I would recommend anyone buying online with a credit card to check your bank statements. A woman purporting to be "Mary" charged my card 4 times for a single box set purchase, and shipped 2 of this item, one that I obviously did not authorize. . It took two weeks and numerous phone that she did not return for her to correct it, and she still would not take responsibility of it or to apologize. Instead, solely for this error that could have been credit card fraud, she denied that it happened and retaliated against me by closing my account. Again, I was not the one committing possible fraud. Snowflake Mary did like hearing of my complaint and their repeated refusal to look into it and respond. I contacted the owner by email about this and he ignored my complaint, which means he approved and condoned of her conduct and the overcharge, If you don't like being overcharged and the hubris of the employee who will not take responsibility, pick another company to buy your music and movies from. I haven't been in a Bull Moose that I don't love. There is something magical they must do to the employees. No matter which store I go into, FRIENDLY, fun and always available to help or chat about a product. Smiling must be a requirement to work here. I love it. The stores are neatly organized and always kept tidy. The selection of music, movies, games and TOYS and miscellaneous fun stuff, keeps me entertained. So easy to shop for myself, my family and friends. The last purchase - preowned blue-ray 4K dvds, a screaming goat for my desk and popcaps that I loved as a kid. :) I usually stop into a Bullmoose location just to browse at least once every two weeks. They lied and sold me a pirate copy of Star wars trilogy for IV, I and VI, A New Hope, Empire Strikes Back and Return of the Jedi. The backs of the blu rays are a slightly wrong color to be printed instead of burned, and the main give away is that the white balance, while watching the movie are wrong in MANY places. In the snow battle scenes, the white balance is off and whites are slightly purple, other scenese the white is way too bright. It looks like someone used a cheap residential grade video editing software package to try to "restore" the video footage with "auto balance", which is notorious for making the white balance wrong each time there is an excessive amount of white concentrated in one area of the picture. The sound is also off. When I put it up into my PC to see that is going on, I noticed the main Blu Ray files are "00500.m2ts" instead of "00800.m2ts". A real Blu Ray made by a factory would always call the english version of the main file "00800m2ts". The case insert looks like something someone made on a PC. The resolution of the insert is WAY grainier than comparing to a real Blu Ray that was made and stamped in a factory. There is a fake barcode that when you look at it very closely, does not have perfect edges. How many times have you seen a bar code in Wal Mart of Target where it was slightly grainy edges when you look very closely at the bar code? Well the bar codes on this fake movie set from BullMoose was totally fake. The movie title, when viewed directly on the disc using software, is also in French, so this is not a region 1 blu ray. Their employees are not stupid, in fact the opposite is true. They are very smart and have played with ripping software and used DVD and Blu Rays for years and I am sure they knew this was a fake blu ray set. They sold it to me anyways, because they do not like me as a customer. read more

I come here for everything, but video games. They always have the latest movies, and awesome deals on new releases. The selection is amazing. I almost always find what Im looking for. I dont buy movies, books, music or trading cards anywhere else. The staff is almost always pleasant, and when they're not, they're not rude or disrespectful, they're just kinda content, or monotone. I've never had a bad experience here at Bullmoose. That being said. I wont buy games anywhere but gamestop, that being they know me by name, and have a better rewards program. The one down side to this, I dont like how they cannot give an accurate trade value over the phone. read more

So happy places like Bull Moose still exist. Not necessarily for practical reasons (can't say I buy DVDs or CDs anymore) but for the nostalgia of it. Came here for the first time and was in awe of the DVD selection! They've got every TV show ever. Bull Moose also has a great book and record selection. We were disappointed there weren't any grab bags available (other Bull Moose locations have a bin of brown bags with DVDs inside for around 5 bucks each. You buy 'em and hope you end up with something good!) I know this location normally does have them, though. It's definitely worth a visit even if you don't end up buying anything! read more

I can't say enough about being able to sell movies I don't watch anymore or didn't like and books I have already read. Then I get to pick out the next movie tv show or book I want. Paying a cheaper price because someone else used it, heck ya. Some things can be purchased for only a couple bucks. Definately get the bullmoose card. You earn points which can lead to free stuff or a percent off your purchase and who doesn't like a discount. read more

First time ever going on here and loved this store. As soon as you enter you are greeted with a smile and very engaging and cordial staff. Store well organized and signage is excellent. The variety of book and media is excellent. I went in to find some adult coloring books ( my new go to stress relieving activity) and found more options than any major book chain has available. I found the prices extremely good this spending more than I had planned but all good deals. read more

Bull Moose in Waterville is the best location for many reasons. The organization is much more detailed and contained. I've never had a complaint about CDs being out of order. They have more specific genre sections than most other music shops I've been to. The employees always greet you and offer help to find anything. If they don't have it, they will quickly look it up to order it in, and you don't pay until you buy it. The store is always a good experience and I always look forward to going in. If you haven't been to a Bull Moose you're missing out, if you've been to another location, come see how much better the others could be. read more

This is my least favourite location. I have visited 5 others, and I genuinely felt the staff are there to accuse Perusers of theft and make one feel as if they don't want you in the store. I wasn't hassled, per se, but felt as if I were being watched very diligently. And when I declined to purchase 1 of my 6 other items which I purchased, I offered to kindly put it back in stock, they would not permit it. It was a sort of awkward declination, to the point where I felt because they wouldn't give a better price, that I would steal it. I recommend going here only if you know they have something necessary in stock. Perhaps this is not the most savory area, but, use some common sense when detecting thievery. Not the guy with a pile of music being purchased! I will stick to Portland, Mill Creek, Scarborough, and Portsmouth, NH; all had extremely awesome and helpful staff- not to mention FAR BETTER selections of underground and extreme music! read more

Its a CD, LP, Video Game, Trinkets, etc. store. They have used VHS tapes for nearly nothing. This is great if you are a fan of old technology like I am. The place does smell awkward because of the ancient carpet and the leaky ceiling (thanks to an "on top of it" landlord i'm sure). Most of the good record stores smell weird anyway, its just not a priority or a concern to most music lovers. As with all Bull Moose stores, the prices are reasonable and the selection is solid. Anything they don't have, but is still in print, they can order and you will generally have it within a week (depending on obscurity level). read more
