We found everything we were looking for and my little nephew found more than I was hoping he would find LOL, M&Ms for the win. The self checkouts were all working! That's the first from the stores I have visited in Maine. The process is super easy, there was a staff member nearby and jumped into action quickly when the customer next to us accidentally scanned an item twice. They were friendly when helping and didn't seem bothered. There is plenty of parking and it was clean and well lit. I highly recommend this store for your retail, pharmacy and vaccine needs.

For sake of space I will make a long story short, I had a very traumatic miscarriage in the bathroom at the Waterville store when I was shopping with my 3 year old and 10 month old a few years ago, instead of immediately calling 911 (despite a neighboring stall screaming for help when they witnessed what was happening) they sent a young girl to help me. I explained to her that I was having a miscarriage and that I was concerned I was bleeding out (as I had had a previous previa with a prior pregnancy) and the bleeding wasn't stopping... she began panicking and handing me rolls of paper towels, I told her that the paper towels weren't working and she went and got 3 bath towels, which helped control the bleeding until my husband arrived to rush me to the hospital. While he ran to put the children in the car she brought me a wheelchair and she assured him we would be right behind him. Unfortunately instead of walking me out she instead BROUGHT ME TO A REGISTER bloodied and bleeding out TO CHECK ME OUT FOR THE TOWELS I HAD USED TO TRY TO STOP THE BLEEDING! I'll never forget handing her the credit card and seeing the blood on my hand and the card, as people stared at me wondering why I was covered in blood... At the time this happened I was going through enough with the miscarriage I didn't want to relive it to complain, but my mother who met me at the hospital was up in arms about it, she put in a call and never heard back... which shocked me, so when I was able I wrote to Walmart an email expressing my concern for future customers who have an emergency. I did not blame the young girl, I still don't, she tried her best, but I blame a lack of training and management. There was no way this girl was a manager of any sort, as I would hope anyone in a management level position would know to call 911 when someone was bleeding out, and that at the very least you don't bring a person who is on their way to the hospital to the cash register or delay care for any reason, much less to check out $5 bath towels they used to try to control bleeding and minimize others exposure to blood... my ultimate disappointment in the store and the company came when I too never got a response to my story/request for explanation on how this occurred. I can only hope they are now under new management, and that my story at least internally led to emergency training . I've attached a portion of my report for reference. I also have the gory emails and letters that I never heard back on.

I got the email and told her it was ready. When she got there she let me know, so I called the store. A lady named Brooke answered and explained the situation. She told me they aren't going to be able to give it to her and I told, I'm telling you to give it to her. She said she'd have to speak with her manager. She came back stating they will do it this one time but not again. . When I told Brooke it didn't give me the option to change pick up person she said the manager checked and said that it does. When i started to tell her i used the guest check out option and that it does not provide that she suggested, next time i use the app. I advised her that at this point it's neither here nor there. It was at this point that she said, have a good day basically hung up. I have a recording of the outside transaction. I have never written a yelp and any sort of review either bad or good, but this transaction rubbed me the wrong way. It costs nothing to be nice, you never know whats happening in another person's world, and maybe they just need a kind words or a smile. Please, just be nice.
