generated for the prescription. This has been a repeated issue here!! I moved up here from Marana and the Dove Mtn. pharmacy staff is well trained on the app and the provided services and I did not have a problem picking up prescriptions. Relating to the pharmacy this is probably my 4th trip to the pharmacy and 4 out of 4 times I've come to fill my prescription something has gone wrong. Big thumbs down. Today the problem was with Don the pharmacist, very nice, very courteous, however, he informed me they are not able to fill prescriptions with a brand name because of their distributor. My insurance coverage covers brand name Walgreens does not provide brand-name medication per Don the pharmacist.I will not refill or start new prescriptions here or shop here. read more

Incompetent doesn't even begin to cover this place. I used to fill my prescriptions here but switched to the Chino Valley Pharmacy because of such rudeness, the need for multiple trips for the pharmacy, long wait times, ridiculous issues, etc. So I was seen at an urgent care on a Wednesday evening and because of the need to get an antibiotic initiated the NP sent the prescription over to Walgreens so I could start that night...the pharmacist said no such dose existed and they would need to clarify...umm it was electronically sent over...the computer wouldn't in theory wouldn't accept the order unless everything was correct...Thursday I check again, they have not heard from the urgent care, I need to call over...Friday still nothing so I call my primary care provider and get her involved. I hear from her Saturday and she calls the prescription in and I'm then notified by the store there is an insurance issue. I call my insurance and they will not pay for the prescription because I filled it ON WEDNESDAY!!! Umm...isn't this insurance fraud? Went to Walgreens to the drive thru, another car ahead of me, waited for my turn. Drove to the window and they dropped the blinds. What!? Rang the buzzer and nothing. Was getting ready to drive off in tears and this gentleman in a car drove up and honked his horn at me, was the guy ahead of me. He said he told them I was behind them in line. Told me I should go inside and ask for a manager, which I did. Which was useless, she defended the actions of her staff. I ended up going to the Prescott Valley location (thank you so very much Chris and Ashley) I explained the situation and got out of there within a half hour with my antibiotic. read more

Went to this Walgreens after spending 30 minutes at the Sheldon St Walgreens and being told by Allison at 149 pm that she was closing at 2pm and we would need to return the next day to get our flu shots after filling out our paperwork. The pharmacist at this location was so nice and professional. She was very busy at the counter, drive thru customers and phone calls. She took really good care of us. Pharmacy clerks are not friendly nor helpful. Only went to this Walgreen's because my doctor is in the area, usually go to PV Walgreens. Waited for an hour to pickup Rx, was told couldn't scan my script, "come back in a half hour or hour" so I did. Daughter is going to college in Prescott. Transferred her prescription to this store. She shows up to pick up the pharmacist starts talking with her to let her know they don't have what she needs. Walks away for 25 minutes she continues to stand waiting for him to finish up. He sees her the whole time, finally walks back over and ask if she needs anything else, she states she was waiting for him to finish with her. He states ohhh I was done.
