If I could do no stars, I would. They were not supposed to get an Rx that they did, but I instantly got a call that there would be a delay to filling so I got the Rx called to the right place and figured it would be filled there first. Well, the other place said it had been filled, so they couldn't. I spent over a half hour the first day trying to reach them to tell them not to fill and didn't reach them. The second day, I spent 45 minutes talking with someone and they said they would cancel it. Sadly, two hours later, they called me and said that the Rx's had been filled. That set me over the top. Never go there because it can take up to two weeks to get something filled and you never know if employees will really be working and that the Rx will be open even though it is posted open hours. This Walgreens is grossly understaffed and overpriced. Most staff are good and professional, but almost always harried. Turnover appears to be very high. I only go in every few weeks and often it's new people. I usually go in for something specific, often this is photo printing, which is generally good quality, but sometimes needs to be redone. I suspect this is due to new people doing the work. I almost never buy other items, not because there is nothing there that i buy but because their prices are horrible, They need to check their competitors (Walmart, BiMart, even Fred Meyer.) I'd like to see them get better, I'd use them more, but it's been like this for quite awhile now. read more

So I just tried to purchase a Kind Bar and was told at checkout that they couldn't sell it to me since it wasn't in the system. The gal at the register just put it aside even after I told her the price that was under the almost empty box on the shelf where I got it from. I asked her how they sold the rest of what was missing from the box and she said they were discontinued and could no longer be sold. I'm leaving this review late. Wanted to give a shout out to Lawrence. Came in to get cigarettes awhile back and they didn't have them. He went all the way in the back couldn't find them. I said no problem all good. He said wait got one more place to check and came back with them. I said thanks so much he said that's what customer service is all about. Also might I mention when he went to the back he was yelled at by his supervisor for leaving the register to look for our cigarettes? Don't they want a sale?? I recommend this Walgreens, they have new management, the manager is super nice , I love her so much. I always feel welcome when I stop by. I got some great deals with my Walgreens account, 15 $ for a hair straightener that usually cost 30 + wow! I absolutely love the decent priced soda pop. A candy bar and a belly washer make for a nice stop in. My wife buys her nails and other make up accessories here , and I absolutely enjoy her face when she finds what she needs. Worst Walgreens Ever Waited 40 mins for pre-packaged colonoscopy prep kit. When I arrived, told them I was paying cash as I couldn't wait to get to a Keiser pharmacy. Guy went to the back for very long time and finalky came back to tell me my insurance wasn't good. AAAAGGGGHHHH! Then took another 10min to print a label to slap on product and ring me up. They have messed up my prescription multiple times , and most recently, knowing how lame they are , gave them last chance and called to make sure they had what I needed. Terrible customer service at this Walgreens pharmacy. I've waited over an hour and then been told it wasn't even filled yet. Left and came back another hour later you guessed it Still Not Filled. Also they shut the doors and take an hour lunch in the middle of the day. I understand every one needs a break but stagger then or something, if your that backed up on getting prescriptions out. Here from out of town. Was on hold with pharmacy for 35 min. Finally hung up and called front of store. The woman helping me told me the pharmacy staff have been at lunch for 30 min. I left my number for someone to call me when they returned which they did. I jokingly said that they played a trick on me by going to lunch leaving me on hold. NO HANDICAP MOBILITY RIDE ON OR PUSH CARTS! I took my 92 year old father in to the Newport OR store for a widely advertised FLU SHOT. He would have had to walk with his walker ALL the way to the furthest corner of the store from the front door. Nicely advised by one of the 3 counter staff standing around talking. If I was there I would have gotten them to bring the shot up to the front. Sadly, he did not get his flu shot. Shame on you Walgreens. I expected better of you! The Walgreens pharmacy team has been wonderful. Both my husband and I are COVID19 vulnerable and needed an item for an upcoming procedure. It was not available at Freddie's pickup. The pharmacy assistant got it for us so it would be ready at the drive through when we picked up our Rxs that morning. That meant so much to us. They have always been wonderful, even when understaffed. read more

If I could give it no stars I would. Sat in the drive through for 1/2 an hour, then 20 minutes in front of the window just trying to get waited on. Then once we got waited on another ten minutes and the order was dropped off three hours earlier. They definitely need to address their staffing. An hour of my life I can't get back. The tech I talked to was clueless. Told me to come back after lunch to see my prescription is ready. Before I left, I wanted to confirm that my medication was in stock. He said "no." I have been going into this Walgreens for several months with my trained service dog. Most of the staff offer great customer service. Today an employee said dogs aren't allowed in the store. He did ask what service he does. But the employee continued to imply that dogs aren't allowed. Recently had a mix-up with prescriptions for my Dad following a major surgery of his. Not the pharmacy's fault at all, this was a mistake made by his hospital. However, this caused he and I a LOT of stress as I don't live in state and was preparing to leave the next morning. We were not easy to deal with. He was in pain and angry/rude to the Walgreens staff. I was mid-panic and not much help in calming him down. Despite our behavior, the pharmacist and the rest of the team here went above and beyond to make sure my Dad had the necessary meds he'd need for recovery. If you have a choice don't go here. The store is always empty but they cannot fill a prescription without a large delay. I was given a prescription for a very common antibiotic but they only had enough for half the prescription. I've been checking back but they haven't got around to opening the new shipment they received and can't tell me if the med came in or not. When they first opened and not so busy they were wonderful. Right now they have a serious staffing problem. If they tell you your prescription will be ready in 2 hours, count on 8 or maybe the next day. And after that wait be prepared to stand in line or in the drive-thru for 20 minutes, and possibly be told it's still not ready. I think there are some of the nicest people, phamacists and techs who work here, but I feel terrible for them. They seem harried and are obviously working their brains out to get orders ready. They just don't have enough people. My insurance only covers them and Costco mail order so I'm stuck. And I doubt it's much better at any of the other local pharmacies. The disturbing thing is that if there is a medication that needs to be filled for something of an emergency nature like an ER visit or post-surgery, there still seems to be no difference in the rapidity in which it is filled. Medically that's almost criminal. I visited a Walgreens in Rancho Santa Margarita CA twice this year both times needing an antibiotic. They were staffed unbelievably well. At least 3 people working the counters- they knocked themselves out getting prescriptions done in 10 minutes, 20 minutes max. So it can be done Walgreens- are you listening? read more

Is zero stars an option? Do not use. Here from out of town and they are the least responsive pharmacy I have ever dealt with. The local ER even advised we steer clear. Walgreens is even our home pharmacy, but this one is a mess. Use Rite Aid instead. read more
