We found everything we were looking for and my little nephew found more than I was hoping he would find LOL, M&Ms for the win. The self checkouts were all working! That's the first from the stores I have visited in Maine. The process is super easy, there was a staff member nearby and jumped into action quickly when the customer next to us accidentally scanned an item twice. They were friendly when helping and didn't seem bothered. There is plenty of parking and it was clean and well lit. I highly recommend this store for your retail, pharmacy and vaccine needs.

For 6 MONTHS my Drs office has been "trying" to get it approved from Medicare and they kept saying they would not approve it as a D prescription. It is a B under medical. So the Drs Office was stupid.. I have a supplement and Walgreen kept dening it. Today I took 10 minutes and got through to Medicare and they were kind and helpful and here's the deal...Walgreens does not bill Medicare. Medicare suggest CVS. I am not near one here but they are in Auburn, Augusta, Waterville, and Portland. I will be changing all my perscriptions to CVS and drive the hour to get it. SO NOT HELPFUL.

I live over an hour away and this is the CLOSEST pharmacy to me. So anytime I need medication, it is a pain to drive down, but it's the only option. There are other pharmacies near this one, but I needed a certain medication that only this pharmacy had at the time. They didn't have enough to fill my entire prescription, so they were only able to partially fill my prescription. I had enough to get through about 5 days but needed to return for the rest. I tested positive for mono, tonsilitis, and strep throat, so making sure I can take my prescription on time every single day is essential to my recovery! Well, I'm here to tell you, the people in this store do NOT care about you or your wellbeing. I'm just now feeling well enough to return to work, and don't want to miss any more time, so I planned on making a trip down on the weekend. Well guess what?! The pharmacy wasn't open! Tried again on Sunday! Still not open!!! They claim it's because they can't find a pharmacist to come in and work. I get it, people don't wanna work right now, with covid still going on, and I get that some people don't like working weekends, but you are messing with people's health by not having someone there! And causing unnecessary stress! The last time I was in this pharmacy they had at least 5 people working in the pharmacy. So, you're telling me you can have 5 people working during the week when it's not busy but can't even get ONE person to work during the weekend. Now I've had to skip doses of my medication because I ran out. The last thing I want is to get sick AGAIN, all because you can't find employees to work during the weekend. Thankfully I was able to find someone who could pick up my medication for me during the week while I was working. Get your shit together Walgreens. Maybe hire some people that know how to do their damn job. (I would have tried a different pharmacy, but since this useless place had already filled part of my prescription, I couldn't go anywhere else, I tried. Even went as far as calling my doctor to have my script sent to a different pharmacy and it couldn't be done) On top of all of this, the last time I was at this pharmacy, I had to wait OVER AN HOUR to get my prescription. We were able to pay for everything at the pharmacy which was nice. I usually don't use public restrooms but did this time around. The restroom was clean and well stocked. I was surprised to see (for the first time ever) that Walgreens sells alcohol! I visited this Walgreens again the second day because I forgot to buy cough drops. The line moved quickly but I did noticed that there were no self checkout kiosks like most Walgreens has. Overall, I really liked this Walgreens. The people were so incredibly friendly here!

If you have intolerances to certain foods or fillers, they can accommodate you by offering you alternative fillers in your capsules. I E. if you are lactose intolerant, they can use coconut instead. If you have severe allergies, like me, a compounding pharmacy is a necessity. NOTE: Some insurance companies do not cover prescriptions filled at a compounding pharmacy. So, you must file forms to get payment reimbursed. These may be rejected for reimbursement, but you can appeal. THE DEAL: The pharmacist is so knowledgeable and friendly... He even printed out my insurance reimbursement forms and filled them out for me!
