It feels like you've stepped into someone's home or personal art gallery (a relaxed one run by super nice, super hip people you could kick back and have a local beer with, not the stuffy kind that won't let you touch anything and watches you like a hawk as you peruse). But this is a shop. One where you can purchase (without breaking the bank, might I add) seaweed specialty foods (like granola bars, sauces, teas), seaweed and sea inspired bath and body items (DYK: seaweed is rich in vitamins, minerals, and contains anti-inflammatory properties?!), seaweed and sea inspired home goods, and more. I believe most (if not all) of their items are also local and sustainably sourced. Could it get better? YES. Because, they've got a beautiful focus on education and ocean conservation as well - so you can buy reusable, non-breakable straws, wine cups, and pints here. #beatplasticpollution As a mermaid, this has easily become my favorite store in all of Portland.

I walked away with some cute shower aromatherapy scent bombs which i've never seen before, that made my giftees super super happy! The dog items were also cute, including like a seaman's rope leash thing. PROTIP: Some of the seaweed is actually cheaper around the corner at the Portland Co-op.

The prices are marked up some due to being inside the airport so understand that. They are part of the book program though where buy a book and if you have the receipt you can get money back on your next book. So if your a frequent flyer you should look into this option. They do have glasses and such which is helpful if you need something quick. Cute maine odds and ends also which are nice. Agin if you can buy them out of security just because it will be cheaper most times. Sometimes they do have sales on though so check and see what they are offering. You can buy and donate items to service men. I recommend the beef jerky if you do it. All in all if your pinch they will do. Always check in for sales if you have time.

When I asked the clerks what the name of the store is - they told me it's a "Paradies Shop" - which is the company that runs it. In any case, this store carries cold bottled water and sodas, snacks, toiletries, books, magazines, newspapers, and tourist knick-knacks. I picked up some cold bottled water here after passing through the TSA security checkpoint.

Think trinkets, unique gifts, spiritual based items and more can be found here. Also must give praise that the owner did a great job decorating the space. Prices seemed reasonable as well so no complaints in that aspect. While we did not buy anything during our stop we appreciated a lot of items. Some of the items were quite funny with some adult humor including some candles with names such as "Sample My Box" as a valentines themed candle as one example. Definitely had some laughs at those items. If oddities, metaphysical, witch, magic based items give this place a chance.

They offer an array of trinkets, clothing, books, tarot cards, jewelry, and more, all geared towards the modern witch, Wiccan, or spiritual person. They even have Krampus-themed goodies! It's a cozy space that is expertly decorated; it's easy to connect with your inner witch, whether you're a seasoned practitioner or curious about the practice. The owner (Patti), is exceptionally kind and fun to talk to. You can tell how passionate she is about the store and the beliefs that fueled its inception. I can't wait to check out the tarot and astrology readings that will be available soon, or the spooky Christmas decor!

I'm nuts about squirrels (see what I did there?) and when I saw hats and shirts with a squirrel eating a burger and fries or a Tootsie Pop, I was in heaven. In a nutshell, the artist makes these cool designs with raccoons, pigeons, squirrels, rats, etc and then those are put on t-shirts or on patches that are sewn onto hats/beanies/bags, etc. The beardy fellow working there was also awesome and you could tell he was passionate about the art that the store was selling. When my friend mentioned he liked the "Pigeon with Dunkin" patch but couldn't find a bucket hat with one on it, the gentleman offered to sew one on in real time. Literally two minutes later, my friend had a bespoke pigeon bucket hat! If you love urban animals, you'll like this store. If you can't get to Portland, check them out online. https://flynhats.com/ I can't wait until it gets colder and I can wear the Pigeon with Dunkin beanie that I bought!

They have beanies, trucker hats, bags, stickers, notebooks, stickers and more. All with the absolute perfect artwork of animals, mostly getting into mischief. Imagine raccoons enjoying candy, goat chewing beer can, pigeons with coffee and donuts. Truly special artwork in my opinion. An artist I look forward to continuing to support. Great shop addition to the old port.

I go to this Paper Store often for various things; cards, candles, games, and gifts. (I mean it's right next to a Hannaford... how can I resist every time I get my groceries!) They really do have a little bit of everything. But really it is the staff that makes this store get an enthusiastic 5 stars. Everyone is always SO friendly and helpful (but not in a pushy way). If you want to strike up a conversation, they will talk to you, but you won't be dogged by people trying to sell you everything in the store. I also love that they have a relatively large amount of staff for the store's size. On any given day, I usually see someone stocking, a cashier, a greeter, and another person or two floating around to help where needed. This means that I never have waited on line for more than 5 minutes (even on weekends) and when I've needed help, I never had to search fruitlessly for a free employee. The store is alway clean and the merchandise neatly arranged. Keep up the good work everyone!
