I am giving them 5-stars because they had availability for a Pfizer Covid Vaccine so I got one last Friday when I stopped in. And the woman who administered it was as nice as can be. Now I bet you are saying, David! you are going to have to drive back there for the 2nd in 3 weeks! No, no, no--they got me an appointment for the 2nd close to where I live. Although if you have ever been to Porterville--you may want to come back here and stay at the Ritz Carlton Porterville. About the CVS Store: Not as well stocked as a CVS store in LA. Large free and easy parking. Just as easy to get your bicycle stolen here as in LA (see my pic). I asked the CVS woman who checked me in for the Vaccine how it went for her? She said--I am not getting the Vaccine unless they make me. I don't trust it. I asked here if she gets the Flu vaccine? Nope. (If I worked in a drug store with sick people coming in all day I would definitely consider getting vaccines.) Next door is a Starbucks with outdoor seating--I hung out there a bit. Across the street is The Habit. They told me that they have a new freezer just for the Covid Vaccines and plan to administer them here for a long time.

They still have soft lines and toys and electronics and a Tire & Lube but very limited food and groceries. The restroom was clean and I checked out the limited selection of RV stuff. I parked the Sprinter van in the area between the Walmart and the grocery store with two or three other motorhomes. It was mostly quiet until the stores closed, then it was completely quiet. I was told by the pharmacist, if I want my medication filled I would have to transfer all my prescriptions to Porterville Pharmacy and then they would fill my Perscription. I get my doctor to send my script over to them and they tell me, in order for them to fill my diabetic medication, I would now have to have my husband also transfer all of his scripts to Porterville Pharmacy on Putnam. Can you spell Extortion! Please don't use this Pharmacy. They think we are stupid people here in porterville. Well, they are going to get one rude awakening. Please do not go to the pharmacy, my doctor call in my medication this morning i went to the…read morepharmacy they said they are working on it 20 minutes later they said 2 of the 3 were over counter meds i okay then 20 minutes later they said the 3rd one was over counter i said okay then they said for me to wait they said were not sure if they had the medication that i might have to wait until tomorrow i waited another 10 minutes i got mad because a man came up to the counter said he was picking up his medication they said were working on it he said i called last night they said it was ready he also told they that he was leaving out of town he ask they how long will it be they said to come back at 1:30 ,I got mad and left the store i knew if i stayed i was going to start yelling at them i came home it took me about 20 to cool down and i called they told me they had to call my doctor because they were out of that the medication and my doctor got back to they the pharmacy said it will be ready in 20 minutes my husband went back 3 hours later and guess what? they said the pharmacist was on lunch and he had to wait 15 minutes to get the okay ,my husband told them this is very unprofessional for this reason we will never go back and this isn't the first time we have had a problem with CVS.

Target is my go-to for all of a lot of my household purchases. Every time I have been in, the store…read moreis clean and most of the employees are very friendly. Not a bunch of screaming kids like the other big store across the street. I was surprised last time when I supplied my own bags at checkout the checker scanned all of my items but I had to bag my own things. I'm not sure if that is the norm or if just the way she did things but that's something to be aware of because not everyone wants to bag their own items or can bag their own items. I will say that since their last major remodel I don't think they carry as many items or they may carry more brands but less of each item within that brand. The first time I noticed this was in the hair color aisle, they had several brands but the one I was looking at was missing the entire blonde selections. That was something they carried before the remodel. I will take that with a grain of salt though because there are supply issues still happening but I would think that they would have something after all this time. I highly suggest that everyone download the Target app because if you do want to take the time to add offers you can save quite a bit of money. I wish they would work like some supermarket royalty cards where each week the discounts were just loaded in automatically and if you bought that product you would get the cash back Instead of having to choose the offer and add it to your barcode before you buy. Sometimes scanning the barcodes of every item before you put them in the cart is just taking too much time and if you haven't planned ahead you may not have all of the discounts available loaded onto your app already but again if you can take a few minutes to load the offers in before or during your shopping it really adds up. Curbside pick up is also a plus and it seems to be very popular. Sometimes I think the people out there working are working harder than most of the inside employees. Maybe it just seems that way because I feel sorry for them being out there in this heat but they have always been very pleasant and efficient to work with and I do appreciate that they have this service available. I did rate four stars because of the availability of some of the things in the store not being what they should be and I have had a couple of times where produce such as the bagged salads weren't the freshest, but this will continue to be my favorite store of this type.
