She then claimed that I had never signed her terms and conditions, yet proceeded to try to hold me to those exact terms when it benefited her. You cannot claim a customer never agreed to your terms and then selectively enforce them after the fact. She is also citing the $100 non-refundable deposit. A deposit is intended to protect the business from customer cancellations or no-shows--not to allow the business to keep someone's money after the business itself fails to show up. I paid for a service I never received and was then forced to argue over a refund she had already offered. Extremely unprofessional from start to finish. I would absolutely not recommend booking with her.

When other clients came in, her manner toward me changed, which made the experience even more unsettling and upsetting. I stayed because I needed my hair done before my event, but I left feeling upset and traumatized, and the result was not what I had asked for either. If my late arrival was a problem, I would have understood being told she could no longer take the appointment. No one should be treated roughly or unkindly in this way. I do not recommend her services and will be warning all my friends in town and out of town about my experience.

Last year for prom, hair and make up was a disaster so I knew I had to come here this year for my senior prom. Leah and Allison did hair and make up for my cousin's wedding and the bridesmaids (and me as the flower girl) were stunning and no ones hair or makeup came lose or got messy from doing it at 7am to after the wedding driving home at 11pm. I knew that this had to be the place for my look for prom. Boy was I right!! Leah's daughter, Allison, did my hair and make up for prom and I couldn't have been happier with the outcome! I ran 20 minutes late and was stressed out that I might miss my appointment but she was so flexible and didn't rush me at all once I got there. Allison was constantly asking to make sure everything looked okay and if I wanted anything different to make sure it met my standards and they definitely exceeded them! My appointment was at 11 and my hair stayed until I jumped in the pool at 12 after prom! The braid never came loose and I got more compliments that night than I could ever imagine. It was definitely a night to remember forever and I couldn't have done it without the bomb make up and hair!! Apparently, they had me scheduled for 1:00. JESSICA said the salon never calls clients when they are 5-10 minutes late - they just cancel them. She had no client in her chair and didn't tell me why she couldn't take me for a simple trim on a simple, non layered bob cut albeit a little late. I rescheduled, but felt there was little care for clients. After a moment, I decided to cancel that appointment and said that I was outside for 20 minutes and if someone had called or texted, I could have walked right in. She, in her distant, saccharine soaked voice said, I'm busy - good luck finding another salon. I did find another salon - one who assured me that if a client is running late they call or text to see if they are on the way, ESPECIALLY first time appointments, like mine, in case they are having trouble finding the salon. It took my new stylist 20-25 minutes for a wash and a beautiful bouncy trim. I left it air dry into beach waves today. I have an appointment next week for a color session to help me grow into my grey in a blended way and will get the works. Having a home in San Diego and one here, I was disappointed when my regular stylist moved away from the area. I am glad I found a great stylist and will be very motivated to keep her happy as well, via my tipping. As the parent of a daughter in the industry, in San Diego, I have learned from her that a 20% tip for a stylist compared to 20% for a meal at a restaurant is not equal. A stylist spends a LOT of time on you herself. I agree and tip based on time which is higher than the expected standard. I wish JESSICA luck, knowing it will take her 3 clients at least to equal one of my tips.
