Has everything one needs for home gardening and landscaping. Plus an amazing gift shop and kitchen store. Nothing seemed overly priced, it's as expected. So that was good. We stocked up on perennials for our new house and loaded the car up with soil and compost. There's employees all over the place, like little worker bees. So someone to answer any questions you might have, or to locate a person who can.

Asked a few people in town and was recommended to go to Robin's. Tucked away on a dirt road is this expansive operation! Several greenhouses filled with plants of every size and color! Staff active plant care and there to help you find things as well as answer any questions you may have. I parked at the first entrance which is actually the back parking area, I recommended going to the second and official entrance when you go. They have carts to help you gather your botanical babies in as you go. I actually ended up with too many tomato plants! I can share. I enjoyed the selection but did not see some of my favorites like the Black cherry cherry tomatoes (Yum!), so I am trying some new plants in a new territory. Thank you Robin? YES, she works there as well as being the name sake. Next time I will go for an herb Dish.

If you come here and cannot find what you are looking for then I think you will have a hard time finding. For example on hydrangea you will not only find 3-4 varieties but you will find 10 diff ones to choose from. It is incredible! There are a huge section of fruit trees as well . Plus you cannot find better prices anywhere. Staff are nice and will help you with any questions and will help you loading trees / plants to your vehicle. Just cannot beat this green center . And I have been to many being a plant / tree lover .

They have a nice selection of plants when it is warmer. I stock up on Meaties wild bird food when I'm there and the friendly staff will even load those 50lb bags into your car. Paris farmers market has an Excellent price for this premium wild bird food. I buy it there regularly. Browsing through the store is a treat. Farming items, hardware, gardening, pets, tools and more. It is absolutely worth a stop when you are driving through Paris.

When the package came it really made me wonder what their standards were. Only one item looked decent and that was the goatsbeard. The package was the plants tucked into brown paper envelopes, stacked on top of each other. The two Solomon Seals did not look good at all, two others were pretty much dead. Two trilliums looked half dead and squished. I contacted them and they said to give them a bit and plant them right away. I want to add that shipping had not taken long after they mailed it, a couple of days. I had potted them literally an hour after getting them. I'm not a novice, I'm a Master Gardener and Native Plant Advisor. I gave them more than two weeks. The two nearly dead finished dying. One of the Solomon's was still looking terrible. The other had put up a new shoot. The Trilliums continued to die down but I'm hoping next year they come back. I contacted them and after jumping through hoops I got some of my money back. I will never buy from them again. The biggest annoyance was their excuse that plants don't ship well. I told them that maybe they should not offer to ship plants. I've ordered plants from Holland and England that for the most part didn't have any issues. I'm sure a couple of states away should be doable.

I have to say, I am a little biased. I grew up in this greenhouse, my grandfather founded it, my…read moreaunt and uncle own it, and my cousins run it. But bias aside, it is a great place. The girls really are talented with flower arranging, and deliver those arrangements to the surrounding areas. In May, Memorial Day orders are taken for urns, baskets, and graveside planting for the cemeteries in the surrounding towns (something I have fond memories of helping with). If that's something you like to do yourself, there is a large selection of annuals and perennials, as well as ornamental, fruit, and other trees. The greenhouses also offer succulent plans and ferns, vines, and ivy. With a wealth of knowledge handed down through generations, the friendly staff are eager and able to answer any of your gardening questions. They also have a fairly active Facebook page!

Only warning (to us older people), this is a long way out in the woods and they do not have a restroom. Stop in Belfast at Reny's before continuing out Rt 3 to the Ridge Rd. It is a dirt road, but not in bad condition.
