Disclaimer this isn't our pharmacy but... A family member shared with us a link for Rite Aid in the second week of February for the COVID-19 vaccine (Moderna). I figured why not ? Just another site to register here in New Jersey for that elusive vaccine. Well, it actually worked. Put in our zip code and this location popped up and available two days later. At that time they were only doing 20 doses a day. Now in mid - March they have ramped it up to 40 a day. We had our second shot this past Saturday. Feeling pretty good two days later. After some soreness in the area and a little fatigue yesterday. Even though you'll get an appointment date and time for both shots, expect to wait a little past your appointment. That's because this location only has one Pharmacist ( Jessica), doing all the vaccines. She has answered all our questions before and after both visits here. My advice, if I may , and you're getting yours go to smaller sites and avoid the larger/mega centers. read more

Update: instead of just filling my prescriptions, the most rude woman on earth decided to give me a hard time on the phone instead. I first called and asked if I could come in an hour, she responded "no. You can't. Just wait for the text". Ok. I waited a few hours and called back to ask if there was a problem with my prescription, and was told "we're short staffed and busy" and was hung up on. Really great service over here! read more

If I could give 0 stars I would. I went to urgent care on Wednesday because I was having chest pains. The doctor said I had a stained muscle and sent my prescription to Rite Aid. I called 2 hours later and after being on hold for 30 mins I was told my insurance wasn't on file then I was told oh we found it. Then I was told to verify my cell number they would text me when it was ready. Spent the evening in pain because they never texted. I ended up taking some Tylenol. The next evening my wife gets a text on her phone that my order was ready. How they get the numbers mixed up, no clue. Management needs to be fired. read more

I hate to leave bad reviews, but this pharmacy has messed up royally more than one time. The most recent time is they removed a prescription from my account and took it off of auto refill so now I am out of medication and it won't be refilled in time. This rite aid's customer service is also terrible, they never answer the phone and when they do they often hang up. It is absolutely terrible. I never want to use this pharmacy again. read more

Today I went to the drive through pharmacy at the Rite Aid in Parlin NJ to pick up my anti viral medication for covid treatment. I also asked for Sudafed. They would not sell it to me at the drive through. I explained that I have Covid and I cannot go into the store, The Pharmacist stated "I'm sorry but you need to enter the store to purchase Sudafed. She stated that It's a state law & she cannot do it. I said OKAY then I will come inside to get it. She said sir you cannot enter the store with Covid! This is so absurd & something needs to change, They will not deliver Sudafed, You cant pick it up at the drive through, What is the difference if I hand you my drivers license at the drive through or hand it to you over the counter? What can someone do to get the medication they need if they have covid & cannot enter the store? read more

The worst customer service especially the african america woman with big afro working at the pharmacy drive up window, she NEVER says hello, thank you, have a good day NOTHING!! She doesn't even wait for you to sign for your script just sticks it in the drop window and walks away, um REALLY aren't you at least supposed to ask if I have any questions about my script? There is also only one person working at the pickup desk with very long lines! There are not enough pharmacists or staff working here you will be waiting for hours! Super rude and demeaning pharmacy workers! i went to pick up my prescription at the drive thru. the lady asked my name and date of birth i gave it to her and waited another 5 min for my prescription mind u i refilled it the day before....she looks at my prescription which was for birth control asks me my date of birth AGAIN looks back at the package and shakes her head in disgust...? really?? the lady was wearing green glasses and was black and always has an attitude ! and really if you're working at a pharmacy or anything to do with medical needs you shouldn't be judging a patient a customer or whatever for any reason. read more

I'm not one to write bad reviews. I totally understand that things happen and some of those things are out of our control but what a terrible system you have in place here. I have a doctor that is around here but I live about 45 minutes away. I like this doctor so no I won't go to one closer to home. The doctor called it into this pharmacy because it's close to his office, they use goodrx and I can pick it up on my way home. After it got called in they called and said they had to order it and to come back tomorrow. No big deal. I come back the next day around noon and they say they still have to go through the order and come back at 5/6. Again I live 40/45 minutes away. I drive back at 5 and after about 30 minutes of looking they say they forgot to order it and it won't be there until Friday. And the pharmacist has an "oh well" attitude. I'll never use another rite aid pharmacy again. I'm trying to get it transferred to a pharmacy closer to me now and nobody is answering me. read more

One star maybe to much, this place is the worst pharmacy in the state of NJ. The people working here are some of the slowest and incompetent humans I have ever encountered. Always a 20 min wait to drop off and pick up inside or drive through. The woman with the dark hair always has some issue with something. Never a smooth, and when you have to pick up medicine regularly this place makes you more sick. Clean store, clean bathrooms. If you check the circular flyer they send out they frequently have cases of water and 12/packs of soda on sale. After Christmas time they have huge 75% off sales on tons of stuff in the store. There is also a GNC in the back portion of the store, they don't have everything but if you run out of protein and are in a pinch they got it. read more

The Pharmacy team goes out of their way to make sure you're cared for. Even though it is a part of a large company you are seen as an individual. Some of the reviews on this website are absolutely rediculous. This is a very high volime store with only two full time Pharmacists, one full time Pharmacy Tech, and a few part tone employees. I have witnessed customers be rude, have rediculous expectation, and come close to downright verbally abusing the Pharmacists. Adults should know that they can not walk out of their Doctors office, drive straight to the pharmacy, and actually expect their order to be complete. Some medications require preauthorization, insurance approval, and specific instructions. Collete works super quick to get done whatever needs to be done to ensure quick filling. Che and Jessica go above and beyond to make sure my medications are in stock and ready for me. This team gives you all the attention of a small pharmacy while being a national chain. Go somewhere else for the pharmacy. Some of the assistance people working at the pharmacy are horrible. They must be related to whom ever hired them and feel they don't have to courteous. They treat customers as an annoyance. I know this is NJ but a simple please and thank you go along way. That's just basic. However to treat customers like crap? They have no concept of what a drive through is. They will ignore you hoping that you will just give up in frustration. In person they aren't any better. Those who work the store (except pharmacy) do know what customer service is and this has nothing to do with them. Just stay away from the pharmacy. The drive thru system is the most incompetent that I have seen. I took my third Covid test here and have waited at least 35 minutes each time. It appears that the pharmacist takes a 15 minute break between each client. read more

This is a pretty nice rite aid, it's very large and it has a huge cosmetic and hair care section. All the people in the store and in the pharmacy are nice, the store is very clean and organized. Very large selection, if you are looking for something on sale from the flyer you will probably find it here if the other stores are sold out. I used to prefer cvs but after my insurance changed I had to start getting my prescriptions here and I actually now like rite aid better. Their prices are really good as well, especially when they have the plenti point deals, it's cheaper sometimes then Walmart without the hassle! read more

I usually go to Rite Aid in Edison but they didn't have my medicine in stock and I had to travel to this one in Parlin. I loved the place nice clean place with RediClinic every one greeted with smile and asked if I needed help finding stuff! My prescription was ready but they seem to have less people working in Pharmacy I felt bad one person was running around at drive thru and store pick up and drop off but still was fast and courteous he even let me know to take medicine with food. Made me feel special! Most of the cashier just rings up at the register and go back to business! I asked where laxative was he came with me to the self and explained different options I was impressed!! read more

I recently moved to the area & began using this Rite Aid a few months ago to refill my medications. We usually use the drive thru, the people that run the drive thru seemed eh ok but a little airheaded but I thought it was just me. Earlier today my husband picked up my prescription for Tramadol. Late in the evening I took the medicine bottle out of the bag so I could take it & noticed that the pills looked different. When I looked up the pills on the net it turns out instead of giving me Tramadol they gave me something called Trazadone.....I guess they sound similar but I almost took this stuff, good thing I noticed the pill shape was different. Have to go back tomorrow to see if they can give me the correct pill, not happy, would expect a pharmacy to be more careful. read more

The store is super convenient to me as its on my way to work but management needs to get a reign on this rogue employee giving everyone an attitude for no reason. I purchased a Covergirl eyeshadow yesterday and by the time I got home the entire eyeshadow was shattered. I went back today without the receipt to see if I could exchange the eyeshadow for the same exact one. I was told it did not leave the store that way and I didn't have a receipt so she would need to get the manager. The cashier proceeds to help the person behind me and then comes back to me never getting the manager. She tells me to get my ID ready and proceeds to give me a credit for half the cost of the eyeshadow. I asked about getting the even exchange and not wanting my money back and she tells me again t did not leave the store that way. The previous day when I made my purchases it was not simply one eyeshadow. I had a bag of items and they were all thrown in the same bag. So, she is correct in stating I did not purchase it that way but I also did not throw all the items in one single bag. I don't return makeup often but have never had an issue with an even exchange especially seeing the item hadn't even been opened. Customer service completely poor complete rude attitude by the cashier I will not be going back to this Rite Aid. All over a $9.99 item. I had spent over $70 the day prior. If I could rate this Rite Aid Pharmacy for NEGATIVE STARS I would. I have never in my life had to write a bad review for any reason but this was the absolute worst service I 've ever received. Every time I need to refill a prescription there is always an issue. I have called weeks prior to my pick up to make sure my prescription would be ready and still there would always be an issue. I basically have to do their job every time my refill comes around. Its a constant war. They should really consider hiring new staff, maybe someone who actually knows what they are doing and someone who is willing to do their job the right way. I nor anyone else should have to deal with such horrible service or the physical pain of being without their prescription. I also had my mother go to pick up a prescription for me, after I spoke with my doctors office to make sure that my prescription was sent over and it was, the worker behind the counter sent my mother away telling her they did not have my prescription. When I called the pharmacy not even ten minutes after my mother left they told me my prescription was ready for pick up. My doctor's office sent it over at 12pm. It was 4:30pm when my mother arrived. As you can imagine that was beyond frustrating. I cant believe these people actually get paid to constantly make mistakes, like I said this is not the 1st time this has happened to me. I am most defiantly changing my pharmacy and I advise anyone who is thinking about using this pharmacy to think again and go else where. read more
