This Place is Disgusting. & Has Horrible Customer Service. People have to Wait forever. To get perceptions

I'm only give this review over one small, irritating procedure. There are many stores that will occasionally ask to see your ID. But Rite Aid on Morton Ave. in Porterville is the ONLY store I know about that requires you to remove your Driver's License or ID from your wallet or purse to scan it. It is VERY irritating. Consistent delays in prescriptions, despite a) time sensitivities and b) assurances of the time they will be ready. Frequently the problem is blamed upon "needing updated insurance information" yet you are never called when they have a question - which is the precise reason they request your phone number each and every time you get a script filled. The staff is unbelievably slow, and the communication is beyond poor. The time of myself and my husband is repeatedly wasted every single month (we are more often surprised when things are ready on time, with no issues), and the only reason that we don't switch is because this is literally the only place in town that our insurance covers. read more

Good ice-cream too bad for the horrible customer service. Walked in and as i am walking up to the thrifty ice-cream post the two employees are discussing cleaning. Okay cool, they mention that they will be cleaning and will be with us shortly, then proceed to put a closed sign. They both go off to do other things, about 15 minutes after one comes back and starts filling out paperwork. We are still being ignored until the other lady comes back and rudely states that next time we come in and see that sign it means it is closed.. when she was the one who told us to wait in the first place. This is not the first time i am badly approached by this rude employee (a dark haired lady with a little pony tail and a tattoo on her left forearm). I should not have to deal with that kind of attitude just because she hates her job, that is a personal problem. read more

I came here twice for a COVID test, both times I was unable to get tested. The first time the pharmacist was out, the second time they didn't have a schedule of appointments for that day. These guys are highly disorganized and inconsiderate of people's time. I had appointments both times that weren't honored. read more

I had to drive all the way from terra Bella to get my medicine at 630 , only for there to be no one competent enough to hand it to me saying they need a pharmacist to say it's ok. It's a damn antibiotic not a narcotic ! And believe it or not I can read a label and follow directions on dosage , at least I Hope I can considering I was a nurse! Ridiculous! Better staff!!!! Worst rite aid I've ever been too!!! Got a few items that I was holding in my hand. I started walking toward the register and the young lady said she would be right with me. She answered the phone and told whoever was on the line that she was going on her lunch. She then hung up and told the other staff member that was standing behind her that she was leaving to lunch. First of all, that other staff member was just standing there not doing anything. Second, if she knew she was going on lunch then she could have asked the other cashier that wasn't doing anything to help me out right away, with all my items in my hand.... I like coming in here special in the summer time to get some ice cream. Once in awhile they have the buckets of ice cream on special. The staff is friendly and nice. They have different specials every now and then you can find some good deals. read more

I visited this Rite Aid from out of town and I was pleasantly surprised how nice it was. The store was very nicely kept and well stocked. They had a nice vitamin section with protein powders. They also a lot of new items for spring, such as lounge chairs and coolers. Overall I think that this is one of the nicest Rite Aids that I've have been too. read more

Worst pharmacy ever. Rite Aid lost a 16 year customer. Their Customer service is beyond bad. We live an hour away in the mountains and they have caused us numerous unnecessary trips, messed up prescriptions then lied bout it. We were evacuated due to a wild fire and I had accidentally left my BP meds behind. On the way to our destination we stopped here and told them. "Oh we can give you only few pills to get you buy for a few days". We were evacuated for 10 days minimum! We continued on to our sons in another town where we explained the situation to the Rite Aid there. They gladly accommodated me giving me a months supply. I had to pay out of pocket, but at least I had my meds. The Porterville store could care less about your well being. After NUMEROUS issues over the last year and a half with this pharmacy we finally found another local pharmacy. After 2 weeks of attempts by our new pharmacy to get our prescriptions transferred they have ignored all requests and our Rx's are due shortly. Run away from this pharmacy and fast! We've given up and contacted our attorney for help. I'm tired of spinning my wheels and worrying whether I'll get our needed meds or not. Horrible service! Our doctor is not very happy with them as well. read more

WORST PHARMACY EVER. The one and only reason why I am still with this pharmacy is because apparently they are the only ones that carry my prescription (which is birth control BTW!!!)... It was hard to believe that, but after attempting to go to the others here in town they told me their providers do not supply them with my specific Rx. It is a huge struggle to receive my Rx on time... Whenever I call it in, the automated voice gives me a time when it will be ready...IT IS NEVER READY AT THAT TIME. NEVER. I have experienced numerous times when I go to pick it up and they have said, "Oh well we haven't even filled it yet" - (me) "I called it in yesterday and it said it would be ready by this time today!!" These situations happen with this pharmacy every single time - without fail. There is only ONE pharmacists working at all times with their ten assistants who are always doing nothing but making situations worse! The assistants keep you waiting in the drive through FOREVER. Lines are always backed up -inside the store and the drive through. These poor people are waiting forever to get their Rx, and majority of the time the pharmacy tells them it is not ready... COME ON!!!!! Things need to change in that pharmacy. ASAP. Please do your job. read more
