Every single time I visit Morning Glory I spend way more money than I was expecting to (and leave…read morewith way more stuff than I came for)! How can I not when they carry products I... a) have never heard of b) have always wanted to try and had never been able to find before c) can't find anywhere else From healthy looking organic produce, to a plethora of gluten-free cereals, to the odd can of locally made beer that was sold out months ago in Portland, to frozen and refrigerated foods not carried elsewhere (like vegan salami! like vegan cheeses you've probably never heard of! like locally made - not just artisans from Cumberland County, but Androscoggin and Sagadahoc too!). Morning Glory is truly a natural foods store paradise. I drive out of my way to come here - I think it's probably the best natural foods store in Maine! - because there's so much right about this little local spot (prices, variations on themes of items, the smell [how can we bottle this up?], the candle and other home goods/gift options, the seasonal items, the staff seems more willing to help than ever before, even the space itself is welcoming despite it being overly crowded with shelves and people). I'm proud to support my local independent grocer!

I was just in today on the 17th of January 2026 and I bought 1 lb of venison deer meat for well…read moreover $10 and found out that it was expired on the 13th of January 2026 after I got home I immediately went back to the store and asked them to give me a discount or to give it to me for free because it was well past the 13th expiration date he then gave it to me and told me I could have it but when I asked for a refund of my money as well after he had given the steak to me he reached out and took it back and went to the back of the store and brought me out a frozen block of non-expired product of the same thing so he wasn't obligated by their company policies and like every other company that sells food nowadays is obligated to give it to you at a discount or free and certainly when you discover that it's several days expired past this expiration date didn't give me my money back he intentionally withheld my money and didn't even give me the expired steak which they were going to throw out I'm extremely displeased with them he argued with me for several minutes no one damn well he was in the wrong and then he also had the nerve to threaten me with the police when all I wanted was my money back and I had proof with my receipt and everything that I needed so he just bought himself an extremely bad review and they're going to be lucky if I shop there from now on and I'm going to make sure all of my friends and everybody that I know what kind of company natural food stores is and that they don't honor their policies especially when it comes to expired products mainly food he basically told me I could have it was going to give me my money back and then change his mind after he handed me the steak and I had it in my hand he took it back from me out of my hand and walked away returning with new stuff as I said just to deny me what I had every right to have so that's why I'm writing this bad review so you can expect that they will treat you the same way apparently I wouldn't expect anything less I wasn't going to expose this but I'm tired of this kind of crap going on companies not honoring their policies when they're supposed to so if I were you people I would think twice about shopping there and definitely check the expiration date every damn time because they're selling stuff on purpose 7 days old and charging people full price for it and then when people realize it they're calling them liars or that it was marked wrong well if it was marked wrong then that's their fault they have to honor it just saying!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

It was good. We chose this location because friend is unable to eat MSG and on the door, there is a…read moreno MSG sign. The food portions were generous - great value for price. We all got combos. The General Tso's chicken was the nicest surprise - nice quality chicken breast meat. I enjoyed my Thai Fried rice, however the flavors were a bit dull, however, I still enjoyed it. The Vegetable Gyoza was nice and flavorful. The dumplings were plump and delicious. Inside, was dark and didn't look like the dining area was open. When we walked in, we were acknowledged our order was processed and we were on our way. It was a very transactional experience. it's nice there was a parking lot. I might visit again, if someone is unable to eat MSG.

What a surprise! I was with a coworker in the area looking…read morefor lunch. Often to Joshua's, which was out of this world, expensive, a spinach salad for $24.99, a wilted salad at that. I'm not paying $25 for old spinach that you're calling wilted. We saw a little farmers market thing going on in a little park on the walk over to Joshua's but it had ended by the time we realized our mistake and tried to walk back. Then we spot this little hole in the wall. It looked like it was once a gas station Asian food restaurant. The front of the building read: Chinese, Japanese and Thai food. We like all of those things so we headed over and took a chance. They no longer offer table service, but there was a sign that said you're welcome to eat your food inside, so we did. The menu was like any other Asian restaurant, all the staples were there, the lunch specials that include your eggroll and soup, choice of fried rice or white rice. So we ordered a couple lunch specials. And two are surprised it was insanely good. It wasn't like fine dining Asian food, it was more like comfort Asian food. My pad Thai was real pad Thai, it was sweet and it was sour, it was the spice level I asked for! It did not taste like spicy dried peanut butter rubbed all over rice noodles. There was a fantastic sauce to it. The miso soup I ordered was light and refreshing, yet comforting, like something your mom would make. The outside of this building looks like it's going to make you sick, ignore that part and go inside.
