Convenient and close from home and work , nice, clean, organized and friendly employees

Had to choose a different pharmacy due to rite aid closing. Today I called in to refill a prescription and instead of being helpful the female that I talked to was very rude and condescending. She used "obviously", which if it was obvious I wouldn't have to ask. Will not return!! read more

If I could give zero stars I would. They are understaffed and it takes an act of God to get a prescription. I have moved all my prescriptions. I will miss the staff. Really nice bunch of people. read more

Overall it's a good store. It's clean, the staff is nice, and they have good sales at times. This review is for the store and not the pharmacy. I avoid it due to the bad reviews. The downside is the under staffing. GET MORE STAFF. At times they get so busy and they have only 1 person cashiering. Despite that, I've seen the cashiers handle upset customers in a great manner. Also, the parking is horrible when Porterville High School kids get out of school. I don't know why every parent thinks using a store parking lot is the best place to pick up their kids. It's annoying and makes parking difficult. Other than that it's a good store. Cleaner than CVS most of the time. read more

If you ever have a chance to go to any other pharmacy in Porterville, other than Walgreens. Please do so every time I've gone to this store and obviously from the. Reviews, I've seen on this store and my personal experience. Their pharmacy is the slowest and the rudest people I've ever dealt with. If you go through the drive through and they're helping somebody inside, they will not stop helping somebody inside. They will ignore you in the drive through. They'll look you sit there in your car running like an idiot, not knowing whether they've seen you or haven't seen you. And when you ask them a question, they'll basically do everything and hold it the middle finger. They don't quite do it that bad, but they would like to. You could totally tell by the snarl. On their face, and this is just about the pharmacy not to. Mention the staff that's inside the staff inside backs them up on ever said. They're just as rude obnoxious. As that pharmacy the store, I don't understand how it's still in business. And I would be just as happy to see it leave. To me. Hoagy's heroes was the best thing happening in that area, and they took it out. To put this really c***** Walgreens in that was a very, very big mistake. I wish Hogue's heroes was back. If they would allow I would give this WALGREENS a ZERO. You go to the doctor because your sick and most of the time time need medication. You get to the Pharmacy and they can't fill the prescription until tomorrow. I am absolutely done with Walgreens. Put more pharmacists on the payroll. Your charging enough for the meds. The drive thru line is out to the street. The line is packed down the isle inside. Never again. read more

I am giving it 1 star because I can't give it a 0. this store has the worse possible employees. They are rude and never open to help you with anything. I shop there only because it is the only one in Porterville, when I go out u rather shop somewhere than going there. I am going to talk about two mayor issues I had with manager directly. One, she refused to sale a clearance item just because I had a coupon for it and I was getting an even better deal. She told me she was not going to sale it to me just because I had the coupon, which was a digital coupon from the store. Did not sale it and decided to just leave it in the shelf as if she owns the place. last issue, the restrooms. They clean and close the restrooms at around 5 or 6pm. One time I was shopping late with my autistic son who was just training to use the restroom and he wanted to go. I took my son to the restroom and it was closed I asked politely if someone would open it for my son and they told me it was closed for the night. I told them the situation and they called the manager who then came very rude and told me "I can't open the restroom for your son. I just cleaned if I open it I will have to clean again". I didn't say anything and walked out with my son almost peeing himself. I had to go across to the Jack to use the restroom because she was so selfish to only think about her doing the job again. I thought they had improved and went back a few days again and again, they are still not allowing anyone to use the restrooms after 6pm. it is insane because it is a pharmacy. They should expect people being sick while shopping for over the counter medication after 6pm. Horrible experiences there. Don't recommend. read more

Unfortunately, I have to give a star in order to review this Walgreens. By far the worst pharmacy in town. I have never had so many problems with getting medications ever. "It's out of stock and we have to order it..." I have waited 2 weeks for medications which is uncalled for. Customer service and satisfaction are not within their motto. They have submitted medications wrong to my insurance company. I did not know it was so hard to read a script properly? Especially when it CLEARLY states on the script what medication is needed. Pull your heads out of your ass! Maybe you need a new pharmacist who knows how to manage a pharmacy when your techs are messing it up for patients. "The customer is ALWAYS right!" read more

The waiting customers need priority attention not orders that were dropped and will be picked up later. With all of the resources companies and organizations have for customer service training. I AM IN COMLETE SHOCK AND DISBELIEF at the lack of customer service skills the pharmacy staff has. I recently retired from the medical field and spoke to pharmacies on an average of 30 times a day to assist patients. This is the worst customer service I have ever received. I completely understand the stress level and the dynamics of the industry and it is still not a good excuse to treat any customer with such disrespect. I have to pick up medication at this Walgreens for my mother periodically. I've yet to have a pleasant experience. I feel they don't value me as a customer. On most occasions I receive an email or call that the medication is ready and when I get there it's not ready. This has been my experience and I encourage you to give me your feed back as to a better pharmacy. I wish them well but I will take my business elsewhere and encourage my family, friends, and coworkers to not go there. I write this review based on several visits to Porterville Walgreens Pharmacy. They are terrible at customer service. 90% of the time, in my estimation, they are understaffed and customers have to wait an unacceptable amount of time to get prescriptions or help. They hardly call for back up and sometimes there is just one service agent with several in line. I would recommend you just use another Pharmacy like Rite Aid or CVS or some independent. Thumbs down to Walgreens Pharmacy. read more
