I bought three products and already like them so much, I am planning a trip to the Pickle's and Potions store to pick up holiday gifts for friends and family. May I 100% recommend: The Farm Hands cream-With winter dry claw starting up, this raw honey hand balm is honestly the perfect thing to put on your hands (and feet) right before going to sleep. I've only done this for one night and already feel SO much better! The Winter Warrior face moisturizing stick-Keep it in your bag or pocket and rub it all over your face before going to sleep. Natural Deodorant stick/Sunshine scent-Completely fantastic! I am a person who will not use commercial deodorants and so am always on the lookout for a natural alternative. I've tried so many; some won't go on easily, some are too sticky and some have strange scents. This one glides right on easily and smells FANTASTIC!!! Sounds like i'm starting some new routines!

My sister and I used to come here when she was in high school to get her fun brightly colored Manic Panic dyes and other at-home hair coloring supplies. I've been here several times in the past few years for some basics: a hairdryer, a curler, etc. Recently I stopped by for a hairbrush because I broke my Dollar Store one in half. I forgot that Sally's tends to be a bit pricer than what you'd find online, and I'm only comparing the two because Sally's is a national chain. Also, because this specific space has been around for literally decades, it's a bit rundown/grimy inside. They do have fun promotions from time to time: BOGOs or "spend x-amount get blah blah blah for free" (for example, I once got an enormous travel bag from them for spending $75 [I think], and it was actually a really, really good bag [it's currently home to all my cross-stitching goods]). The brush I got - which is an "ultra detangling brush that leaves hair smooth and polished, good for wet or dry hair"- was $6 and the cheapest option they had (I just needed something to get the knots out and maybe not snap in half when I use it!).

When I placed my order I was reminded that the store closed at 6 pm, perfect. I planned to be there at 4:45. I called the store ahead to double check that my order (prepaid) was indeed ready before I made the 30 minute drive to the Sally's store. When I got to the store at 4:45, the door was locked and the lights out. I couldn't believe it! I walked around to a couple of other stores to see if the store person had an emergency or something to explain why the store was closed. When I got in my car to go home (pissed!) I saw that lights go on in "Sally's" and a store clerk unlocking the door! I was clearly annoyed and had to explain/remind the clerk I had spoken to her before I left work and told her I would be there by 5 . . . Thought that should be safe with Sally's closing time of six. She said, oh, I had some cleaning up to do in the "back" ---- couldn't have put a note on the door or left the lights on?? Seriously?? I know we are in a pandemic and would certainly understand if an emergency came up, but this was sloppiness on the part of the person working in the store.

Second, and most importantly, Amy did a phenomenal job on my hair!! I decided to stop coloring, several months ago. I've had the demarcation line with grey/silver 1/3 of the way down my hair and the rest a mix of ashy blonde, yellow, and darker brown. There was a lot going on. I was clear with Amy that I do NOT want to get back into a routine of having to color. As an avid scuba diver and outdoorswoman, I am definitely a wash and wear kind of girl. I am NOT going to take any time, so it's got to be easy for me. She knocked it out of the park. Put in I don't even know how many different toners - actually treated every section of my hair that had something different going on, individually. No more line. No more burnt out yellow - just a beautiful blend of my natural silver/salt & pepper, toned. It will take me a day or two to get used to the change but it's time to embrace the "sexy, older woman" vibe. I can say, within 15 minutes of leaving the salon, I had one stranger, and 4 friends give me amazing compliments. They all love it. I know I will too. Thank you so very much, Amy, for making me feel pretty.
