The pharmacy at this location seems to make up their own rules on when I can receive my medications. My doctor prescribes my medications on a monthly basis lock clockwork, and for the first few months everything was going well. After a few months, this Walgreens would put holds on medications and not give me a good reason as to why. They usually blame the app (which is also garbage) or correct it for me. I attempted to create a schedule with them so that I can receive all my meds at the same time, and they managed to mess that up as well. I'm currently looking for another pharmacy. read more

The employees at this Walgreens, pharmacy drive through are engaging in a harassment campaign, a secret program, I guess against minorities or Muslims etc. Because this has been a pattern I have noticed their giving like a bad attitude telling me that they can hear me or talking in a loud rude manner or not giving good instructions. And making weird faces, etc. So this is Why am posting a review and giving one star. There dissolved a 0 star and this Walgreen should be shut down because I have complained to the management and it seems like they are taking part in this because they take the side of the employee and make excuses so I recommend I believe these stores like these should be shut down and business should be.Done online. read more

Run don't walk away from this pharmacy I have had nothing but problems. From miscommunication, customer service,and willingness to help with insurance issues. I've chosen to take my business to another location. Don't waste your time or patience with this location. It's a shame too location is convenient but I would rather take the ride elsewhere. read more

This dirty and poorly stocked Walgreen's is more a zoo than a pharmacy or store. The place is regularly understaffed, especially in the Pharmacy. I've waited for over an hour just to give them a new prescription. They are so slow that you will see them frequently take more than 20 minutes to help a single customer. Last week, with 11 customers waiting in line, the only person at the pharmacy register chatted in Spanish (I think they assumed I only soke English) about friends and relatives and made fun of people waiting in line. I've moved my prescriptions to another pharmacy. read more

When you call they either hang up on your face or keep you on hold for hours, they take advantage of the fact that they are in a Latino community and hire subpar personnel, they have no professionalism or customer service skills, if you can avoid this particular Walgreens please do so, you will thank me later... read more

Open 24 hours. Friendly staff. Ample parking. I always order my photos from here whether it be an album, canvas, or prints because they're reasonably priced and offer tons of discount codes for online orders. The only complaint is that sometimes there is no one working the photo dept and it takes a while for an associate to tend to the customer. It all depends on the time of day and if they're busy/short staffed. I will continue to come here for all my photography needs. Recommend! read more

It seems like things are getting better on the retail side. Workers are a bit friendlier. However, I have a gripe on the pharmacy side of things. My speciality pharmacy called to transfer the script to them, however when they asked Trey at Walgreens to please hold so they can get their pharmacist the info they needed he said no and hung up. Either a miscommunication or they are to busy too care. read more

This Walgreens is super busy all of the time. It's convenient because it's open 24 hours a day, which is a total plus. It can be considered your typical drug store selling everything from make-up to single roses. There are two cashiers that I think are professional and the others seem bothered and uninterested. They are probably this way due to the constant hustle and bustle of the place. The absolute worst part of this Walgreens is their pharmacy department. Long lines ALL of the time, and very often they do not have the meds you need. It's easy to refill online or on your mobile device and I do recommend that or you'll be waiting around forever, trust me. read more

I love this place so much! Whenever I need a pick-me-up before work, I always head on over to grab a Red Bull and a pack of cigarettes. Their prices on their hair products aren't bad either. The staff on the retail side are always friendly and courteous. They never hesitate to help you out if you need something, and in my 5 years of visiting the store, they've never neglected to serve. The pharmacy on the other hand.... can get a bit packed. Though it's not the clerk's fault that many customers haven't bothered to learn English and don't understand them when they're explaining the prices for their prescriptions. When my own prescriptions went through Walgreens, I never had an issue. In fact, I always was given fast service when I got to the counter. I definitely recommend this location to anyone passing through the Perth Amboy area, as it has a great selection of items for perusal, reliable over the counter goods such as aspirins and allergy medications, and nice employees. read more

Yes it is busy,its 1block from a hospital and in a city of mostly Latinos. There is a lot of confusion due to people not knowing what they are entitled to prescription wise. Too much time is spent with these customers they should be handled on the side, and let the customers that have legit insurance,and have called ahead and have their prescriptionsready. This is a corporate problem if they don't have money for a full staff. I find the pharmacy to be extremely courteous and helpful even to the nastiest customers read more

I hate wait time here. Everytime you come in to fill a prescription its always a big line due to short staff. They tell you 15 mins it ends up being 45-1 hr. Only reason i come here is because I need the medication ASAP as soon as I leave the emergency room. I do however hve my own pharmacy on Amboy ave which picks up and delivers to your house. read more
