Every display was PERFECTION! It was definitely inspiring, and made me want to plan out an entire re-do on my home decor. Service here is top notch, we met the owners and they are very sweet. What frustrated me most was the assumption that I didn't know how to plant a shrub properly.I have planted well over 100 trees and shrubs over the years and understand proper planting techniques. Rather than feeling like a valued customer, I felt reprimanded and talked down to. The most insulting part of the interaction was being told they would "exchange it this time," as if they were making a special exception rather than addressing a legitimate concern.I've spent thousands of dollars at Longfellow over the years because they carry one of the best selections in the region. Unfortunately, this experience reinforced what I've encountered before: some of the sales staff can come across as arrogant and dismissive, particularly when a customer raises an issue. It's especially disappointing because Longfellow is the largest garden center in the area and has so much potential to provide an outstanding customer experience. I don't expect perfection, but I do expect to be treated with respect and not have my knowledge and experience discounted. This interaction was a real letdown.
