Absolute worst pharmacy I've ever used in my whole entire life. The pharmacists are rude and incompetent. They try to charge me more than five times the amount that my insurance was going to have me pay. The list goes on and on. First of all please replace the pharmacist. I didn't get his name yet.. I believe he is East Indian. He was dispensing the medicines on Wednesday morning July 23,2925. he was very rude. No respect for women..I told him I changed from CVS to Walgreens because the CVS I was going to, no drive through. Sometimes, I pick up my husband's prescriptions many times I had to walk in even though my legs are hurting so I decided to change pharmacies. I have always liked Walgreens. I never experienced such rudeness before. He investigated the reason I had changed and Because the Dr told him I said CVS didn't have the medicine my husband needed I went to Walgreens. I SAID: the CVS has NO drive through. He called me a liar. He believed the Drs reason instead of what I told him. He also said he's not filling my husband's prescriptions anymore. He accused me of jumping pharmacy's. I have been going to CVS for a while now. I got tired of walking in. Even though my legs hurt he accused me of lying. I suppose the drs are always right according to the pharmacist. It's not right for this pharmacist to assume that I was lying. What a horrible, unhappy boy he is. Customer service is crap! This goes for the location at Avenue 42 also! You can not pick up prescription that is "ready" without waiting at least 15 minutes, usually LONGER! After being prescribed medication, I arrived at the pharmacy an hour later, AN HOUR AFTER IT WAS CALLED IN! And was told the Rx would be ready in 15 minutes. I waited in my car for 15 minutes. Upon return to the pharmacy reception area, I was told it be ready in 15 minutes again!!!!! You are sick (I had a bad tooth ache), and need your medication and this is how you are treated. I am recommending this pharmacy and pharmacist, Madonna. I called the pharmacy with a concern about an antibiotic for my Mom. She spent time on the phone with me and gave me the help I needed. We had our Dr prescribe a new antibiotic the next day. Later that day I received a call from the pharmacist checking in on my Mom to make sure the new antibiotic was not having any side effects. The WORST pharmacy in the valley!!! I have tried to call and they don't answer the phone. I have sat in the drive through for 10minutes and NOT one person acknowledges your there. I have sat in the line in the drive through when there were 5 cars and it took 45 minutes to get to the window and another 10 for someone to acknowledge. They consistently screw up my prescriptions. There are only a couple of the female staff that are nice and try. The rest appear to hate their job and dislike working with the public. Did I mention they are CLOSED on the weekends! I have been using this pharmacist for the past five years and never had an issue. This pharmacy has rapidly gone down hill in the past year and they're getting worse as the days go by. They are now completely disorganized. The pharmacy workers seemed not to care anymore. They act burnt out. I no longer get auto reminders for my medicine refills. I have to keep track as not to run out. When I do request refills through their automated system, it's a 50/50 shot that it will be refilled. Every other time I go there to pick up my medicine, I'm told they have no record of the refill and give me a look as though it's my fault. The only reason I try to stick with this place is because it's right around the corner from my house. From what I understand is that this Walgreens took all the customers from the RiteAid that closed across the street. They took them without adding any employees to handle the extra work. Walgreens! Don't use the pharmacy! They don't care about their customers. Horrible customer service and closed on weekends! I came here when they opened to get my sons seizure medication that we were completely out of. Even though I was the first one there the pharmacist said it would be 1 1/2 hours until they could refill the prescription even though it was already on file. I explained that this is seizure medication and he has already missed a dose so could we just get 8 pills and wait until this afternoon to get the rest and he refused saying he can't do that because he has one other customer in line. Worst store ever. Tried picking up a fedex package and was given such a hard time even though I had my ID, tracking number, email and proof of purchase. Just because something wasn't submitted correctly from the sender's end, I was made to run circles to get my package. Jose- Shift Lead and Laura were extremely rude, disrespectful and showed major lack of empathy. To say you are following policies and rules, this is an understatement. THey made me call FEDEX and the shipper to verify. Being on a power trip is so unnecessary. Another employee let me pick up package with my tracking number and ID right after. I was on hold for 22 minutes with the pharmacy. During that time I can hear them pick up and hang up immediately. I called from another phone. Now I have two on hold and they are doing the same thing. While still on hold I drive over to their store. I get to the pharmacy and no one is on line. I show my phone which is now 40 minutes on hold and I said See that flashing light on your phone? That's me on hold for 40 minutes. Wtf?? No answer. Just a shrug like oh well. I am a new customer to both the store and Walgreens as my pharmacy. I've been using CVS on Washington for years. I was so happy with the automated service, quick and smart. Today I went in and walked right to two waiting agents waiting to help. I was given the price earlier so I knew my cost, picked up 3 prescriptions and paid, out in five minutes! So much better!! I wrote a poor review when they took 45 minutes to get my flu shot. In reality after 50 minutes I was never seen and never got my shot. Figuring everyone has a bad day I rescheduled. It took 30 minutes to be checked into my appointment and was told it would be 20-30 minutes to get my shot. Again, every customer during my hour wait complained about the poor service. I STRONGLY recommend you go elsewhere - even a 20 minute drive away would be faster and less aggravating. read more

He said he saw my request but he would have to call the pharmacy that held the fill orders "and I've just been too busy to make the call." The Walgreens down the street unexpectedly and without giving me notice closed their pharmacy. Despite conflicting information on their website saying the site accepts walk ins, I was told I needed to make an appointment; this was strike one. I made the appointment a week in advance for the day before my only day off, so that I could recover the following day. Because of the upcoming holiday season, I wouldn't have time to alter this appointment, and needed to get my booster on that day. Well, when I show up to the neighboring Walgreens, they have, without notifying me, shut down their pharmacy. They would not be able to therefore honor my appointment, and told me to make a new appointment with a different location. Strike two. When I come to this Walgreens to ask if they can honor the other Walgreens' failed appointment, they say no. Strike three Now if I could just walk into any pharmacy and get the booster, this would not be an issue. Moreover, if I didn't have to make an appointment a week in advance, and reschedule for later in the day, then that would be a manageable inconvenience. Unfortunately, this was the only day I could get my shot, and I will not be able to reschedule before the holiday season. Walgreens has lost all my business in the future. read more

Went to the Walgreens in Palm Desert on Varner Rd. Sun. Had an appointment, made the appointment about five days ago, to get a flu shot which they confirmed online and with a text. We get there and the pharmacy is closed. No one called or text or Emailed to let us know they were closed. I just wanted to find out if my prescriptions were called in by my doctor and filled and ready to pickup. I actually waited on hold on my speaker phone while I worked for 1 hour and 10 minuets. I was caller number 3 when I started holding. after about an hour I got to 1 caller ahead of me. Then the phone line went from music to ringing again and then the line wend dead. Getting to this location from the freeway can be a little confusing the first time. We took a right on Varner only to realize that there is no left turn access. We ended up having to drive down and make a u-turn. Other than that, you have your typical Walgreens. We found the checkout employee to be very knowledgeable and helpful. So conveniently located off 10 fwy at Washington St. It's kinda hard to reach if you're coming from the fwy. Stay on Washington and turn right when you see Stater Bros. If you turn on Varner, you'll have to make a U-turn and drive back. This store is nice, new, and clean. The arrangement in the store is kinda different from what I'm used to, but they still carry the same items as other stores. The staff are friendly and helpful. I'm greeted immediately when I enter the store. And there's no code for the bathroom! I don't like when I have to hunt someone down to open the bathroom for me. read more

My sister went to pic up a picture of our grandparents that just passed away. The tall guy with dark hair who was working the evening of 11/25 was sooo rude about getting the picture for her, no greetings or anything. He even missed an extra picture she had to pick up because he was acting so bothered he walked away before she could tell him she had another set of pics to pick up. Then he checks my sis out, and Nicely starts conversing with another associate nearby him " all of a sudden" he was in a better mood. I picked up my mother's medication @ Walgreens (Varner @ Washington) while visiting. Thank goodness I checked her meds -- because it wasn't her medication!! When we took it right back to the pharmacist & explained that the meds weren't ours ... he argued with us & told us we were at fault ... another pharmacist came over looked at the meds then at my mother and said these meds are incorrect ... apologized & refilled the correct meds. We have transferred our families meds to a pharmacy down the street after hearing from others within the community that this has happened to many them as well - they encouraged my mother to switch pharmacy... I don't often write reviews for chain stores, but this store is so well-maintained and staffed, that I had to leave some compliments. I've been in this store a few times to pick up quick things like batteries and last-minute Halloween candy; I've also picked up photo prints here. Every time I walk in, I'm greeted with a smile and a friendly face. All of the staff here are very well trained in customer service and it shows! Recently, I needed a new cord to charge my phone, and I grabbed one off a shelf without really looking at it. The young man who rang me up at the register paused, and suggested a different cord that was longer and at a better price. Very cool! Great store - clean, well-stocked, and friendly staff. read more

Was responsible for getting photos for a funeral for my nephew that just passed away and the photos came out absolutely horrible. My nephews face was cut off out of ALL THE PHOTOS. Like how could you give this to a paying customer ?? And on top of that I ordered a photo book and they just gave me the photos. I use to work for Walgreens and it's common sense to make sure the photos are correct. I asked for a refund or the photos reprinted and they said they were unable to do both. I will never go to this Walgreens again! This is a disgrace! Service was very poor. I would definitely rate this store a 0 if that was possible.
