I would give less than that if possible. It sounds like all Walmarts re pretty much the same. I had two memberships at one time. I cancelled one, through Walmart's Bank' Capital One did a charge back and I didn't even know about it. Later I thought I would give Walmart a second chance and found out they charges me already a second time. I fought the second time and chargeback. My own Walmart Credit Card Bank allowed this to happen with all the proof right in front of their nose. I spent days to dot ever I and cross every T but they were in a partnership so I took a $200 loss within 4-6 months. I had reported them to BBB and didn't want compensation because I thought I had received my money back. No to shut you up, they give you your money back, but later charge it back to you. The worst though is the Exploitation of the Elderly and Disabled through their online delivery, including me. They give you basically the expired garbage no one else wants in the store. I cried when I saw I wasn't the only one and remember so many reviews of ones that couldn't get to the store to return so they lost their money and their food from EBT went into the garbage. I can't prove they ripped my EBT card off but I sure do save lots of money on groceries now. So what do you think? You can't see it being given back. But no refunds if you don't return delivered, tipped food to the door leaves you at a loss when it is thrown away because our Dear Elderly and Disabled ones can't use it. How do you feel about that? Well I'm not happy about it and I no longer have a membership, nor will I ever again, but too when your own credit card doesn't stand up for you ??? Interestingly, I was told by the Fraud and Dispute Department that it is reasons like mine and yours that they will no longer be in partnership with Walmart, but right up until that day they were allowing the Exploitation to continue. No 5% cash back either from Capital One, so what is the sense? They lost a Good Customer, both of them with an 815 rating due to this abuse. I still have the really high credit line, but I could care less if they take it away from me because I don't use the card anymore. Do I resent this type of store, you better believe it, I do. Walmart will give Promo's for 10-25 dollars off using them, but they don't work. They are suppose to be due to such horrific inconveniences, just bouts of lies spew forth from Walmart. They teach their employees the same catch phrase that they love Walmart because it helps buyers save money. You don't and what about the ones that use delivery that can't get to the store. Would they pay someone to take them in to do so??? They got delivery for a reason and it wasn't meant to have to go back to return. I have had Stock not be available once paid for and not accounted for either. Stock of 6-10 items. I have had groceries be delivered to someone else often. No one said a word. I have had groceries come really late, when the store was ready to close and asked If I could get them instead to be refused. So they sit thawing out, then in a cooler. Tip is don't get them the next day go elsewhere because your popsicles will be melted along with other frozen foods and I have been sick over 3 time because of their meat. Start a new order, go somewhere else. Better yet, cancel your membership now and if it was charged to Capital One, take your loss and don't waste your time trying to defeat the system or their policies for the public. They are simply passing their cost of Garbage onto the public. Prevent yourself from being their next victim. I feel so sorry for all of you who have had b ad experiences, I tried to set the stage for change, but sometimes it just falls on Deaf Ears. They need to train their employees to put things into the cooler ASAP, before it expires. It's taken me a few years to even write about this as it was such an awful experience I wasn't ready to relive it. For sake of space I will make a long story short, I had a very traumatic miscarriage in the bathroom at the Waterville store when I was shopping with my 3 year old and 10 month old a few years ago, instead of immediately calling 911 (despite a neighboring stall screaming for help when they witnessed what was happening) they sent a young girl to help me. I explained to her that I was having a miscarriage and that I was concerned I was bleeding out (as I had had a previous previa with a prior pregnancy) and the bleeding wasn't stopping... she began panicking and handing me rolls of paper towels, I told her that the paper towels weren't working and she went and got 3 bath towels, which helped control the bleeding until my husband arrived to rush me to the hospital. While he ran to put the children in the car she brought me a wheelchair and she assured him we would be right behind him. Unfortunately instead of walking me out she instead BROUGHT ME TO A REGISTER bloodied and bleeding out TO CHECK ME OUT FOR THE TOWELS I HAD USED TO TRY TO STOP THE BLEEDING! I'll never forget handing her the credit card and seeing the blood on my hand and the card, as people stared at me wondering why I was covered in blood... At the time this happened I was going through enough with the miscarriage I didn't want to relive it to complain, but my mother who met me at the hospital was up in arms about it, she put in a call and never heard back... which shocked me, so when I was able I wrote to Walmart an email expressing my concern for future customers who have an emergency. I did not blame the young girl, I still don't, she tried her best, but I blame a lack of training and management. There was no way this girl was a manager of any sort, as I would hope anyone in a management level position would know to call 911 when someone was bleeding out, and that at the very least you don't bring a person who is on their way to the hospital to the cash register or delay care for any reason, much less to check out $5 bath towels they used to try to control bleeding and minimize others exposure to blood... my ultimate disappointment in the store and the company came when I too never got a response to my story/request for explanation on how this occurred. I can only hope they are now under new management, and that my story at least internally led to emergency training . I've attached a portion of my report for reference. Great store. Great hardworking people. Kmart going out of business next door proves it. Target not daring to open a store near this Walmart proves it too. Often workers appear they are not helping customers or not with customers, but often they have a customer on hold that called in or want a call back. Or with a customer that had to go back in the store,but coming right back. Also, i noticed they have Western Union at that Walmart. Perhaps they are working on time sensitive work for customers. I rarely go to this Walmart. It's like walking into a dirty slum. Most of the people, shopping in there are wearing their pajamas & slippers and some of them smell terrible. Come on people, soap and water are cheap...take a shower. The grossest smelling ones, smell of BO and three day old cigarette smoke. The store itself is dirty, cluttered, and understocked. I've never had a bad experience with the cashier's... they're all very nice and I'm sure underpaid. I probably go in there once, every six months. Their produce is sub par... Where do I start? No one at this store wants to help a customer. Ever. You are ignored & spoken too rudely. The whole vibe of this Walmart is the bottom of the bottom. You can never find anyone to help you, the cashiers are 99% of the time rude, even the Supervisors/Managers seem unimpressed by anything you say. There is not a single thing that comes close to customer service associated with the Waterville Walmart. The only shinning star is the stocking crew. They start at 10pm and ALWAYS greet me and ask if they can help me find something. And I mean several of them do this when I am in there at night. read more

Just got an email from a manager there. He apologized for the systematic inconvenience and promised me an item in the store today. Went and picked it up! I am so glad that Walmart actually listens to their customers and provides them with the best kind of support. I've been a regular customer of Walmart Supercenter, #2013 for 15 years. The cashier employees never smile, never go out of their way to please a customer and are rude. It's almost as if they're a cult. The stockman are okay. They smile, try to please and are usually helpful if I ever have a question. I love Walmart including online because they usually have what I need, except for clothing and footwear in my size. What makes me really sad is the fact that Faded Glory isn't a supplier anymore. read more

I only give this Wal-Mart a 3 because of a few employees that are very nice. Most of the time the shelves are not even stocked with half of the items I am looking for. I do tend to go here a lot because of the convenience. The store needs to work on having more everyday items in stock and a much healthier produce selection. While front-end employees are rarely responsible for the store itself, they do have a responsibility to be at least polite, which many are not, and they will stand there and disparage their coworkers to a customer. Walked in to cash my check later in the night and found out customer service was closed due to them not scheduling someone to work it. I was shocked luckily they was able to just barely cash my check at a registrar due to the amount and I got lucky. Every time I'm there they have a great selection on items I need - organic all natural frozen meat, flours, oils. wild salmon and scallops without stp phosphate, cheap better body coconut flour (only one with less sugar than bob's red mill). maybe coming from Canada is why my expectations were so low (grocery section has no real organic options). read more

It was the worst retail experience I have ever had. I wanted new snow tires and rims for my son's car for Christmas. The lady I ordered them with was nice and helpful. From there, the experience went downhill fast. I was told after a few days that everything was in, I drove 45 minutes to find out that everything was not in. First, the rims showed up not the tires. Second, the tires and rims were in, but they didn't have the tps sensors, but they were on order. I asked how long it would take to get them in, he said that they are on order! On the last trip in, two days after I was told that the sensors were on order, I found out that they sent the rims back, because I didn't pick them up! They don't like to have rims laying around. No apology. Nothing. All my dealings were with the same manager, too bad for Wal-Mart, I spent my 1000.00$ at townfair tire. read more

The shelves are rarely stocked, the employees spend more time standing around talking to each other than working (and some of those conversations really shouldn't be heard from customers), no employee will ever help you find anything, the management is indifferent to anything & everything and the cashiers aren't friendly nor do they know how to bag groceries without melting/crushing your food. There are never any cash registers open when I go, and I go on the weekends, Friday and Saturday. They don't stock up on products. I went to get pasta, rotini,and there wasn't a box of rotini's in any brand for almost two weeks. Employees are complaining to their managers about having to clean up messes or having to get on registers to help cash people out. I'm just shocked that the employees act as if no ones there and their complaining about having to do theirs job. That's horrible customer service. Just once I would like to go there and have a decent trip with reasonable customer service. Oh and I'm pretty sure that every shopping cart is broken there. read more

Best and cleanest Walmart I've ever been in. Why can't they all be this nice and organized and clean

Not quite sure where to start this one. I generally shop elsewhere, but I was curious about the StraightTalk cell plan. According to the ads, is available only at Walmart. Fair enough. I went to Walmart and proceeded to the electronics department. Two cashiers were standing by, So I asked about StraightTalk. One did not seem to know anything about it. The second claimed that the only store in Maine that was providing the service was in Augusta. Fair enough. But on my way to the front, I can across the display for StraighTalk. Including the plans, and even an assortment of phones. I'm a firm believer that if management doesn't hear from the customer, Service will not improve. So I stood in line at the service desk for 15 minutes. There were a lot of lines there, and each line was filled with people. Some visibly annoyed. When I finally made it to the front, I explained my situation and requested to speak with someone from management. A phone call was made, and a young man with a radio appeared. He attempted to locate an assistant manager, but was unsuccessful. And having already spent nearly 30 minutes in this place, I thanked them for their time and left. Having spent time in a number of states, and more than a few Walmarts, I feel confident in stating that this is the worst run Walmart I have ever been unfortunate enough to enter. Management seems to be scarce, and employees poorly trained, At least the three I spoke with. I'm sure Walmart will get by without the few dollars I would've spent there, however, cheap crap we'll only attract people for so long. Worst Walmart experience I've ever had. My wife and I are happily going about our business doing our weekly grocery shopping at the local Walmart, which happened to include three bottles of wine. Plus about $150 worth of other groceries. We got into the line of someone named Donna. No greeting, no "did you find everything ok". Before we were even finished unloading our cart, the first words out of her mouth were "I'm going to need to see both of your IDs for this alcohol". Now I'm 46. My wife is 43. Seriously? No problem for me producing my ID as I always carry mine with me. And that should have been enough. My wife doesn't usually carry her ID with her, the only thing we had on us was an old expired ID of hers (but which should have been sufficient). But my ID should have been enough. The highlight of this experience was when Donna rudely and in a very aggressive manner asked my wife "How old are you?" Is it Walmart policy to refuse to sell alcohol to families? If someone brought their 15 year old son or 13 year old daughter, would they also refuse to sell to them? I left the store without buying anything, especially after the manager-on-duty backed up her cashier and was rather pointedly rude about the whole thing. I have shopped at Walmart for years (I'm new to the Waterville area however) and have never ever had an experience as bad as that. This Donna was picking on us for some reason. I don't know why. I can only speculate that perhaps it's because we're out-of-towners or maybe even because my wife is of Hispanic descent. I would avoid this store like the plague. Edit: Well, after doing some research on the matter, it does appear that this Walmart does in fact like to be all up in your business about purchasing alcohol. And it also appears that Walmart (at least some of them, as again, I have NEVER had this problem at any other Walmart) will deny alcohol sales if you bring your kid in with you. Thank god for Big Brother Walmart there to make sure that I don't drink too much (or at least make me go to the store 2 minutes away to get my alcohol and the rest of my groceries). By the way, when I showed my ID stating that I'm 46 and my wife showed her expired ID but you wouldn't accept it, you were in fact PUBLICLY accusing me of committing a crime, namely, you were accusing me of intending to furnish alcohol to a minor. Accusing someone of a crime, in public, with no evidence of such, and when in fact no crime is being committed or intended, is Libel per se. I would tread carefully before you end up getting sued. I wouldn't shop at the Waterville Walmart again if it were the only Walmart in 1000 miles. read more
