I recently ordered some "Get Well Soon" flowers for a remote coworker, as he had mentioned to me that he'd be having surgery. Since I wanted to ensure they were fresh flowers, delivered in a vase, to arrive on the day of his surgery, I decided to order in advance directly from a local florist versus the 1-800 online option. I found Augusta Florist and ordered on their website. Unfortunately for my coworker, the surgery got postponed, TWICE! Fortunately for me, I ordered directly from Augusta Florist and was able to call them both times and request a cancelation. They refunded me the entire amount both times, without hesitation! The third surgery date actually happened! My coworker got his surgery! But I forgot to order the flowers!! I had been so busy/caught up with work that it just slipped my mind. The day I realized it (this past Monday), I went online and ordered right away. If you order by 1pm, Augusta Florist can deliver same day. I submitted the order shortly after 11am and just before 1pm, he messaged me saying the flowers had arrived! WOW talk about fast service. This florist came highly recommended by three Augusta-area friends. (I learned the hard way not to order from two area Berry & Berry locations.) Although this popular florist created an attractive floral arrangement, the error made was too large for me to write a five-star review. The 'Thinking of You' arrangement I ordered was indeed beautiful-- see pic. However, it was EXTREMELY important that it be delivered on Feb 3, what would have been my mother's birthday. I ordered the bouquet as a "cheer you up" arrangement for a loved one. My bill came to $104.34. But unfortunately, the flowers arrived a day AFTER they were needed. The florist/delivery woman relied on Google maps to locate my sister's home; Google maps has an incorrect home pictured. (Google maps often has incorrect address labeling; a former home of mine was mislabeled.) The driver went to the wrong house-- the house next door & in earshot of my sister's. (My brother-in-law was home all day.) The delivery woman did phone my sister, leaving one message; however, my sister was in an on-line meeting within her home & did not listen to the message until the end of the workday. While in the area, had the driver phoned me (as other florists have done), I could have immediately pointed out the Google Maps error & directed the driver to the correct home. And perhaps had the driver phoned my sister again before leaving the area, my sister would have realized the importance of the call & picked up. It's now a moot point. Via email, I notified the florist of my frustration that the arrangement was not delivered on the reserved day -- frustration that an arrangement whose SOLE purpose was to brighten a bad day DIDN'T. Someone within the floral shop did respond to my email & included a nameless apology, but an apology wasn't enough. A phone call would have been more personal (or at minimum a signed email apology). Additionally, an offer to credit the $10.95 delivery fee would have been a PROFESSIONAL & fair move. Will I use this florist again to send arrangements to my friends & relatives in the August-Gardiner area? Probably. The flowers were fresh & vibrant, the arrangement was well-done, & there are limited quality floral shops in the area. Will I phone first & get an assurance of a delivery date & ask questions to ascertain the florist knows where the delivery address is? Definitely. I spent over $100 with a goal to cheer someone up on a most difficult day-- a particular day that went unrecognized. read more

Sent flowers to my parents for their anniversary. Placed the order online the night before at like 9pm. Was worried they might not get them the following day because I ordered so late. Augusta Florist delivered what I understand to be a beautiful arrangement next day no problems. Parents said they were the nicest flower arrangement they've gotten in a long time. They did all the bouquets for my wedding. I chose to bo a bridal bouquet and a bouquet for each of my bridesmaids. I went in with lots of pictures, a color scheme and a budget. I met with Jaqueline who helped me chose the bouquets of my dreams. She made helpful suggestions and made some changes to help better suite my budget. They even have a large catolog of flowers (some of which I have never even heard of) to help make selections They hand wrapped each bouquet and delivered them on the day of my wedding, each in its own vase with water. I had purple hydrangeas with plum calalillies, wax white flowers and greenery,hand wrapped with white ribbon. The bridesmaids had white roses with wax white flowers and greenery, hand wrapped wrapped with purple ribbon. They were all beautiful. read more

Ordered a bouquet for my mom for Valentines day. The temp was below freezing so they called her ahead of delivery to make sure the lovely flowers would not freeze. My favorite part of the process was being able to order online! I'm a busy person and on the west coast so this was perfect for me! They sent me an invoice to confirm the order as well as delivery confirmation...although I received a call from my mom first ecstatic about the flowers! I specifically do not use a middle man site (ie: flowers.com or ftd.com, I searched yelp and picked out the best one! I'm glad I did... I will be using them again in the future! read more

i can't say enough about how awesome this shop is! it is clean, fragrant, warm, and inviting. the prices are fairly good as well on their flowers. i bought flowers for my grandmother who is in the bangor hospital. there was special care placed to make sure the flowers made it to bangor and didn't even wilt a little. the colors were fantastic! the quality was superb, and the owner is just a pleasure! i got stopped so many times on the way to my grandmother's room to be asked about these flowers. i felt so proud to present them to her. they lite up her day, and her room. i couldn't ask for a better experience. much better than ordering them to be shipped to her (as i have not had much luck with that at all!) there is a lot to be said for a local florist. and i must say. i will be sending my husband here to pick me up flowers for the house. i will never go to another place to get flowers again! read more
