Went to plants unlimited to find rhubarb (and yeah I'll go with the fact that it was a little late…read morein the season like late June) But the attitude I got from the worker when I asked if they had had any was unbelievably rude. It was like they had expected me to understand they're entire system and when they don't replenish certain plants/vegetables. I went to Guinea ridge farm for the first time just to look as I had already been everywhere else I could think of looking for rhubarb plant and sure enough they had it. It wasn't just about finding the rhubarb plant as much as the shocking difference in the customer service. There was an amazingly friendly fellow and he had come to me first asking me how I was and if I had needed any help. An absolute gem of a person, but it's was not only that one person I would say every worker there is absolutely stellar. I'm very happy to have found this place and will be a forever customer. Also I absolutely love the watering system they have implemented. Having the plant tables covered with a plastic like material to hold water to water from the bottom is so very good for the plants and works wonders for them obviously seen in the quality of the plants. On the topic of plant quality I don't think I have ever seen them have a discount area for sick/dying plants if that gives any insight to how well they care for the plants they sell. When it comes to pricing I would say yea it may or may not be a bit more than Home Depot or plants unlimited but the quality could never be beaten. I've always had the worst experiences getting plants like succulents etc from Walmart/Home depot where they have literal pests eating away at them or root rot from overwatering! But you can trust these guys when it come to quality control. You guys rock!

It was huge had 2 big white roses , lilies and was so big that we had to make a new bouquet that the bride could carry for the simple wedding from OTHER flowers we had purchased elsewhere to decorate the house. The HUGE bouquet was used as a floor decoration. A small hair barrette was also ordered- it was specifically to be tiny with no baby's breath but just two red rose BUDS. It was white and it was not roses at all and was large. A friend remade this with , again, flowers we had purchased for other use elsewhere. The groom's boutonniere , which was to be one small red rosebud, was a huge white rose. One wonders if there was some agenda here or simply poor service. These were all carefully ordered. The blossoms used were all reasonably fresh but this caused us to need to call a friend in at the last minute to fix the flowers.

I searched desperately and when I called Shelley's Flowers and gifts, I was greeted with a very calming and reassuring voice saying that she would do everything I had requested! I was updated throughout the process and it warmed my heart to know that my dear friend was given exactly what I knew she wanted! When I called my friend to see if she liked everything, she said that she had already been enjoying a glass of wine and that the flowers were BEAUTIFUL! Thank you SO very much for taking care of my dear friend and doing such an exceptional job of it! I wish I could give you 10 stars!!!

I was seriously disappointed. I was so excited about the plants coming. Bummed that one or two…read moredidn't come due to "not being up to their standards." When the package came it really made me wonder what their standards were. Only one item looked decent and that was the goatsbeard. The package was the plants tucked into brown paper envelopes, stacked on top of each other. The two Solomon Seals did not look good at all, two others were pretty much dead. Two trilliums looked half dead and squished. I contacted them and they said to give them a bit and plant them right away. I want to add that shipping had not taken long after they mailed it, a couple of days. I had potted them literally an hour after getting them. I'm not a novice, I'm a Master Gardener and Native Plant Advisor. I gave them more than two weeks. The two nearly dead finished dying. One of the Solomon's was still looking terrible. The other had put up a new shoot. The Trilliums continued to die down but I'm hoping next year they come back. I contacted them and after jumping through hoops I got some of my money back. I will never buy from them again. The biggest annoyance was their excuse that plants don't ship well. I told them that maybe they should not offer to ship plants. I've ordered plants from Holland and England that for the most part didn't have any issues. I'm sure a couple of states away should be doable.

It's a a magical place. Staff is so helpful. Little bit pricey but worth anything you spend there…read more They have everything we want or need to grow a beautiful garden in Maine.
